Teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ

Live according to the truth revealed by Jesus; this is called walking in the light. Hold to Jesus’ teachings.

Practice continuous self-improvement based on faith entrusted to us by God; this is a teaching to keep us productive.

You have heard of talents and development of our talents. The main talent is faith. Build your self-development on that.

Stay calm and focussed on today: this is a teaching of Jesus. Pray away troubles without worry, leaving tomorrow till tomorrow.

Keep hypocrisy out of your actions and words as much as possible: this is a teaching of Jesus. Otherwise you will lead others astray.

Control anger so it does not unjustly harm others: this is a teaching of Jesus. Otherwise you will be mirroring the devil.

Be persistently kind to the poor: this is a teaching of Jesus. Otherwise the tables will be turned on you in the hereafter.

Treat others the way you want to be treated: this is a teaching of Jesus. In doing so you will be obeying the counsel of God.

Primarily love God: this is a teaching of Jesus. Keep God’s words visible at home; teach them to others. Love God with all your voice.

Work hard and honestly to provide for needs instead of leeching off others or stealing: this is a teaching of Jesus and the apostles.

Stay content and never greedy: this is teaching of Jesus. Life is no more abundant with more possessions.

Reflect often on the teachings of Jesus and welcome them when they come back to mind. They are spirit. They are life.

Pray short prayers: that is a teaching of Jesus. God won’t tolerate worldly wordiness, and in church it is showy and out of place.

Pray humble, candid prayers: that is a teaching of Jesus. God won’t tolerate boastful prayers, even if it sounds impressive.

Pray with thanks for answered prayers: that is a teaching of Jesus. It is shameful to forget to praise God when God heals or grants justice.

Pray privately: that is a teaching of Jesus. God rewards prayers not seen by others, prayed only for the approval of God.

When praying in church, keep it humble: that is a teaching of Jesus. Asking forgiveness as a sinner gets God’s respect.

Pray humbly in truth. Truthful humility is the language of the throne-room of Heaven. It can be endorsed with heavenly power.

Let God’s power teach and lead your manner of praying, by Heaven influencing you when you believe Christ died for you.

Take the language of Heaven into your prayers and from there into your daily speech. Truthful humility is that language. Never lie.

Ask God for justice; that is a teaching of Jesus. This avoids taking matters into our own hands and avoids violence.

Pray what you believe God will lovingly answer; that is a teaching of Jesus. Otherwise unbelief will contradict your prayer.

In your prayers, take a moment to forgive others; that is a teaching of Jesus. Then God will find no barrier to forgiving you.

In your prayers, ask for the Holy Sprit like a child would ask for bread; this is a teaching of Jesus. God gives freely.

Avoiding medication and, instead, asking God for healing; this is a teaching of Jesus. The medical ways have a shady past.

Following Christ requires a particular pattern of behaviour, both privately and in relation to others. Truth is central to this. Truth is real. There is the Holy Spirit who searches out truth and testifies to it. If everyone lies about an event there is still the event itself. The lies do not negate the reality that happened. The Holy Spirit searches out the truth of events and can bear witness in full accordance with that truth. When we receive the testimony of Jesus we receive spirit truth and can live by this testimony. This is called walking in the light. When we believe in Jesus and hold to the testimony and sayings of Jesus we become a child of truth and of light. We also become joined to a body of other children of truth and light and we must speak truthfully among ourselves. We are all one body with Jesus Christ as the head, the lord of this household of God.

Baptism is an important step of obedience, once we realise following Jesus is for us. We let others correct us or tell us how to be a better person more pleasing to God and acceptable to Jesus the Master, letting them educate our minds to be more truthful, knowledgable about Jesus and the Father and everything in the truth.

The truthful testimony we give to each other orientates us to be spiritual and ready for an eternity with Jesus, the Father and the other believers and even the holy angels. We let others guide us in the true teachings of Jesus to make big adjustments in our lives to accommodate eternal goals. There is all this that we should learn which comes from holding to Jesus’ teachings.

The ways to be integrated with a church make keeping further teachings of Jesus and apostles of Jesus necessary. Our minds need to learn to reject dishonest thoughts so they do not come out of our mouths or pollute our attitudes.

It is not always possible to stop our dishonesty and it can require miracles to convince us of the ways of heaven and the Holy Spirit to persuade us to be truthful, influencing us to see the virtue of honest, candid humility and the unworthiness of lying and exalting our egos. The power of Christ and of the message of His dying for you on the cross can open you to this heavenly influence. This comes as a free gift of God as you hold to Jesus’ teachings and the truth that is in Jesus sets you free. In turn, freely encourage and build up the other believers with sound doctrine and kindness, helping believers adjust their behaviour obediently, not causing them to stumble by yours, keeping hypocrisy out of the culture of the circle of believers with whom you associate.

Worldly influences often threaten to overpower our minds and sully our associations and meetings. Meditation helps to put these aside and give precedence to truth and the influences of Heaven, preparing our minds for prayer and making room for spirit to well up from within as God gives us the Holy Spirit as Comforter. Meditate to acquire calm inner hopeful joy and peace, thinking on true and wholesome things. It helps in overcoming the world by giving room to the persuasions which come from the God and Father of Jesus Christ.

Singing is another great help too and can be a sacrificial offering of praise to God. Good works can be an offering to God as well. Loving wholesome actions towards those in need and to share encouragement is vital, essential in life in the body of Christ. Christ commands it. Church can sometimes be difficult to attend for various reasons. Things we know we receive from God might be unacceptable to some churches who have become convinced of philosophies that make them resistant to other ways of thinking. Worldliness can have a strong influence on churches and their principles. This has been a historic problem along with divisions and schisms. Sometimes the problem might be our own behaviour being unacceptable to church folk and it might be for good reason taught them by God and good conscience.

Accept rebukes if given honestly and wisely. Sometimes more than a rebuke is needed and we must even accept being asked to leave until we can clean up our ways. Lately lockdowns prohibit some kinds of church meetings too. If you find attending church too difficult or if it discourages your sincere faith, there may be online services to which you can give attention, and even communion is sometimes celebrated online, a memorial of Jesus in bread and wine showing the body and blood shed by Jesus on the cross. It is good to be able to celebrate this memorial in actual meetings with other believers. It is good to see that others too partake this body and this blood of Jesus and share the covenant status it gives us permanently with God who raised Jesus from the dead. The risen Jesus shares the fellowship and brings fellowship with God to us too if we perpetually hold to His teachings and commands. We can look forward in hope to the resurrection Lord Jesus will bring us when He comes in glory to judge us and lead us.

