The Father and the Son

The Father is unseen spirit and certainly not flesh. The Son certainly is flesh (interestingly He said after His resurrection He is flesh and bone rather than saying flesh and blood - maybe flesh and blood is just an English expression though). The Son is flesh forever now - resurrected flesh. God is certainly not resurrected flesh. Flesh is weak. Because He is flesh, the Son is forever dependant on God's power for eternal life. Yet He has life in Himself too and can give life to whomsoever He wills so by God's power He is both flesh and life-giving spirit too. While on earth the Son was mortal until His resurrection. He even had to descend into Sheol because of His death. The Father is spirit only and is dependant on nobody. The Father cannot possibly die. The Father is greater than the Son and is God to the Son.
