United With Christ and Separate From the World

Fully united with Christ we are not separated from other followers of Christ spiritually but to be fully united with Him does involve separation from the world and the world may include close friends and maybe even family and some we thought were Christians. That is the pain of separation that comes with knowing Christ but knowing Christ more than makes up for it and God comforts us.

In Short

In short: Our lives are messed up; and Lord Jesus is the High Priest; and we have to be His disciples to be set free.

Religion and the Cross of Christ

Religion is primarily about putting up with something that runs counter to pleasure and self-interest such as by fasting or endurance of the restrictions of a feast by not working and by setting aside personal common day practices and activities. When a person identifies with Christ Jesus they endure a share in the suffering He endured when He was crucified. This supercedes all other religious feasts and fasts because it is the day after day suffering that satisfies the demands religious duty imposes to set aside self-interest for the sake of higher duty. We can allow the suffering endured by the Righteous Christ to affect us too as we have become bound spiritually to Christ so what affected Him affects us too. This takes the place of any feasts and fasts in the religious requirement of self denial.

A Real Child of God

There are over-simplifications given to describe a child of God. Three aspects are to be called and chosen and faithful in following Jesus Christ. Called to stop sinning and learn to do right is first and that means belief in what Chist says: "Stop sinning". Those believing it find they are given the Holy Spirit and miracles by God Himself. The calling is to many but the grace of receiving the calling is given to far fewer people. Having received the calling to be a saint with Holy Spirit leadership it is vital to continue to the end of life, holding fast to the calling and teachings of Christ and truth of the Spirit and if we do we know we are really what God describes as children of His. Of course other aspects of real faith are rewarded or recognised by God by His giving miracles and the Holy Spirit: Simply believing that He is the Creator is a starting point of faith. Believing that Christ died for you is another instance of faith that God rewards. Still the faithfulness is required to continue such a progress into faith through all of life. That is being called and chosen and faithful. And letting it lead how you live. The example we are given is Abraham and in Galatians Paul taught that such as these who live by faith are children of Abraham. I also find a good description of living by faith is John Bunyan's "A Pilgrim's Progress" allegory and the hymn of his "Who would true valour see" or "To be a pilgrim". This is an individual Christian but the body of local believers which is a church or assembly (or some other term depending on culture) is something again when the individuals believe themselves to be joined spiritually in Christ. Yet it does not substitute the need for the individuals to walk the eternal life of faith as children of Abraham and become transformed and sanctified as children of God. When travelling with a coach party in foreign countries each individual still needs their own passport. Finding you were mistakenly relying on the group for your passport is a nightmare scenario, like the man in the parable who finds himself at a banquet in the wrong clothes.

The Faith of the Apostle Paul

The Apostle Paul left us a legacy of Christian Churches and scriptural letters and from the letter to the Galatian Church we find evidence of his belief that the God who is Father of Jesus Christ gives the presence of the Holy Spirit that comes from Him to people when they believe the testimony of the message from Jesus Christ and the Apostles of Jesus Christ. Today the same seems true, that God still rewards faith by giving the presence of the Holy Spirit. Manifestations of this Holy Spirit are recognisable by their inherent holiness and purity and by acknowledgment of the truth that Jesus is the Christ and that God the Father calls Jesus His own beloved Son. The Spirit who is aligned with such truth is clearly sent by God. This Spirit comes to lead the believer in the way of knowing the truth that comes from God the Father. What faith is rewarded this way? The certainty within that Jesus wants each one to turn from lies and other such unethical behaviour and only behave ethically in a way that will not be judged by the future Lake of Fire which will burn up forever those who refuse to stop such unethical practices that God the Father hates and refuse to learn to please God by learning to do what God regards as right. And the death Jesus died was to free people from they unethical ways to be free to please God. They resurrected Jesus lives forever to keep people living in this way of pleasing God. So the giving of the Holy Spirit is the way God confirms people in this faith. Here is an extract from a modern translation of Paul's letter to Galatians (chapter 5) showing this faith "Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Have you experienced so much in vain—if it really was in vain? So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham."
So who is this man, Abraham? A mysterious figure from the very distant past, in very ancient times he was famous but known mainly for being the biological ancestor to the modern Jews. He might be the person who invented a seed drill found by archaeology in ancient Babylon and now known for his departure from ancient long popular religious concepts such as sun worship who believed there must be a creator spirit we nowadays call God. Back in ancient times there was so much false religion based around idol worship and much wickedness associated with such lack of faith in a single true creator God yet Abraham sought out a true creator God and was chosen to find this God and learn to love Him and worship Him in truth.