In holding to the teachings of Jesus Christ, at some point it becomes necessary to accept the miraculous side of Jesus’ teachings. It is part of discipleship to do an equivalent of walking on water, exercising miraculous faith in God. Then things starts to get very real. Words alone do not change the surroundings but words of faith inspired to faith by Jesus’ words, this does affect the natural world in which God has placed us. Let faith in God take discipleship up a level. Jesus Christ taught all this. The results can provide a basis for belief in Jesus continuing throughout life. Then incorporating such faith into daily work too affects outcomes and increases wealth according to God’s will in service to God according to the Master Jesus. This can really increase what God provides, and the outcome is that of being a faithful steward. Service in worldly wealth services is rewarded with spiritual service and greater responsibility. Being faithful with worldly wealth leads to being faithful in spiritual things. It is quite a career in itself to follow Jesus: Not a church worker career like a hired hand; a voluntary whole life commitment that never stops.

We are bringing about the Book of Enoch

Followers of Jesus: We are bringing about the Book of Enoch by our needs as part of Jesus’ body. It might not be well documented, but once we start to recognise the power of spirit empowered by the One True  all-powerful God, it is necessary to consider that by spirit a person can influence and affect the past to meet requirements of the present in the love of God. The Christ influencing the past millennia and past centuries before His conception and birth is distinctly plausible. Possibly when His spirit was free of a body between crucifixion and resurrection He did this and there is a very real sense in which the Old Testament prophets had Jesus Christ right there with them requiring them to write about Him in present tense. Even placing a hand on the shoulder in reassurance and to impart strength, as when in the time after rising from the dead Jesus stood by the side of Paul to give him strength. The same is surely true with Enoch. Peter noted that Christ in spirit ministered to souls of those who perished in the Flood. I used to think it meant their souls at the time of Jesus being crucified, but it is plausible Peter meant Jesus did this ministry to the souls actually in the time after the Flood, by spiritually affecting the past by the power of God and power of spirit. This means the time of Enoch witnessed the Christ in spirit too and Enoch witnessed the Christ as the Son of Man. That time when Enoch was writing his Book, the Christ was influencing him by spirit from the future and we too who are Christ as Christ’s body do this too. Our needs are met in the Book of Enoch because by permanent association with Christ we are influencing what Enoch wrote - for us. All because of Christ. Christ is speaking to us now through the millennia past Book of Enoch.

Christ affecting times and prophets before His conception and birth

It might not be well documented, but once we start to recognise the power of spirit empowered by the One True  all-powerful God, it is necessary to consider that by spirit a person can influence and affect the past to meet requirements of the present in the love of God. The Christ influencing the past millennia and past centuries before His conception and birth is distinctly plausible. Possibly when His spirit was free of a body between crucifixion and resurrection He did this and there is a very real sense in which the prophets had Jesus Christ right there with them requiring them to write about Him in present tense. Even placing a hand on the shoulder in reassurance and to impart strength, as when in the time after rising from the dead Jesus stood by the side of Paul to give him strength.

Hate and love

Haters do not get to know the secrets of the kingdom of Heaven. First you have to be a believer and to have a growing love toward Jesus before you receive the Holy Spirit who guides true disciples into all truth. Then you will know these things.

The divine requirement

Throughout all history prior to the Christ’s birth there was a requirement that the Christ be eventually born; there was the full intention of God, doer even of the impossible, that the Christ would be born. In Abraham there was a promise given which revealed a refinement to this intention which was that the Christ would come from Abraham’s seed. This is what preserved  the Israelites in the desert.

Gravity and life

Gravity does not create life, so by scientific reasoning, the existence of life requires a creator of life.

What following Christ has meant for my life

I started listing ways that following Christ has required my behaviour to be modified constantly through my life. It gets very long but as I get older, maybe it is time pass it on to the next generation, what being a follower of Jesus practically might mean, as it has been taught me and as I would teach it to others. Note: Some of this was not self-taught, it took miracuolous events to teach and correct my behaviour. Here we go. Prayerfulness, asking for justice from God (to avoid violence, to avoid taking matters in my own hands), staying calm and focussed on today, never lying and always keeping my words and even my thoughts honest and truthful and my actions in line with truth, keeping hypocrisy out of my actions and words as much as possible, trying not to exalt myself, gratefully letting others correct me in truth when they can, recognising that truth is real and very important, controlling anger so it does not unjustly harm others, being constantly kind to the poor, forgiving others, treating others in the way we want to be treated, freely encouraging and building up the believers with sound doctrine and kindness, loving God by keeping God’s words visible at home and teaching them to others, working hard and honestly to provide for needs instead of leeching off others or stealing, staying content and never greedy, helping believers adjust their behaviour obediently, not causing them to stumble by mine, practicing continual self-development, meditating for calm inner hopeful joy and peace, asking for the daily dose of the Holy Spirit, asking for healing if necessary and avoiding medicine, these are some of the main ways I find my behaviour is called to change by Jesus’ teachings. Most of all, reflecting constantly on teachings of Jesus and welcoming them when they come back to me to guide my actions, correct me or tell me how to be a better person more pleasing to God and acceptable to Jesus the Master, and letting them educate my mind to be more truthful, knowledgable about Jesus and the Father and everything in the truth, spiritual and ready for an eternity with Jesus, the Father and believers and holy angels. Letting them guide me to make big adjustments in my life to accommodate eternal goals. It is all a lot when I list it. So much that comes from holding to Jesus’ teachings. Not to mention optional things like Sabbath keeping (optional for Gentiles). All this before even stepping foot in church assemblies. These are the private things of a discipleship life. The ways to be integrated with a church make keeping even more teachings necessary. My work and the lockdowns and my dropping mandated Trinitarianism keep me away from church at present. Probably best because some of my sins would warrant being shunned, even though the kind church folk would disagree at probably welcome me warmly. Keeping communion online helps with this isolation though, now that I find an online church holds it regularly. Getting baptised was an important step of obedience in my youth too, once I realised following Jesus was for me. All this took me years to learn even though I started early. Only now after many years does it start to dawn on me that this is real and not just what a book says. Most of my discipleship life I have been merely struggling to learn what the scriptures say and which oral traditions are true ones to follow - all finding out what to do. Only recently does it become clearer that this is true and real, not just words. At some point it became necessary to accept the miraculous side of Jesus’ teachings. It is part of discipleship to do the equivalent of walking on water, exercising miraculous faith in God. Then it starts to get very real. Words alone do not change the surroundings but words of faith inspired to faith by Jesus’ words, this does affect the natural world in which God has placed us. Letting God take it up a level too. Then incorporating such faith into daily work too affects outcomes and increases wealth according to God’s will in service to God according to the Master Jesus. This gets real too, increasing what God provides, being a faithful steward. Once you do such worldly wealth service enough, Jesus rewards it by giving spiritual responsibilities too. Faithful in worldly wealth leads to being faithful in spiritual things too. It is a career in itself to follow Jesus. Not a church worker career like a hired hand, no a voluntary whole life commitment that never stops.

