Today we might think lies and hatefulness are a problem only participated in by a few. Perhaps it is made to seem that most people shed such behaviour as part of growing up. Beware. We have strings pulling us constantly towards such behaviour to serve ambitions and agendas of the powerful, plus there is a blind eye turned, which many fear to expose or resist. It is these kinds of factors which Jesus came to undo, but that requires individual belief in him, and requires these individuals, like you and me, to hold to his teachings as a means towards learning truth that can set us free. The world does not want us freed, when this weakens the agendas. We have to overcome the world by faith. Trust and obey. That is the way. As part of that truth there is the obedience needed to commands of Jesus, which he tied to commandments of the Father and to his knowledge of what the Father is truly like and truly wills. It all comes with the promise of life. Jesus Christ died for you and for me. God then raised him to life, forever.