Real Grace and Faith

The Apostle Paul wrote to a church: "Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith". This seems to imply a corporate collaborative element as we jointly test ourselves, you testing me and I testing you, 'to see if [we] are in the faith'. "For none of us lives to himself alone" - or to quote the secular saying "no man is an island". We each have individual conscience such that one might eat meat and another believe only in eating a vegetarian or vegan diet. So we must "to yourself be true". But we should each seek to be "able to discern a brother". It is not easy. This kind of discussion helps. Yes we must discern a brother so then we can pray for the brother who sins but if we seldom meet folk we are sure are true brothers we might get little practice. I only think a handful of people I have met are such that I have anything near certainty that they are in the faith and usually it is by signs I believe to be from God. In his first letter to believers in Thessalonika Paul indicated how he discerned them as believers "For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction." If we find God works miracles when we are someone's company it hints that they are loved by God and maybe Christ is speaking to us through eachother. A wonderful Jeremiah passage in chapter 31 verses 31 to 34 to me describes how grace of Christ works among real believers loved by God. It is a work in the heart. The grace of workings of Christ through us in miracles and spirit does more than words alone. It teaches not just the intellect but the heart through actions and feelings God gives. The end result is that eventually each gets to hear the message beyond merely words as God impresses on each the knowledge of Himself and of His Christ.
Jeremiah 31:31-34  "“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
It will not be like the covenant
    I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to them,”
declares the Lord.
“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest,”
declares the Lord.
“For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.”"
The scriptures do guide us on this and it is obvious really what blessing is just intervention by God by the Spirit and what is actually to bless and build up but all the same we need to be not so dead as those who merely read about it scripture but never get given this wonderful Spirit who is from God. This is similar to what happened when Jesus walked the Earth physically before God sent the Spirit to each believer. People read about the Christ in scriptures like Isaiah but sadly did not go to Jesus Himself for life so all they had was Bible knowledge but not life the Bible speaks of. John 5:39 "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life." So many today are content to study scripture but never seek out what scripture speaks of. Life is from seeking the Spirit today.
Many churches witness wonderfully unusual phenomena like what is called Toronto Blessing and 'Slaying in the Spirit'. The Spirit acted on King Saul in a similar way to 'slaying in the spirit' to keep him from killing David. Maybe that is what this action of spirit or Spirit is about: keeping those forsaken by God from interfering with those chosen by God. Maybe. It certainly seems to distract. What I consider 'live' churches full of evidence of grace is the building up work of the Spirit seen in gifts like real prophecy and real xenoglossia with interpretation. One place I attended had so many young men all gifted with prophecy whose combined words could all coincide with what I asked God to say privately before the meeting. My most emphatic clear experience of the 'word of The Lord' coming to me was as I prepared for one of their services. All these workings are like those in the narrative of the life of David and life of Saul and here too we find one losing grace having gained it and one ever growing in it from glory to glory. King Saul and his army all had the Spirit of God come upon them and cause them to prophesy and cause Saul to remain on his face all night but by it they were being prevented from doing serious wrong to David out of the jealousy of Saul who knew David  was being chosen by God and not himself. The greater blessing is to have controlled utterance from the same Spirit to speak inspired words to build up the corporate body of believers who are the body of Christ with Christ as head and to do so as manifesting not just Spirit from God but love for Christ rather than jealousy.
1 Samuel 19:18-24 "When David had fled and made his escape, he went to Samuel at Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him. Then he and Samuel went to Naioth and stayed there. Word came to Saul: “David is in Naioth at Ramah”; so he sent men to capture him. But when they saw a group of prophets prophesying, with Samuel standing there as their leader, the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men, and they also prophesied. Saul was told about it, and he sent more men, and they prophesied too. Saul sent men a third time, and they also prophesied. Finally, he himself left for Ramah and went to the great cistern at Seku. And he asked, “Where are Samuel and David?”
“Over in Naioth at Ramah,” they said. So Saul went to Naioth at Ramah. But the Spirit of God came even on him, and he walked along prophesying until he came to Naioth. He stripped off his garments, and he too prophesied in Samuel’s presence. He lay naked all that day and all that night. This is why people say, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”"

Time to Come Clean

The times are changing again. Things are hotting up with propaganda 'wars'. The old art of Satan's is starting to dominate like in the Garden of Eden through the mouth of a serpent. Isn't it time for believers to concentrate all the more on being truthful before God? Isn't it time to look at how the truth itself is presented by believers and root out any deceptive methods. Lax methods in terms of honesty have sometimes been tolerated in favour of winning battles on worse lies but God does not support deceptive methods the way He favours honesty and we need God's support as truth is neglecting in favour of short term victories. This is no times for lies.

BC or AD?

There is an inheritance shared by most that we have enough difference between years Before Christ and years Anno Dominus (Years of Our Lord) that years of history can be numbered by this demarcation. Yet for so many the lifestyle lived is more appropriate for years Before Christ. The difference between BC and AD should be that humans acknowledge there is now reason to accept we should acknowledge we belong to a person The Christ ('al-Massih', if you are Muslim) who has come as Christ and now is Lord over us. Some Muslims might be led to object to the reason given by Christians for this Lordship which is that Jesus died by crucifixion and rose again having bought believers with the blood He shed and body broken, but it is still so widely known that it demarcates years BC and years AD. So why do so many all around the world live like it never happened. Why not live as those now completely owned by this Lord and Christ? Why, for one thing, live like that ownership only warrants occassional religious festivals, as if He, the Christ had never come and we were still living in years BC?

Inappropriateness of Feasts

The feasts believers keep seem so inappropriate in view of the death on a cross of Christ which buys our entirety and not just one day or week here and there each year. His death on a cross buys me entirely and because God raised Him to eternally live He owns me entirely and this is every day. God made it so to save me. As it was without The Cross the right to command me in all aspects and at all levels of life were not so clear as they are now Christ Jesus has bought me with His own body and blood which God gave Jesus when He brought Jesus into the world. Now the authority right of Jesus over me as my Lord is clear and indeed He is Lord even over my deepest being and all parts of life mind soul spirit and body, because it is all bought by His body broken and blood shed on that cross.