Did Jesus live and was Jesus crucified?

Many believe that John the Baptist existed. Why do we even know John the Baptist existed? Because he testified about Jesus, calling Jesus the Lamb of God. That is the record of his main message. A historic message by a real person who lived two thousand years ago. Jesus is most known as the one proclaimed by John the Baptist who Herod beheaded, baptised by this John. So why did John the Baptist proclaim the Lamb of God had come? Because after John the Baptist died, this Jesus was crucified as Lamb sacrificed for the sins of the people who believe and for all people too. We are compelled to believe the testimony by the gospel writers because many find Jesus is alive from the dead and helps us as the gospels testified. These testimonies best match the salient facts and are born out in people’s lives ever since. I too have experienced the truth of it. Jesus is truly, in my experience, alive from the dead and the gospels are proven true by what Jesus does today and so it must also be true that Jesus was crucified and died and rose from the dead as these gospels record. The Holy Spirit seals it conclusively. God acknowledges it.

Man of the Aeon

Every age of civilisation arguably has a singular person behind it. The Renaissance had da Vinci. The Industrial Age had Brunel. The Information Age, unbeknown to most, had Engelbart. There is usually someone who more than anyone defines that Age. Well over the longer term is the time of human civilisation as a whole and beyond it. There is one singular person chief over all other human people who defines the ages, the Aeon, in fact they number all the years by this one man, Jesus Christ: The culmination and epitome of Abraham’s faith, the terror of humanity’s end on judgement day, and the hope of humanity in between. Heralded by John the Baptist. Resurrector of Lazarus. Fought over by Christian and Muslim knights. Praised by hymn writers. Documented by the New Testament authors as the only begotten Son. Acknowledged as beloved Son by God the Father from the highest throne of Heaven. Magnified in glory by the Pentecostal Spirit. Trusted for salvation by the convicted sinners. Jesus Christ. The Lord. The Lamb of God. The champion of truth. What manner of man is this, that even the winds and waves obey Him. We can do what He does if we believe in all He is. We can become free if we hold to His teachings. His resurrection will foreshadow ours.

Deigning to be god

For a being to be our god the being must deign to be our god. A god is there to answer prayers. A real being may have power to hear prayers and power to answer prayers, to save the one who calls out, yet there is still a matter of the being deigning to be one who actually does both. Just as a politician needs to be able and also willing to stand for office. Many beings have no power. Many entities are not even really beings. Lumps of natural matter are not suitable as gods. They cannot will, even if they could hear or act, like a robot can hear and act. A robot cannot be a god because it has no will. It merely stores capabilities given it by humans and releases those capabilities as humans have determined. A god needs more. Many beings have deigned to help humans. Many humans have looked to such beings as helpers, as powerful and willing helpers, as gods. Yet the religions single out special beings as gods and usually it is accepted that the ideal god to have as your god is the very top god because this god cannot be overruled and undermined by any higher being, if there is no higher being, if this god is Top God. Does the topmost being deign to be a god? Will this one topmost being deign to be my god? Well the ministry, miracles, death, and resurrection says a confident Yes! But we must put aside other gods and accept this one topmost True God as our god in the singular. No other gods besides this One Top True God. And we must accept Jesus Christ, His one and only begotten Son, made so by holy conception under power of the Holy Spirit, set apart from all others and sent into the world, as Lord over us, who is Lord over all, with His Father deigning to be His God. Our God, if we live for Him, a holy people.

Debugging the Church

I grew up reading the Bible before I was old enough to enter church life. I knew something about Trinitarian doctrine was strangely at odds with what the scriptures taught. I could not find courage to say so and even if I had conviction enough to confront somebody, who was there to confront? I knew from an early age that the teachings of Jesus Christ filled me with trust in Jesus as hope for my soul, knowing that Jesus truly sought to teach what my soul truly needs. I got baptised in my teens. Yet I had to teach and profess Trinitarian doctrines even though I knew scriptures had to be twisted unnaturally to support the Trinitarian view of Jesus Christ. My heart longed for a good teacher. Only God and Jesus could speak with authority to override the dubious teachings which troubled me. I knew the scriptures better after attending the regular sermons of a famous preacher when I was at university. I knew Jesus Christ taught things undermined by modern doctrines. I put my faith in Christ, believing God would make Himself known to me if I obeyed Christ. I knew sin is something Christ said must be eradicated in our lives now if we are to escape the wrathful judgement of God in the future. So I set my heart on following this path and seeking an audience with God. I continued in this hope for years. In my thirties it came to a crunch. Did I have the Holy Spirit? God had done miracles in my life, real ones, but had God given me the Holy Spirit? Was the faith within my heart genuine and blessed by God with the gift of the Holy Spirit? Was I hypocritical when I preached? I prayed and prayed. I sought God. I sought full obedience to Jesus Christ’s teachings such that my conscience could hold up strongly as I implored God to show Himself. He did. He said words that broke the spell of Trinitarian doctrine. God gave me the Holy Spirit to seal this and the living Jesus miraculously backed it up. It took years for those words to do their work, with encouragement from a rare individual who challenged me over my doctrine. I knew that the Father Himself is God, the One True God. Eventually I knew that this is also what Jesus taught. Yet I now needed to debug the Church to try to understand why so many taught the Trinitarian dogma and why over the centuries it had not gone away, despite what scriptures taught. I realised the scriptures had been mistranslated. That was one factor. Yet words God gave me when He was teaching me directly made me realise the Church had been following a sin and was not repenting. I had to get to the bottom of it. I had to investigate what God meant about this sin. Eventually I looked into the history of it. What had started Trinitarianism? What sin was committed that had twisted Church dogma and with such a long term result? I realised it must be a church fathers problem. Eventually I found what seemed to be the beginning of it. A philosopher named Origen had adapted a pagan philosophical concept called hypostasis and had applied it to divinity. The scriptures showed that this was sinful. God’s divinity must not be treated as if it were a substance like gold or silver. Yet Origen had taught that divinity was a hypostasis, a substance. This had been accepted by the Church in the East and the West. It stuck. The application of this philosophical sin then led to Trinitarianism. It all made sense. God could fix my lack of confidence to challenge it. God’s testimony to me had emboldened and empowered me to push ahead and find the bug. Now it is a matter of fixing it.

