Deigning to be god

For a being to be our god the being must deign to be our god. A god is there to answer prayers. A real being may have power to hear prayers and power to answer prayers, to save the one who calls out, yet there is still a matter of the being deigning to be one who actually does both. Just as a politician needs to be able and also willing to stand for office. Many beings have no power. Many entities are not even really beings. Lumps of natural matter are not suitable as gods. They cannot will, even if they could hear or act, like a robot can hear and act. A robot cannot be a god because it has no will. It merely stores capabilities given it by humans and releases those capabilities as humans have determined. A god needs more. Many beings have deigned to help humans. Many humans have looked to such beings as helpers, as powerful and willing helpers, as gods. Yet the religions single out special beings as gods and usually it is accepted that the ideal god to have as your god is the very top god because this god cannot be overruled and undermined by any higher being, if there is no higher being, if this god is Top God. Does the topmost being deign to be a god? Will this one topmost being deign to be my god? Well the ministry, miracles, death, and resurrection says a confident Yes! But we must put aside other gods and accept this one topmost True God as our god in the singular. No other gods besides this One Top True God. And we must accept Jesus Christ, His one and only begotten Son, made so by holy conception under power of the Holy Spirit, set apart from all others and sent into the world, as Lord over us, who is Lord over all, with His Father deigning to be His God. Our God, if we live for Him, a holy people.