From A Conversation Today About God

[December 3rd and 4th 2016 in conversation in a group on LinkedIn: Asked about a time meeting God in a dream twenty years ago and why I had not met Him since and then being invited to think about the wonder of a butterfly and what it says about God] ...The butterfly body amplifies life in that the movement of a tiny body acting on those large wings is amplified so it is visible to us and we see a gentleness and resilience there which speaks of 'life'. The life in the butterfly is the same life as in all living things and in us but is amplified in the butterfly. We connect mentally with it and it speaks to us of God. There is a Holy Spirit who would point out that the power or rules manifested in this life we see in a butterfly is a person - the person ancient Sumerian teacher-prophet-king Enoch (Enmendurana) called The Son of Man. Jesus said effetively 'yes I am the Son of Man' and is our hint from God to help us know God better now that this life has appeared as Jesus the Christ. Of course we need to let it sink in what Jesus was and is and will be now He has been born to die as a sacrificial lamb and risen to be Lord and Carer over all. It's more thrlling than a rollercoaster ride and healthy too and it's all true; Gott sei dank.
Jesus' words are the very source of life.
I remember the only time I ever saw the Milky Way lying on my back at night in the North African desert with no polluting lights to obscure it. Until that time I had never seen anything so wondrous. That was about thirty years ago. Seeing the glory of the power of Jesus (twenty two years ago) first hand was much more wondrous.
I really don't mind if I never see the Milky Way again because the wonder of it is still there in me and it never fades and seeing it again might harden me to it with over familiarity. With the wonder of God's visits back when they happened I have them still with me and they never fade completely but I want to rest in the arms of His love over and over and always see His wondrous glory and Son of Man for all eternity so much more than to see the Milky Way of this galaxy. I just want it to be in His right time. Like romance really but romance is just a pale reflection of this spirit life.
Meanwhile there is the groaning inwardly of suffering patiently the darkness of this world and the long wait of God's perfect timing.
But that endurance is to the glory of God. 'Amen' True. So be it.
It sounds bizarre but "Put down your umbrella!" I could live forever on those words. Words from Jesus Christ, living, into my mind in a torrential rain storm twenty two years ago just weeks after that dream when God the Father appeared and spoke to me. The things that followed the words were a precious gift from God to me showing me so much.
"Look at the trees how they bud and put forth leaves. They do so by the authority of the Name of Lord Jesus Christ. The planets ..." and it went on to make similar statements of mystery. These were the manifestaion of the Holy Spirit just weeks again after the visit from Jesus Christ and the visit before that from God the Father. All because I asked (after decades of asking and longing) to see God: The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
It was all combined recently with a visit in which a spirit told me to look up a certain chapter (Daniel 3) and in a margin reference in that chapter was a reference to a verse I had been pondering curiously and the chapter answered my curiosity perfectly and this visit confirmed the faith In had just that hour come to.
But perhaps greatest was an unexpected visit when I was having a bath a time after my initial visits and preparing for church where I might be required to speak. Out of the blue came words like words in the Bible and a vision which came true and has been coming true ever since. God said (His words coming to me said) "Israel has sinned" and the vision showed me the eagle of surveiilance overhead. It was before the survelliance events leading ultimately to Operation Desert Fox bombings in 1998, and immediately before the start of police surveillance using helicopters in the UK county of Avon called Operation Vulture in, I think, 1995. So it was fulfilled these following years but starting just days after this prophecy came to me. God is dealing with sins of His people and like the word came to me in the bath so He is dealing with it by washing clean. This is by Jesus Christ the Great High Priest over the House of God. This is God's very own message. I must shout it from the mountain top.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
When you see those operations by military and civilian forces they manifest all sorts of discussions by officials and generals but when in contrast you see manifestations of the Spirit like the message about looking at trees putting out buds and leaves by Lord Jesus' name and authority then it is a pure manifestation of but one source that is the God over all in conversation only with His Son Jesus. [See, even today I receive the dew of my youth as spirit words given me in my youth I could barely discern materialise today decades later in real words of spirit conveying what back then was hidden.]

How To Follow Jesus Christ

To a believer reading John's gospel chapter 8 and the account of Lord Jesus Christ final public preaching in days before His crucifixion it makes sense to grasp what His message was and follow Him by holding fast to it and putting away lies from day to day conversation because He taught that lying is of Satan. This preaching says that doing so is to be combined with believing that the fact that He truly is puts hope in sight. The promise is there in that preaching that truth from Him will set such followers free from the main binding sins that keep us in slavery while slaves are not children of God. So sin by sin the follower finds truth is freeing them and making them more and more children of God under the safeguards and protection of Jesus like a baby back in the womb again.

The Protector

Jesus so protects a believer disciple from the wrathful judgment He also presides over that He is like an umbrella so effective it puts the disciple in what is like a protective womb before birth. He stands effectively between a believer disciple and the wrath of God and intercedes so the believer need not fear when so protected. My recollection of scripture suggest to me that only He mediates this way. 'One Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.' It is what is called His 'Angel' (Angel of the Lord) which does this as was done for Shadrach and Meshach and Abednego who Babylonian King of kings Nebuchadnezza (as recorded in Daniel 3) had them put into a furnace of fire and there was with them in the fire seen one like a son of man protecting them by standing there with them. So fearing God and following and trusting God leads to such protection from the jusgments by men and kings too. And Lord Jesus Christ is king of all such kings.

What is Real Faith?

What is real faith? Many are misled by doctrines of religious history leading away from the work God is doing in their lives. They hear these doctrines and are afraid to simply let God teach them through grace from Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I find God teaches me and others to stop sinning (stop lying, murderously hating, lusting and stop following the pleasure-loving ways of the world which is controlled by Satan) and learn from the truth He teaches and especially His truth about Jesus His Son, looking to Him. Anything else contrary to this or providing an alternative way of looking at things should be ignored and avoided: Our souls are at stake.

What God Says

In Isaiah chapter, God starts by saying (v4) "Woe to the sinful nation,
a people whose guilt is great,
a brood of evildoers,
children given to corruption!
They have forsaken the Lord;
they have spurned the Holy One of Israel
and turned their backs on him."
...
but goes on to say
(vs25,26)
"I will turn my hand against you;
I will thoroughly purge away your dross
and remove all your impurities.
I will restore your leaders as in days of old,
your rulers as at the beginning.
Afterwards you will be called
the City of Righteousness,
the Faithful City."
I God pretty much speaks to His own today as He spoke back then. How will He make the changes happen? The cure He gives is Jesus.