Pandora’s Box

In the 1500s the newly formed, fashionable communities of leisure of sorcerers, medics, alchemists, were publishing magic art books using the newly invented printing presses, and the Church tried to censor it by burning more extremely wicked books the sorcery leisurely communities were publishing. So to get their magic art books distributed without any Church hindrance, these sorcerers, alchemists and medics promoted an idea of natural magic, by deciding that magic might be alright with the Church as long as no spirits were invoked to discover it, relying ostensibly on doing practical experiments: empiricism. This worked. Natural magic was made popular and was eventually called natural science. But the Church sinned. It let secrets revealed by past ancient fallen angels get published under their noses and now the world is being destroyed by the outcome, the petrochemical industry, Big Pharma, narcotics, nuclear weaponry and many other things that destroy the planet and cause sin. The Church had failed to destroy the devoted things completely and had let Pandora’s box be opened. Now God has us all under constant surveillance with prospect of war.

The Narrow Gate

The Catholic catechism quotes Jesus “Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few." That is item 1036 of the catechism. It implies the Christian faith is the narrow gate. Now juxtapose this with catechism item 261: “The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of the Christian faith and of Christian life. God alone can make it known to us by revealing himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” Actually the teachings of Jesus are the narrow gate. Being persuaded of this, through God’s grace, is the faith. Jesus never said “God reveals Himself as Father and Son and Holy Spirit”. Jesus said the Father alone is the One True God. So the catechism is badly mistaken. Not necessarily in other matters, but mistaken about God revealing the Trinity. God reveals that He is the Father who alone says “I am God”. But don’t only point a foreboding finger at Catholics. It is exactly the same with Protestants in the Thirty-Nine Articles, Westminster Confession, Alpha Courses, etcetera, etcetera. So vital to stick to Jesus’ teachings as the narrow gateway to life and Heavenly immortality.

When the Man comes around

We should realise that the Second Coming might be like the Spanish Inquisition on a global scale and even harsher, banning anything that causes sin, and making sin much more categorical, with capital punishment like never known before. Weeping and gnashing of teeth, as He put it. Let him who has no sin cast the first stone. Well sorry guys, Him who has no sin is coming to judge and rule, quite soon now.

Is there only life on Earth?

Is there life on earth and not anywhere else? Consider that all the life of the universe might be driven by some kind of force, a single force, call it a life-force if you will. One force to produce all of the life. I suppose this is a-priori, self-defining. The fact life exists at all must be driven by something. That something may have existed from the beginning. Likely it did exist resulting from the same origin as other forces. It is a counter-force to the force behind entropy, if you want to call each of these a force. So something drove the prerequisites of life and this same thing may have driven the beginning of life and be driving the formation of human life and human civilised development and the most perfect example of such human development and where it all leads. If so, then it is reasonable that this kind of force would focus towards one final species and one final individual, if it is the reverse force of entropy and the expansion of chaotic aspects universe.

Is Life force a force of Nature?

The natural sorcerers tell us the universe spread out from a Big Bang many billions of years ago. Aeons ago. The aeons of time have all spread disorder further and further and yet something has counteracted increasing disorder through all the aeons. Life has formed. Did a force of Nature do this? Did the Creator of the universe create a force which led the universe into producing Life? Not just Life. The perfecting of that Life. Until humans were formed and a particular human, the Son of Man. Becoming a flesh human being named Jesus Christ the Lord, perfected through suffering as a mortal. Rising from the dead after dying on a cross. Bringing together God and Mankind in that cross. Then rising to immortal life wrapped in the Creator’s power. Producing disciples transforned to share this perfection. To be risen together with this Son of Man, all perfected. The universe has moved towards this despite the laws of entropy of reducing order. Order amidst growing chaos. Perfected towards eternity. God did this. Did God create a force, a Life force, to move towards it or is God ever doing all this personally?

Beware false teachers

Trinitarians (falsely) say that all Christians are Trinitarian and that by definition being a Christian means being Trinitarian. Then they (separately) say that only Christians go to heaven and by inference anyone not Christian goes to hell. So they say, albeit by inference, that non Trinitarians go to hell. They even publish these things officially on official church websites and in official confirmation courses, catechism courses, ‘alpha courses’.

Credit and credibility towards the teachings of Jesus Christ

Giving credit, credence, to Jesus’ veracity, Jesus’ name, Jesus’ teachings, means no condemnation like those have who refuse Jesus this credibility, and honour. Keeping the teachings of Jesus is the pathway to being transformed into the kind of behaviour needed to escape the final punishment which so many will suffer. It is worth the cost but each of us must count the cost individually then try to shoulder it with each other and remember each other when faced with it.

Christian?

Many Christians seem to think it matters little that Jesus said the Father alone is the One True (Most High) God. If they give such little credit to the word of Jesus, are they worthy to be called Christian?

In the spirit of antichrist the work of God is sabotaged

God went to all the loving trouble of begetting a fully human son to be mediator between God and us, then humans, by a spirit of antichrist, wreck it by claiming Jesus is God or is a god who is not fully human.

Topmost God over all gods

Look at the word God and the word god and what the words are used to translate. In english we distinguish God and god. We might call someone ‘the mighty George’ but when we say ‘Almighty’ it is going a step further to add a connotation of divinity or as a proper noun to mean the One True Most High God. Most languages have a way of making their similar distinction. In Sumerian it was not always clear. Sumerian used a star symbol to denote the most high God but also to denote a noble person or being.  The context determined which was meant. So too Semitic languages such as Akkadian which still used the star symbol but translated into other languages it was translated EL or IL. The Hebrew El came from Akkadian. It all meant the same. As a proper noun it meant most high God. It could also denote a noble being or person. As with -el suffixes in names like Daniel, Gabriel. When it gets to English you get the similar Al, as in Almighty for the most high God but also nobility such as Al in Alfred or nobles called Aldermen. With Germanic influences on English we also use the word ‘god’ and capitalise it as proper noun God, meaning a god who is most high, associated with Abrahamic God. In scriptures there is dissimilar use of Theos. Greeks were polytheistic so it is not so clear, except from context, what that means. It can mean gods or God. It is common in all these languages plus Chinese and Turkic to have a meaning of God as a proper noun denoting most high God (Tengri in Turkic languages and Mongolian). Now my god is my immediate god, like my boss is my immediate boss. The God is the topmost God, like the boss is the topmost boss. And topmost God is the Father. Topmost Lord, under the headship of the Father, is Jesus, the Lord, the Christ, the Son of God, only begotten of God.

