Kiev, Ukraine is burning churches this Easter 2023. Burning church buildings do not eliminate a church. A church is its adherent people. Driving them underground is not going to eliminate these people. Underground churches functioned well in Ukraine for a long time in the eighties. It is a turnaround, though. The registered orthodox churches stood by while underground church leaders were tortured in the mid and late eighties. God heard prayers and ended all that horror and healed it under Putin so it did not recur. Now tables are turned I hope the non-conformist believers will magnanimously not stand by and watch but stand shoulder to shoulder with these Orthodox brothers and sisters in the name of the man who is alive from the dead. Resurrection will come, by God’s grace.