Meeting God

Years ago I got a brief dream vision meeting with God and saw His appearance and heard His voice, at least insofar as He wanted me to know it, so I know what I'm saying. Later met Jesus after asking to see the Son of God. Later (weeks) the Holy Spirit having asked, after years of asking, to meet Father and Son and Holy Spirit. It was the Father who introduced Himself "I am God". In each case they gave me proof (undoubtable proof). Later I heard His message about His people having failed ethically. It nearly matches the start of Isaiah and came with a sign about surveillance signifying that He wants His people to stop doing wrong and learn to do right.

Eye in the Sky and Snoopers' Charter

Here in the UK a so-called "snoopers' charter" is being introduced to give the government here more powers to keep records of our online activity. This is a reminder that God is alive and real and wants a people morally clean by His own cleansing who learn to do what is truly right and give justice to the under-privileged.

To Atheists

We humans got to thinking of developing Mars for human habitation and maybe one day to make animals to give humans company too and how long did it take us as civilised humans to get there? A few thousand years. And you cannot think that some being somewhere would be able to get well beyond that stage even over millions of years to be able to create a home on this planet and while hidden away be able to produce life like us and the rest of our planet occupants for their pleasure and ultimately their company (once we are rwady for it)?

Judgments Inevitably Will Come

Serious judgments to come from God are inevitable, it seems to me, first apocalyptic events like massive numbers of city buildings collapsing all at once around the world by a global earthquaking event and the atmospheric consequences before Christ returns and after the thosand year reign of Christ the removal of many of all spirits or souls of all humans to have ever lived into a place where a large lake of magma or lava or the like opens up near Jerusalem which was long foretold by the name matching the ancient rubblish dumps there called 'Gehenna'. Who is judged like this and why? Science will probably, it seems to me, be seen to have played a major role due to its associations and inclusions of sorcery which is opposed to the truth of God, along with all other kinds of lying fabrications and testimonies and persecutions against those who attest to truth and God's word of truth.

My Lord

You can look out away from yourself to think the power of Christ is there but miss that in your deepest being in the core of you it is there because all space and things are subject to Him and He can tell your brain and heart and inner being what He wants it to do such that it will obey. This is the Lordship of Jesus the Christ. And it is God Himself who calls this Lord Jesus 'The Son of God. I know this because God made it known to me directly and through Jesus Christ and confirmed by the Holy Spirit all within a time of weeks back in the mid nineties.

Al-Massih

Al Massih does mean more than major prophet. It is only one person of all who God made who is The Christ. It is unique to be the Christ of God. This is the one out of all beings who God sent to bear His name and build His house for that name. Descended from David yet creator and Lord of David. Only those to whom God or Allah gives ability can digest what and who The Christ is and the fact He came from God becoming flesh and shedding His blood and living again even now and forever. Lord Jesus the Christ. Isa al-Massih.

Science Versus Religion

From religion comes the idea of solemnly devoting oneself to adherence to principles from God even to the extent that you suffer the setting aside of your own tendencies by which you would otherwise live. Science tends to try to get you to devote yourself to science. Religion is the devotion to God instead. Religion is self denial. Science tries to get you to spoil yourself and indulge in benefits science offers. Religion says only on God's terms. Religion says you have to be willing to set aside time you would otherwise perhaps devote to science and devote it to God instead. But belief is not quite the same because it is about adherence to truth. Not just to duty. To be an adherent to truth means to let truth change you. Religious truth and adherence to it is denial of human testimony in favour of the greater more truthful testimony of God which makes a person good. Religion does not necessarily make a person good. Truth from God shows up science for what it is and this improves us. Without Christ's testimony, science would lead away from truth more and more as lie supports lie and nobody who decries the lies is believed. Christ's testimony made truth accessible and shone a light on the sorcery side of science but still that side has persisted and today we need to re-examine the truth Jesus Christ brought into the world before we destroy the world with technology.

Word of God

When we see a person who has a son or daughter they have raised and we see a son or daughter well cared for and wise, it is a credit to this person in our eyes. So with God. We see a son of God raised from the dead and alive forever and the reputation this son has which is above every reputation and it is a supreme credit to God, so this Son is the word God gives us of Himself.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Really joining into Christ comes with baptism of the Spirit being given on reaching true faith in Jesus who is the Christ. Until then scriptures are the teacher as primary source of 'God's word'. Then after being given the baptism of the Holy Spirit (in other words an introduction to Him as primary teacher), and you find Him real to you, if you are willing to follow Him, He can become that primary teacher and the scriptures are there to support and encourage and confirm His lessons to you, while He forever leads and teaches. God speaks in heaven and His word is applied to His followers through Jesus and the Holy Spirit and prophets who hear. God's word was specially written over the years in scripture along with words of holy people and other relevant words. Scriptures suffice to bring you to Christ and are a source of words to which to adhere always but have weaknesses of ambiguity. These are limits which powerful direct lessons from the Holy Spirit do not have.

The Most Important Truth

Obviously in believing our Lord and Master Jesus Christ is now and will be forever, we will be concerned with what He Himself preaches and Holy Spirit preaches in His name. I find His work is to teach the value and God-associated quality of truthfulness and the other such qualities of God Himself that we ought to have in our lives. Paul pointed this out in Ephesians chapter 4 verse 20 onwards but for me it has simply come by power of the Holy Spirit on receiving the gospel truth of Christ dying for me.

It is The Lord

"Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus." The Gospel of John chapter 21 verse 4.
The event was the third appearance of risen Jesus Christ to the disciples of His after His resurrection from the dead. The place was the Lake Tiberias (Sea of Galilee). Here it is that Jesus is known by a miracle again as He tells His fishermen disciples to let down their nets on the other side of the boat. This is Jesus after His task has been completed of dying and rising again. The only thing left is to reveal Himself as He was and now is and ever will be; the Resurrection and the Life. This is how He lovingly makes Himself known to disciples even to this day so they suddenly exclaim "It is The Lord!"