Head of the church

In the old testament scriptures the Psalm reads “The LORD said to my Lord...” King David was told his son would be the son of God who would build the temple. Jesus is the Lord of David and David is the father of the one who builds the temple. So Jesus is the Head of the temple. And Jesus’ temple is the body of those who truly follow Him. This was all know prophetically to King David when he wrote those words and as told by God about his son. So it is all predetermined. Jesus simply clarified that it is all predetermined even before Abraham was born and before creation was created. And it all existed in those ancient times because David called Jesus “my Lord” centuries before Jesus came in the flesh, so it was already a reality back then. He said it past tense and present tense. Centuries BC.

Wooly thinking

Trinitarianism all comes down to people confusing Lord and God. Jesus is Lord. The Father is God. Scriptures make that clear over and over. No excuse. Wooly thinking. Or deliberate obfuscation, maybe, with some.

Daniel and the lion’s den

They put the prophet Daniel in a lions’ den. What happened to them once Daniel got out safely?

Discerning a spirit

If a spirit speaks to you and you know it is holy because it tells you of the lordship of Jesus Christ over you, then you can believe that spirit because it has veracity and true authority over you from the Most High God who never lies.

Beware the straw man

Trinitarianism is a ‘straw man’ against the gospel. It distorts the gospel, distracting from the truth that God, the one true God, most high, sent Jesus Christ. In a way it is also a red herring to proselytise people towards Trinitarianism because it is so blatantly unbiblical (except it is made to seem slightly biblical distortions of a tiny selection of verses) that it takes the attention away from the true message that Jesus is Most High God’s only begotten son who is the Christ sent by this Most High God. Islam too distracts from this message. So that means the vast majority of the world’s preachers are preaching a red herring, a pungent distraction. We must try to establish the real message of truth while it still survives. An uphill struggle but God and the Christ both work with us to get this actual message from the one true God spread far and wide. The real proof of the truth (that Jesus is Most High God’s only begotten son who is the Christ sent by this Most High God) is that this truth opens our inner perceptions to recognise the glory of the Most High One True God that pervades Jesus Christ who He sent.

Unitarian or Atheist

I get the feeling that many unitarians might actually be atheists or deists. If you think it is only theoretical that in theory there is one God, and are not sure that God exists or that God is a person or that God is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him, you might actually not be unitarian but actually be a deist or atheist. Then of course it will be impossible to believe the Holy Spirit exists and is a person. The Holy Spirit will be to you a term, a concept, unknown. Jesus will be merely a person of history who might not even have existed. But as a child we are most of us initially like this, until we ‘find God’.

Build using right angles

“What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?”

Jesus brought about a new focus. On truth. Once we know truth, which we ultimately know through Jesus, the way of Jesus uses that truth as a measure against our lives, requiring us to live according to that truth. It is all received by the gracious giving of Jesus and those who rightly serve Jesus. Along with the command to love each other, speaking truth to each other, there is a command throughout Jesus’ teachings to live in accordance with truth. It all leads to a neatly structured and sustainable life. A building built at a true vertical at a right angle to the ground has a better structure for lasting long. Walls at true right angles to each other fit together for a better harmony with adjacent rooms and buildings. So too, Jesus’ commands keep our lives in order, sustainably. They ready us for eternal living and make us worthy of it if we keep and conform to Jesus’ teachings in our lives. The foolish lives we lived in opposition to this way or in ignorance of it, Jesus paid the penalty we owed for this by that awful crucifixion. Now we find God to be fully in support of this way of Jesus because God the Father raised His much loved son from the dead. So Jesus lives as architect to make sure we build our lives correctly in conformity to this wise way of living. The Holy Spirit brings to bear on our lives this governing work of the Lord Jesus Christ. God blesses those who live this way and encourage others to do so.

The divine testimony

God never raised a Trinitarian from the dead to live forever as proof that what they said is true. God raised Jesus from the dead to live forever to prove that what Jesus taught is true. Jesus taught that the Father alone is the One True Most High God.

Missing the point

Most people miss the point about modern chemistry being distinct from traditional alchemy and sorcery. (Indeed Science seems to use deflection to cause people to miss the point. Misdirection.) The belief about the spirit in the chemicals is not the main way that modern science differs from traditional sorcery. The point is the knowledge of the humans studying the reacting chemicals. In alchemy, spirits would be invoked both to give insight into the chemistry and to aid that chemistry. The expert alchemist would seek better knowledge of the reactions than their competitors and better secret ability to aid the chemistry. This would be for gaining the upper hand over their competitor alchemists plus wealth, such as by finding a way to convert base metals into gold. In the natural sorcery the spirits were initially still considered to be there but instead of invoking them or invoking angels to help the chemistry and give knowledge of its secrets, the natural sorcery techniques (arts) relied on experimentation. Eventually this took precedence over using spirits. But the aim of finding secrets of the chemistry and gaining the upper hand over competitors and even of converting base metals into gold, remained. Much of the same purpose remains in natural sorcery, today called modern science. In the Book of Enoch there is lamentation about there being ‘an angel in the fire’ when metallurgy alchemy is used. There are many mentions of spirits, (elemental spirits, as the New Testament puts it), in forces and bodies of Nature. Yet the main thrust is to warn of the destructiveness that can happen when humans learn the secrets of Nature, taught them by angels against God’s will. The know-how can disrupt the social fabric of human society, requiring wrathful intervention by God as humans cry in anguish at the evils that result. Like mythology’s Pandoras Box. Yet scientists four hundred years ago started modern science as a way to open to themselves knowledge of the very same things for which the Book of Enoch gave its warnings: cosmetics, unnatural breeding, metallurgy, plant extracts for medicine, and so forth. These and other subjects the first modern scientists focussed on as so-called natural magic. Natural sorcery, so-to-speak.

How salty is the salt?

There was a time when the Church held back sorcery from excess. Now we call the sorcery Science, has the Church lost its saltiness? Is that because they neglected the Book of Enoch’s warnings on natural sorcery?

