Our true calling in life

It is our calling to be saintly: To put off the wrong stuff. Called to replace the wrong actions with right actions. Truth speaking instead of lying. Faithfulness in marriage, if we are married. Managing anger. Working instead of stealing. That is a start. Getting even better over time. It is about becoming a child of God, not by some theology or church membership but by becoming the kinds of people with actions worthy of being called children of God, adopted, sealed by manifestation of the Holy Spirit, called to be saintly. Jesus Christ died for us to enable it and to provide sacrifice for the past we have lived wrongly. He is raised from the dead. He is lord over us as we live in his way, holding to his teachings, believing in him, believing his urging us to stop sinning. But bad things happen to us if we don’t and he presides over the judging of us. Knowing both Jesus and the Father is the root of the truth we need to live up to the calling to stop sinning and live in his mercy.