Judge Not

I wouldn't see the command to 'judge not' as restrictive but rather as liberating. Like the great command 'put away your sword' to Peter at Jesus' arrest. It allows us to pursue a life of peace rather than one of trouble and trouble making. In ancient times it was the Law of Moses (given Moses by God) that eyes had to be put out and teeth extracted ('eye for eye and tooth for tooth') with many requirements of fierce judgment. Jesus alone could override this with confidence God was doing it through Him. A mere teacher and leader could not override such laws. The Son alone had the authority and position as Son of Man from God's right hand to whom God through Moses had commaned all to listen when He come. 'You have heard eye for eye and tooth for tooth - BUT I SAY TO YOU...' Now the heavy yoke could be lifted from weary shoulders and a light yoke taken on the shoulders freely.
Even though we do not need to inflict judgment as people had to do under the yoke of Moses, we still need to explain right and wrong and that gets conflated by many with judging. If we say to someone we have knowledge of the wrongness of something we so often get accused of 'being judgmental'. Yet it is for the Lord to teach people who believe in a way we cannot do. It should not be forgotten that the Lord teaches people in their dreams in a way no mere human words and arguments can do. Is it not oversimplfying it to say right and wrong can be learned from God's word? God's word and Christ's testimony in Revelation in Rev 21:8 has the greek word for sorcery being 'pharmakoi' but who could say, from that, that they are completely confident the word of God is that 'pharmacy' is a kind of sorcery, a sin that leads to hellfire. Likewise lustfulness which has to be punished by churches but who can say from that word in scripture where libido ends and lust begins. Even looking lustfully at the opposite sex is said in scripture by Jesus to be equivalent to fornication but do we understand whether a person doing it is to be punished as a fornicator? Scripture helps convict but is not enough to be rid of all these and other sins. Do we all know from scripture whether lustful dreams are sin (who does not have them) and whether keeping in our thoughts a memory of what hateful people have said of others is harbouring hateful lies? Although there are absolute sins like a robber who can give up robbing and do an honest job, most sins are relative like when you sell goods but overcharge for them. There are mostly grey areas. A saint does not sin as much as a sinner but might still do things dishonest at times. They might not lie pathologically but might allow themselves to think things of others they know might not be true or they might think through a way of saying something deceitful without ever allowing themselves to say it. When one person refrains from a sin they efrectively condemn others who do not resist the temptation. Is it OK NOT to judge? The happy answer is YES. Jesus is including the welfare of the person who might have to judge by saying you can opt out on the grounds you would then be less prone to being judged. Just as you can opt out of shedding blood by fighting on the grounds you would be less prone to dying by the sword. He is providing for 'conscientious objection' This is grace triumphing where Law did not take those under it. Grace provides for the need of the one subject to it. Jesus became like us to give grace according to our need. Our need is to not have to bear the pressure of being subject to harsh judgment because of having been a judge of others. Harsher judgment comes on those who have been harsh in judgment. What is more: This is Jesus giving instructions to builders of the new temple of the body of Christ to keep us all, like Him, free from having bloodied hands that have shed blood. King David was not permitted to build a temple because as a powerful judge for God he had blood on his hands. The promise was given of a descendant of David who would build as one having less bloodied hands holier for the work. Solomon was the immediate answer but the promise was stronger than Solomon alone would fulfill and looked ahead to Jesus the Christ and from Him to those who build with Him who cannot have hands full of blood. Praise God. This is the Kingdom of God with its King on David's throne for ever, Jesus and His disciples who overcome and do His will to the end.
When God Himself judges the judgment acts of God can be so harsh as to make the harshest of other judges shudder and complain. And God sometimes uses human instruments for judgment and sometimes angelic instruments in such service. So to be able to avoid being the instrument of judgment is a gracious dispensation from God through Christ to those who take on themselves Christ's yoke and hope to participate in building up the House of God while keeping clean hands free of bloodshed.

Ethical Progress in Christ

It can be years before we realise the truth about something from which we need to repent and change our behaviour. We will have opinions when we discover the living Christ and receive the truth of His coming into the world. It might be years of following the teachings of Christ before we even realise what it means that He is the Christ. So we will start with such beliefs and a few opinions about right and wrong. We don't have to start with complete knowledge of right and wrong as God sees it. We have to start with belief in how special Jesus Christ is and how God sent Him for us. Then we need to learn truth according to the promise of it that following Jesus includes. We need certainty from Christ by the Spirit to be set free of sin, not mere strong opinions from others where others will have opinions conflicting with eachother. We need righteousness to be as promised us in Christ where we repent in confidence.

Overcoming Sociopathy

Jesus the Christ gave words of wisdom 'the poor you will always have with you but you will not always have me'. Light is here today and gone tomorrow. Poverty and wealthy are here to day and tomorrow. Sociopathic willful ignorance of the poor by the rich is an ongoing part of life. Neglect of the light to get yourself or myself fixed is the thing to guard against. Grab the light while it is grabbable so you or I can overcome our own sociopathic tendencies by it. Darkness does not help. We need light.

Two Jerusalems

The very real future places of a lake of fire opening up near Jerusalem and a city called the new Jerusalem from heaven are described similarly by Enoch in Enoch 89 and God via Jesus via John in Revelation 21. The heavenly city mentioned in both of the above passages is a future place concurrent with a future 'hell' and the criteria for entry into this future city from heaven is to 'overcome' which presumably means to overcome all those things that get people designated to be thrown into that future hell. Overcome. Be victorious over such things as sorcery and deception both these things in yourself and the same things in others.

pharmakois φαρμάκοις sorcerers

In Revelation 21:8 pharmakois  = φαρμάκοις = sorcerers. Sorcery in science.