Holy Spirit

When I write and send a post on my blog or on social media, it is coming from a person (a computer is not generating it, the writer is a person, myself), yet it is not itself a person. This comment will not leap off the computer and work out a way to help you understand it and believe it. It will not prove to you that it is more than a comment and that it is a person in its own right. However, the spirit coming from God which we call Holy Spirit has the attributes of a person, able to empower you to believe it, and able to prove to you that it is real and has wisdom and has love for you. It is a comforter in doing this. He speaks to people directly. He brings things from God and from Christ but does so with personal wisdom and personality. Sometimes He only manifests as an influence, like my comment here, bringing communication like that writing on the wall translated by Daniel or those tongues of fire descending at Pentecost or the force that held down King Saul to stop him killing David. Other times He comes in a more personal one-to-one way, meeting people directly with speech to them with a personal discernible, characteristic voice. That is why Jesus called Him the Comforter like Himself. That is why I too can testify of what I too have met and encountered.

Natural Sorcery

We could call modern science ‘natural sorcery’. Modern Science, starting four hundred years ago, tries to distinguish natural magic from ceremonial magic by focusing its magic on finding the secrets of nature solely by experimentation with no invocation of spirits. It tries to reinforce this constraint by denial that spirits even exist, which many take to the extreme by denying God exists and by bitterly opposing religious faith (scientific materialism). Before the advent of the establishment art of modern science, science was just one branch of the magic arts practiced by alchemists and sorcerers. By distinguishing natural magic as experimental, not invoking spirits, the hope was that the Church would allow publications of its practitioners to remain in circulation. Effectively this art then changed its name to natural science. Really it is still a branch of sorcery and magic but sorcery was distinguished from it by a characterisation that sorcerers continued to invoke spirits. This distinction was artificial because the same people who were practicing this modern science, natural magic, were also still practicing the ceremonial magic. There was a veil of obfuscation drawn over this by the syncretisation of these magic arts with Christianity, such as in the formation of Christian Esotericism. Behind this veil the sorcery continued, surviving witch trials and the Inquisition. So there was never a genuine distinction between science and sorcery, except that science had a focus on natural sorcery and on experimentation, but often in combination with more traditional spiritual, ‘ceremonial’ sorcery.  The aims of both practices were the same, practiced by the same people, often in the guise of Christianity (both Catholic and Protestant): the aim of small elite groups finding the ancient secrets of nature which, it was supposed, would unlock power and wealth. This continues, albeit established with propaganda which normalises it and legitimises it, and yet really the distinction means that modern science could actually be termed natural sorcery. Ultimately it is probably trying to recreate the world as it was before the Flood when humans were led astray by teachings from fallen angels, as the Book of Enoch testifies. Such a pursuit of hidden knowledge is likely to have the same outcome, destruction of the planet by humans, followed by destruction of humans by the wrath of God. We have been warned.

Trinitarians on notice

We should be putting Trinitarians on notice (gently, respectfully - God knows I’ve almost been one myself in the past), because they have based a whole dogma, mandating it too, on a sinful premise called hypostasis, in which divinity has been likened, in their foundational philosophy (led by Origen and other neoplatonist philosophers), to a substance, just like gold and silver are substances. It is a kind of natural magic, breaking down everything into constituent substances (hypostases). Applying that way of thinking to God and to God’s divinity is sinful and worldly. Then they have used that sinful way of thinking to try to understand the divinity of Jesus Christ. This is wrong. The writers of scripture did not understand things that way. Paul admitted that he once regarded Jesus in such a wordly way but emphasised that he did so no longer. God tolerated such ignorance in the past but now commands repentance.

Understanding Jesus

The love of the Father for Jesus the human son, going back to aeons ago, is the key to understanding Jesus Christ. God loved Jesus because God foresaw the conception of Jesus that God would bring about by the Holy Spirit - Jesus the uniquely begotten. That love manifested in many ways, including all aspects of the creating that God did. That love manifested especially as the Spirit of Christ. This is where we should begin with our understanding of Jesus and of the Father in whose likeness Jesus was uniquely begotten.

As in the days of Noah

Whereas in ancient times it was fallen angel teachings which destroyed the World, today it seems to be, since the sixteenth century, a combination of leisure time for secret discussion groups, plus the printing press for distributing output from these groups. Fallen angel teachings have become again the focus of these groups, including ours, but in some groups that focus has been detrimental to society, with intentions of rediscovering what was known to ancient people taught by fallen angels, secrets of nature once called natural magic, now called natural sciences. The Book of Enoch strongly warns about how this can destroy the planet, now as then, and incur the destructive wrath of God, now as then. “As in the days of Noah....”

Origins of Modern Science

It was the stated purpose of Rosicrucian alchemists, who were leading founders of modern science, to rediscover the natural magic arts originally known in the ancient times. There were, in the sixteenth century, men of leisure, who filled their time with membership of secret discussion groups which led to freemasonry and what became modern science bodies such as the Royal Society. Monastic groups were also forming and becoming what today are called universities, translating ancient works of philosophy and magic. Subjects the groups of leisurely men discussed often revolved around alchemy and other magic arts. Their writings were finding their way into print now that the printing press had been invented. There were many writings and teachings of these men which were classed as sorcery and heresy by the Church and were banned and burned. The Rosicrucians started to publish the idea that one of these groups, called the Invisible College, could find the original magic art knowledge and excel beyond the others as the elite magicians. The belief was developing that natural magic arts were innocent if discovered using experimentation without invoking spirits. Such magic would therefore be allowed, it was hoped, by the Church. (Had the Church known about the Book of Enoch it might have been more alert to the dangers of such arts, given their fallen angel origins.) From the writings of Giambattista della Porta’s called Magia Naturalis, in sixteenth century Italy, we find that what became the modern sciences we know today started with these ‘natural magic arts’ such as geology, optics, medicines, poisons, cooking, metallurgy, magnetism, cosmetics, perfumes, gunpowder, and invisible writing. Of these there are several we find in the Book of Enoch which were taught by the fallen angels: medicines, poisons, metallurgy, cosmetics, interbreeding of animals, plus the archaeology of the period of Enoch shows that coloured glasses and gemstones were also introduced at that time. All the things taught by fallen angels are classed in the early days of modern science as ‘natural magic’. Even in much earlier times c300 AD the Greco-Egyptian leading alchemist Zosimos of Panopolis wrote: “The ancient and divine writings say that the angels became enamoured of women; and, descending, taught them all the works of nature. From them, therefore, is the first tradition, chema, concerning these arts; for they called this book chema and hence the science of chemistry takes its name.”

The Spirit of Christ

The Spirit of Christ was inspiring ancient prophets many centuries before Jesus was born. So by the time Jesus was preaching, there was much written down which was written by His influence and people only need to believe that He is this same person and hold to His teachings.

