A sword is at work in the earth; a sword the Christ came to bring. Within families that loss of peace becomes evident. Warmongers find a ready ear. Leadership promising peace gives up and turns instead to this sword. Excesses of it can lead to judgment by God, through dark forces manifesting in humans, and in Nature. Excesses of violence are pointed out for judgment. But in Christ mercy is found as well. Natural disasters are averted by faith. And still it continues until the Christ returns, and this time brings peace. The Christ opens seals the Father has ordained in heaven to trigger what is seen on earth. Jesus Christ has this authority to open each seal, and few seals remain. Did he come to bring peace when he came the first time? Not peace but a sword. And to bring light which eventually makes all things visible, even the thoughts of every heart; thoughts both good and evil. Truth and light, and a sword. Jesus is this Christ, this Lord.