Heaven and Hell

Book of Enoch 89:34-39. "... At that time likewise I perceived, that one abyss was thus opened in the midst of the earth, which was full of fire. And to this were brought the blind sheep; which being judged, and found guilty, were all thrust into that abyss of fire on the earth, and burnt. The abyss was on the right of that house. And I saw the sheep burning, and their bones consuming. I stood beholding him immerge that ancient house, while they brought out its pillars, every plant in it, and the ivory infolding it. They brought it out, and deposited it in a place on the right side of the earth. I also saw, that the Lord of the sheep produced a new house, great, and loftier than the former, which he bounded by the former circular spot. All its pillars were new, and its ivory new, as well as more abundant than the former ancient ivory, which he had brought out."
Revelation 21:6-11 'Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper.'

Hidden From Sight

I was listening to Revelation being read recently and so much is going on around the throne of God yet look at the sky for any length of time and its silence and constant blank calmness hides all that like a blackout curtain. So God compensates to some people by giving glimpses of the hidden reality but most of all we can reflect on the coming of Christ and what that and His crucifixion tells us of realities hidden from eye-sight view.

This Same Jesus

As a pedestrian I frequently encounter mororists of course but they are in cars and I see the car and only vaguely detect the motorist at the wheel. They are the same person in the car though as they would be if I encountered them walking towards me in the street (albeit perhaps a little more aggressive). Jesus can be encountered in His spiritual power as He can drive nature much as a motorist can drive a car yet it is the same Jesus as was met before He ascended and described in the Gospel of John as He worked a miracle for the disciples then offered them breakfast of fish He had cooked. This same person is encountered by the lucky few spiritually as disciples back then encountered physically in flesh and blood after He had risen from the dead.

Everlasting Spiritual Food

Jesus, as one born but not born from the Earth but born from heaven by the overshadowing of Mary so she would give birth, is so profound a person in history that the coming of Jesus and blood shed by Jesus provides food for our souls as we consider that He came like this. More than the thought of Him being nourishing truth, the very coming of Jesus as divine Word made flesh and blood is a unique provision from God. Yet we need to actually digest this special spiritual food God provides us with and only God can enable us to do that and He doesn't enable everyone, but to those who God enables to receive Jesus' coming in the flesh God provides a unique blessing which is eternal supply of life which continues beyond death until beyond the resurrection and forever. The food for thought a person can be enabled by God to receive includes the fact God did all this for them so that Jesus can hold them and never let them go for all eternity. We are born into this world and at some point we each find out there is a spirit who is the 'God' and other spirits who constitute inhabitants of 'heaven' in service to this God and find there was an occassion 2000 years ago when this God provided food and drink to us as we come into the world and all our lives if He gives us ability to feed on it and it is the Son of Man from His right hand side. For we who can take this Son of Man as food from God it is as though our entry into the world is like entry into God's party where this free food and drink
of the Son of Man's fleshly life on earth is provided to those guests to whom God gives ability to eat this free food. There is no other free food and drink now to eat except this Son of Man's coming and life and death in the flesh. This is all God provides for spiritual nourishment and it is free but only certain guests are given power to eat it and drink it. (A meditation on John 6.)

Experiencing Holy Spirit

Xenoglossia - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenoglossy  or Xenoglossia - very real and in the right spirit very powerful for learning truth from God via Jesus Christ. Same thing as 'writing in the wall' in the time of the fall of Babylon to Persia making Daniel very famous for translating it (gift of interpretation). Some have gift both of xenoglossia and interpretation of it. Interpretation of it is like the tongues but in reverse - being able to understand it because it just seems in the mind to be turned into native language but without having learned anything. At the time I had an interpretation when hearing it spoken by a man in church (someone unknown to me in a church unknown to me) I felt like a huge invisible heaviness weighing me down with awe stopping me getting distracted like I was mentally held in a vice ready for something extremely important and holy to happen. Holy Spirit. I guess this is how the virgin birth came about: Holy Spirit 'overshadowing' Mary.

Not Cut Out For It?

What is interestingly curious in John 6 is that the people who stopped listening to Jesus' manner of teaching had just seen Him feed the huge crowd with a few loaves of bread and a few small fish. The miracle was not enough of a draw to their faith for their faith to withstand turning to the serious truth that He was not from this Earth but was from Heaven and His becoming flesh and blood and future death was what they needed to dwell on in order to live and live eternally. They couldn't take this news, this kind of information, this reality, even after seeing such a miraculous sign from God that was designed by God to show them this was true. I guess if you aren't going to believe you aren't going to believe. It takes more than seeing a miracle, you have to BE a miracle.

Food for Thought

Is there really important food for thought such as thought about God? The real food is not that God is real. It is that the Son of Man with God from the beginning came into the world as flesh and blood in known history - Jesus. Feeding on this and on the death He died and blood He gave even though He is who He is, this is the food we need. Reaching out to this truth or digging deep inside ourselves to find where it lies as facts amongst all the other facts we have learned, this is truly satisfying to the soul. This is true soul food. Spirit food for the soul. Eternally effective satisfaction.

Are You Sharing in Christ?

How does anyone know they are sharing in the Christ. He died so people can share in the spiritial benefits of that sacrifice and therefore also share in the resurrection that followed and share in being put straight ethically by God through Him. Thus it is for priestliness that He came: Eternal priestliness (The Kingdom of God) where a covenant of God to love these sharers in Christ eternally applies. Yet how to know if you yet share in it. He gave the answer as some left Him but others stayed. Those who left were not sharers in Him because God had not enabled them to do so. Peter was one who stayed and spoke of staying because only Jesus was worth perpetually staying with because only He had words of eternal life. He stated that he and the others staying with Jesus knew Jesus is the promised one who had come from God: The Christ. They knew it and therefore stuck with Jesus when others left. God given staying power singled them out. They were coming to learn the real Jesus. This shows a proper creation of God as like trees bearing leaves year on year they persist. These become real children of God led by the real Spirit of God. They realise Jesus is from God and made flesh having existed before as Son of Man and of God so they feed on this truth and on the truth of the sacrifice of His blood. They share eternal life from God and this Christ Jesus. And you?