Modern Science

Cunningly, Modern Science feigns abhorrence of the invocation of spirits. The first modern scientists historically did so by distinguishing ‘natural’ magic from ‘ceremonial’ magic, and giving the impression of only practicing the former, not the latter. And yet the natural magic is all about what fallen angels taught. The stated purpose of these Enlightenment scientists and alchemists (especially in Rosicrucians’ Invisible College and to some extent in the Royal Society too) was to rediscover the fallen angel knowledge, or as God put it in the Book of Enoch, the worthless things of heaven, not its higher secrets.

Modern Science and the Fallen Angels

Here are the areas of magic which the Italian scientist Giambattista della Porta at the dawn of Modern Science identified as ‘Natural Magic’. Sorcerers leading up to this time in Italy, especially one named Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, as printing presses were able to disseminate knowledge far and wide (even knowledge condemned by the Church), had sought to distinguish two kinds of magic arts, natural, involving learning by experimentation on natural objects, and ceremonial, involving invocation of spirits. Notice how the list of natural magic arts includes areas of knowledge which the Book of Enoch says were introduced by angels to humans sinfully at the dawn of civilisation. This became the basis of Modern Science.

Sorceries of Rome

Revelation tells us it was the sorceries of Rome (Babylon the Great) which deceived all the nations. One great sorcerer of Rome is notably influential for having established natural magic as a kind of sorcery we today would call Science. Giovanni Pico della Mirandela. His writings in the 1400s possibly paved the way for Rosicrucian alchemist magicians to start a scientific cultural movement of experimentation in the 1600s which led to Modern Science and the founding of the Royal Society. Strictly speaking there grew up an understanding based on Giovanni’s writings that natural magic was distinct from ceremonial magic more commonly called sorcery. Yet no clear criteria or law forbids scientists from including ceremonial magic in their work. The two kinds of magic were normally combined by practicing alchemists, scientists and sorcerers of the times, as they had been for centuries or even for thousands of years. If you call Christian faith a ‘superstition’ you effectively suppress the main influence which keeps scientists from reverting to out and out ceremonial sorcery and even to black magic. If you look at the writings (Magia Naturalis) of another Italian philosopher-sorcerer, later than Giovanni, named Giambattista della Porta, in the 1500s, you find they understood natural magic to include exactly those topics which we find the Book of Enoch warns us were introduced by the fallen angels.

Believing in the name of Jesus

Which other teacher did God ever raise from the dead? God raised Jesus, giving Jesus that full endorsement. So I believe the reputation this gives to Jesus, the supreme fame of the name He has. So many people know that reputation of Jesus, even those who aren’t religious. It has the greatest reputation, held in highest esteem, even among the ungodly. So many people trust it. There is obvious virtue in Jesus’ teachings. Plus the miracles God does in my life since I started believing Jesus, and similar things experienced by others too. And of course there are the miracles God did through Jesus. If someone contradicts Jesus’ teachings, it is always Jesus I believe.

The reckoning

Scientism is the over-reliance on Science, technology and medicine to solve every human problem. Hospitals were relied on to solve the problem of the pandemic. Not prayer or practical kindness. Hospitalisations. Yet so many caught the virus, not outside, nor at home, but in hospital, going to hospital for something other than the virus. It makes zero sense to treat infectious diseases in the same buildings as injuries, putting highly infectious patients in close proximity to people with low immunity and patients recovering from surgery. It is probably just tradition: Arrogant traditions that say “we always did it this way”. There were huge temporary hospitals for virus infected people set up and left empty while infected patients were either kept in hospital with uninfected patients nearby or sent to live with equally vulnerable elderly people in nursing homes. This arrogance is about showing off how modern science can protect us and we don’t need God but in arrogantly sidelining God the politicians are sidelining common sense and the sacredness of life. There MUST be a reckoning. There will be. It will be in the hands of the God and His Christ you have sidelined.

The Elephant in the Room

The world has got a scientism problem. Like a drug problem but on a global scale. It swallows up vast quantities of public funds. It has only one cure: Christ.

The Woes of being rich

Sadly the super-rich cannot take their wealth when they go to the hereafter. Their faith isn’t strong enough for them to “sell all and give to the poor”, like Jesus Christ teaches, “providing purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not spoil or fade”. The rich tend to be too poor in faith to extend their fortune beyond this short life. In the hereafter the poor will watch the formerly rich people from afar as these poor get their comfort. Even if they proclaim the intent to give all their own wealth away, you still see them wealthy years later. It isn’t so easy. Maybe billionaires should give it a go and sell all and see if God helps them give the proceeds to the poor to make themselves richer in the next life. With God nothing is impossible. Scientific materialism is no help for faith in God, though. Science cannot really help the soul. The many rich getting rich today from Science, technology and medicine are already at a great disadvantage compared to those who embrace religion. They might be banking on this life being all there is, but the truth will one day bite them, and bite them hard.

The Invisible College

The Invisible College was a seventeenth century group of English and Irish alchemist magicians - sorcerers - who founded what became the Royal Society and thus they effectively founded Modern Science, all based on the magic arts of the Rosicrucians.

The dark origins of Modern Science

So there’s these sorcerers, magic art followers, alchemists, in the times of the witch trials, in Scotland, Ireland and England in the early 1600s, and they think of a new magic art. Essentially it would be magic art X. It must, they decided, exist, in theory at least. An invisible magic art just for their time of increased knowledge and learning of the ‘Enlightenment’, known only, initially anyway, to a few. Esoteric. Those few would be members of an invisible society. Freemasons naturally. They would be sorcerers, alchemists, who would form a new invisible society so the new magic art could appear among them. When they eventually organised themselves into starting that society, it started as the invisible college and later became in 1660 the Royal Society, and Modern Science was born. Who were they? They were members of a masonic magic art circle who used a rose upon a cross as their symbol. The Rose Cross. So they were called Rosicrucians. I think the group may still exist today. Their invisible college does anyway, the Royal Society. They legitimised it, hiding its sorcery origins, by making large donations to Christian causes and promising it would provide the knowledge that would convince people to believe in God: A promise never kept.

It is all very reminiscent of the account from Acts of the Apostles (ch 13):

“When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they came upon a certain magician, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus. He was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of intelligence, who summoned Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God. But Elymas the magician (for that is the meaning of his name) opposed them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith. But Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand. Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had occurred, for he was astonished at the teaching of the Lord.”

Science is a magic art

Modern Science (based on experimentation) was founded in the mid seventeenth century by an offshoot of a magic arts, alchemist group which used a rose in the middle of a cross as its symbol.