Life and Death

There is a link between the Laws of Nature and the covenant of love of the Father with the Son. If a glider has an engine it can fly. The laws of mechanics takes it up and keeps it up. If the engine is cut then it would come down by the Laws of Physics but by design it stays up a long time so the engine can be started again. Jesus became flesh but was still Son of Man from heaven who as Son of God had God's love as well as becoming subject to laws of nature by becoming flesh. He could die but still have God keeping the covenant of love with Him. He died but in love God brought Him back from death. A bit like the glider cutting its engine and gliding under laws of nature but the engine being started again before it hits the ground. Enoch seems by Holy Spirit to have taught that there is a link between the laws of nature by which Jesus died when crucified and the covenant of God with Him that brought Him back. This link is the reason trees shed leaves and grow new ones a bit later.

Task from God

Humans are all similar as humans but do different things and take on different challenges. We have different but similar stories. This leads to us taking similar but dfferent tracks and no they do not all lead to Rome. My story led to the challenge I take on which is that I have heard that God gives a job to all who will take it. I believe this story has enough truth in it that I take up that challenge to do that job. The job is to attain belief in what and who Jesus really is and what He has done and will do: To fully believe and realise all this (personally, as a personal set of real beliefs). Very tough. I find believing is a real challenge and I like the way others challenge me on  whether I genuinely believe yet or just accept dogma. Yes I do hope to have real belief within about it. I don't really know where it will lead but the gist seems to be that God pays wages for this job and they have something to do with forever and ever giving life. I feel a duty to complete the challenge and job. For me the hardest thing to realise is the virgin birth that associates Christ with a divine being from the beginning of Creation called the Logos and the Son of Man. Jesus idenitified Himself as The Son of Man. Enoch had taught his visions in the Stone Age and Copper Age of this Son of Man. The Holy Spirit shows this person was before all things with God the Father. Enoch called this God the Father the Lord of Spirits. So religion teaches much about the person with God before the virgin birth. The virgin birth moves all this into our documented human history. We are bound to find it a challenge because it brings all this mystery right to our doors in our history where there are even artefacts to show the time and circumstances of it even today. It was a real time and a real place and our calendar year numbering is based on it. I experienced Jesus now and recognise Enoch's Son of Man as the same person yet it is a matter of disciplined exertion to realise this Son of Man became flesh. So we each one have a task from God to ask ourselves and realise the right response to the question: What and who is He and what has He done and what will He do? My reasoning struggle to realise He was born and died and rose and is the one of whom even secular history speaks is along lines that if it were not for the writings of people like John who met Him and saw Him die and saw Him risen and heard His testimony and even cared for elderly Mary as his own mother so understood that virgin birth of her youth - if it was not for writings of his I would not have eventually met the living risen Jesus. Only the ones enabled by God can take up the challenge to learn from the days when Jesus walked the Earth and realise what it meant about God and realise what the blood of Jesus accomplished. The virgin birth is part of that and the point at which flesh and blood baby divinity came into this world who had been a spirit with God before all things. Jesus knew God before creation as the Holy Spirit who is now abroad can say what God was like before the beginning but are only made known to those God enables to come to Christ and God and recieve the Spirit.  https://www.biblegateway.com/audio/mclean/niv/John.6.28?interface=amp
When you undertake the Great Task set by God you have to filter out all this background noise from the ones who will not now believe and perhaps never will believe. You have to search inwardly to find what helps your heart learn what you know God wants you to believe about Jesus and let the words of Jesus persuade your heart to believe "I am He that lives and was dead and Look! I am alive forever and I hold the keys of Death and Hades".

What To Believe To Be Made Ethically Clean

I guess you only have to have Jesus working in your life to know He lives and lives perfectly but knowing He died is powerful because that means He must also have risen and God must therefore have found His life on Earth sinless and His sacrificial death complete to have raised Him. History tells us He was baptised by John the Baptist and tried under Pontius Pilate. Jesus Himself tells us (in The Book of Revelation) that He died and lives forever. Believing Him is crucial to our wellbeing and life in Him because it opens up the possibility He can be effective as our Great High Priest and make us ethically clean. Believing is prerequisite to receiving.

Holy Words from Heaven Today

I was told by the Spirit "Consider the trees how they put out their leaves and buds. They do this by the authority of the Name of Lord Jesus Christ..." but how else would I be sure this was true except that it be given in an angelic language in church by a speaker and in my ears the power of it inspire English interpretation to enter my thoughts as if it were English. Then to be doubly sure the speaker moments later spoke the very words in English that had been inspired as I heard the angelic beautifully elloquent words that definitely were in some language and definitely not English (fairly sure it was angelic because it was so other worldly).

Get Closer to God

To get close to God and Jesus and Spirit of Truth you have to get ethically clean but obeying God while still doing what you know God hates is not pure. How to become pure? The message that Jesus Christ died for you can sink in and help spur you on if you are not too hard and have some understanding and not too much worldly care. The message makes you able to be close to God so you can know Him and Jesus. Christ died for you so it is surely hope enough to make it worthwhile you purifying yourself ethically and eliminating any attitudes and deeds God hates. Christ died for you. So there is hope. So it is worth you getting ethically cleaned up so you can get close to God to know God as Father.

Why Did Christ Die?