The living God

There are many gods who people think are at the very top. Some are ideas. Not living. Others are living but not topmost. Only one God is both living and topmost.

We confound the Science

Confounding Science’s material knowledge and spiritual ignorance, believers remember Christ and the cross with bread and wine.

Relationship with God

Our relationship with God is about abiding in the covenant made by God. Forsaking the covenant breaches the fellowship but God seeks to heal the breach. Only when that breach is persisted despite remonstrations and chastisements from God does the relationship of the covenant fully break down. At the moment, there are breaches as the covenant people forsake their love of God somewhat but God is still holding out a hand of peace and chastising with mass surveillance and looming prospects of major war and loss of peace. God still regards the covenant people as His own. But love for God among these people is paramount for there to be prospects of greater peace and healing of the relationship. (The covenant is Christ’s blood and the keeping of Christ’s teachings by those who believe in Jesus Christ.)

“I am God” says the Father

“I am God”, says the Father. Jesus shows Himself to be the Son of the Father. The Father gives Jesus this right, showing Jesus to be His only begotten Son. The Holy Spirit calls Jesus, (interpreted into English), the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Trinity doctrines are therefore falling short. The Father alone is the One True God, and Trinity doctrine obscures this truth. Trinitarian philosophers, so-called ‘church fathers’, and their followers also fall short by the sinful tendency to think of divinity as a substance, like gold or silver. They call it divine hypostasis. Yet, God is not to be thought of that way and is commanding the repentance of those who have sinned and has the whole people who sin under the careful watch of mass surveillance. Love God with all your heart and all your soul and all your strength and all your mind, and back this up with action by making publicly known in full sight God’s own words and His truth given through His Son. We have a voice today. Love God with all of it.

The children of the gods

According to scriptures Mankind was created by the angels (Elohim) who made the Earth and was created in their image. For most of us our inner nature is dishonest and woefully hateful and this characterises us initially as children of the same kind of person, an angel we call Satan. When we receive the gospel of Christ crucified for us into our hearts, heaven breaks the mould that moulded our dishonesty and truth remoulds us in the image of Christ Jesus who Himself is not merely characterised by angels but is truly, uniquely begotten of God the God over all angels and all creation, the One True God, the Father.

Fools follow the Science

19th Century Science: “We are going to focus purely on the material universe and pretend nothing spiritual exists.”

Two centuries later: “Science does not say God exists, so clearly God doesn’t exist.”

Fools: “We follow the Science.”

Christ and Time-travel?

Christ and time-travel? Many believe the Christ did not exist before His holy divine conception. The scriptures do not unambiguously state the nature of His ‘pre-existence’, if they even state at all that He pre-existed. Yet Christ’s spirit, we are told, was at work, interacting with prophets hundreds, even thousands of years before the time of His coming in the flesh. Is it by a spiritual kind of time-travel? Or is it something even more mysterious in the power of spirit and in His relationship to God, His Father? Did Christ’s own spirit transcend or traverse time or did it simply exist before Christ took flesh? He is able to reach out to people by spirit across space, as the Book of Acts tells us regarding His interactions with Paul. Does this include time too? Unitarians and Trinitarians will come to this from different angles but the mystery remains. He Himself famously said “Before Abraham was born, I am.”

1 Peter chapter 1

“… Concerning this salvation, the prophets who foretold the grace to come to you searched and investigated carefully, trying to determine the time and setting to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, when they foretold the things now announced by those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.…”

Making sense of confusion

Many who claim Jesus is God actually mean He is divine. Divine as Son of God, begotten of God, like a prince son of a king is royal. The prince son is royal but is not the king while the father is king. Many who deny Jesus is God are not denying His divinity as the uniquely begotten Son of God but are denying that Jesus is the Most High God, who is called God as a proper noun. Only the Father is that. Anything else tends to be misunderstanding, which is no wonder given the two conflicting meanings of the word ‘God’, not just in English but in Greek too. That is why the scriptures make it clear, e.g. with Rev 22:9.

God, Son of God, Holy Spirit

God, Son of God, Holy Spirit. All three in unity yet not quite how the classical, traditional theologians tell it. Personal experience tells me the Father is a unity being in His own right, needing no other. Jesus is His begotten son, just as much distinct as any son is distinct from a father. In Jesus’s case that Father just happens to be God, the Most High Being over all other beings, creator of all. Yet Jesus is so much like His Father. The Father is right there in the appearance and personality of Jesus. We might bear the likeness of angels, like whom we were created as a species. Jesus, human, yet bears the very hallmark of God the Almighty Father. Jesus alive from the dead is the very manifestation of God the Father’s power and love and wisdom and glory. Gloriously mirroring God. Loving and receiving us who believe. Showing us how we need to be, to escape sin, having died to pay sin’s price for us. The Holy Spirit reveals the glory of the name of Jesus whose feet God has placed over all things in love. We fall short of that. Yet God commands our wholehearted love. And protection is part of His love for us, if we fear Him for who He is, Yahweh from of old. All this I know by revelation. Not merely study of scriptures. God loves you and wants to save you. He has provided His Son for you. If you believe, He will give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you, such as now and then, when you are together. The miracles can show what words alone cannot. The Father is awesomely unfathomably great over time and space, matter and energy, in ways we cannot fully understand. He empowers Jesus.

Ascending into Heaven

Some find a stumbling block to believing the Book of Enoch in the saying of Jesus translated “Nobody has ascended into heaven except he who has come from heaven.” Jesus knew that Elijah had ascended into heaven. Enoch too. He was not denying this. He even used the tradition of Elijah being still alive in heaven several times, once when explaining that the coming of John the Baptist as a messenger to prepare the Messiah’s way is that foretold as the coming of Elijah (metaphorical prophecy). And Jesus used the cup of Passover traditionally left undrunk to be drunk by a returned Elijah, used by Jesus in His cup of the new covenant in His own blood. The memorial of His own eternal life living in heaven and someday return would replace the similar memorial of Elijah being alive in heaven. So Jesus accepted the ascending of Elijah. What I believe Jesus meant is that there had been ascensions into heaven but only of those who had come with the full authority of heaven as prophets, as templates of heavenly example. Ascension is such a major commendation from heaven. Enoch and Elijah were truly from above in their lives and ministries, primary templates for their times, so their ascension was in keeping with this principle Jesus was pointing out that only such people ever ascended into heaven. This meant that by ascending, He too would show that His life and ministry as messenger from heaven was indeed truly from heaven, heaven-sent. So Jesus’ words are simply misunderstood.