Why did Christ die? For the forgiveness of unethical misdeeds and failings. Take porn for example. Porn is rather unethical and shameful in so far as it's use can be as a tool of fornication. Lust is one of those things we need to cleanse away in an ethical sense when we see hope before us of a permanent place in the Kingdom of God which does give us reason to try and stay free of it. Lying is addressed as a more primary ethical failing though by Jesus (John 8). Murder too which includes murderous tendencies which love the idea of someone dying, perhaps when angry or jealous regarding them (as the new disciples mentioned in John 8 were with Jesus). It is the teaching Jesus gave that looks beyond the unethical action to the underlying condition that leads to it, such as hatred or dishonesty or lustfulness, so behind the use of the porn Jesus would call out the lustful inner state of a person. I confess lustfulness at times among other unethical tendencies. It is all part of being human which means being basically unethical by nature. This is why Christ died for the forgiveness of it.

Kingdom and Temple

It is recorded that God promised King David in ancient Jerusalem that He would one day build a Temple and Kingdom through a man who would be a son to God. The promise was to be fulfilled in Solomon but it hints at the mind God had to one day establish both 'Temple' and Kingdom through Jesus His Son. That Temple and Kingdom is comprised of all who unite themselves in faith in Jesus' honour with Jesus. When a child of God fails ethically they are put right because God provides this as life to them through Christ Jesus.

Monday 7 November 2016

There is Hope

If Christ died for you, and He did, He died for each who can look to what He did by dying on that cross, if so then it is surely hope enough to make it worthwhile you purifying yourself ethically and eliminating attitudes and deeds God hates. Christ died for you. So there is hope. So now get ethically cleaned up.

The Future Worldwide Earthquake

The Worldwide Earthquake  description of it is given and foretold by God through the risen Jesus in Revelation chapter 16 "The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible."

UK Democracy Hypocrisy

If judiciary dictators overturn democracy in the UK and stall Brexit I hope God will do an Exodus (Brexodus) intervention but if not I promise never to vote again as that would be participation in hypocrisy. Democracy hypocrisy.

The Term 'Trinity'

Trinity is a historic problem where a word was introduced by the Latin Father Tertullian and the Roman Empire Church's leaders such as Constantine to describe The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit because there was no word in scripture except 'divinity'. I think it got rather overloaded with meaning not found in scripture except in a few scripture verses that get overloaded to fit with the new word Trinity. In my view it was not a word in scripture by intention because of the truth scripture describes. When the new word was coined it should never have started to carry any new meaning but it did start to get its own meaning as people defended its introduction. We were better off without it because the side effects have detracted from the unique divinity Jesus ascribes to The Father who Jesus identified to His disciples as 'My God and your God, My Father and your Father'. God has not put the term 'God the Son' in the mouths and pen of the first Apostles of Jesus Christ. The phrase they have written regarding Jesus is NOT ever 'God the Son' but instead 'The Son of God' making the Father 'God'. Any spirit denying this they called 'antichrist'. The status ascribed formally to Jesus is 'Lord and Christ' distinct from 'The God' reserved only for God The Father. This is where conscience requires me to keep alternative teachings at arms length. I would say of Jesus informally 'My Lord and My God' but that is like saying 'My Hero' to acknowledge His provision of the divinity and divine authority I need in my life. I no longer let myself refer to 'God the Son' because it is a formal doctrine which scripture does not support (unless forced to).

God's Logos

It seems to be a phenomenon of God before creation and during creation that just like a person can be a mouthpiece for another person so the Logos was like a mouthpiece for God, expressing God the Father in the way the Son alone could do because He fully knew the Father. As a person's word has all the characteristics of that person so the Son of God has (and had and will have) all the characteristics of God. Hence the Son is divine and in the greatest sense anyone save God Himself can be.

Baptism

I was baptised into Christ as a teen so in that sense I belong to Him and have a duty to be true to Him (as if my baptism were a vow to do so). I get the benefits but I have the duties too. Do churches still baptise people who believe or are they ashamed to baptise nowadays? Or maybe they are baptising people who do not really believe and by doing this filling the church with unbelievers? Or do many churches have all their attendership full of people never baptised and never sure about Jesus being the Christ. The benefits of believing and being baptised seem in my own experience to be that Christ looks out for you and God gives Spirit and miracles to confirm you in your belief in what He says. Faith is key but combined with baptism into Christ it is life abundant.

Jesus in History and Revelation

Jesus according to history was born around 6 to 4 BC in a town where lambs were raised for sacrifice in religion in the Jerusalem Temple and then at a young age started preaching and was baptised by John the Baptist. After a lot of Jewish opposition they had Jesus tried by Pontius Pilate their Roman ruler and crucified. The churches of the disciples of Jesus' teachings spread after this crucifixion and it was held that Jesus was the prophesied Messiah and had done miracles and even was alive from the dead. A book was written of a set of letters to churches which were attributed to Jesus as being dictated by the risen Jesus to John and was combined with visions which became known as the Apocalypse or Revelation. Other letters and writings were combined as a corpus later canonised as authentic inspired scriptures. The churches became organised by regions. The earliest were in Antioch in Syria and Jerusalem. Later one was centred in Rome. Others centred in India, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece. By revelation Jesus is the one He Himself proclaimed as the Son of Man. His sent out disciples proclaimed Him as Son of God and Lord and Christ or Messiah. They proclaimed He was the one who with God was existing before the Universe or anything else existed and God was related to Him both as Father with Son and as God with the divine Word of God. The Holy Spirit today proclaims that by the honour and power of His Name all creation continues day after day.

Quran Chapter 4 verse 157

If Quran 4:157 (a verse interpreted as saying Jesus did not die on the cross but was swapped with someone else) came from an angel then the angel may already be bearing the consequences. God knows. If people do not know which angel they should not attribute it to a particular angel in case they are wrong. I think we are seeing the consequences of it in the world today. Galatians 1:8 translated in the New International Version reads "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!" Another verse broadens this curse to anyone teaching a different Jesus to the Jesus preached to the Galatians by Apostle Paul. Quran 4:157 certainly looks like a different Jesus being preached to the Jesus preached by Paul. The consequences are probably what we see beginning ever since 4:157. I reckon they will be eternal. BUT: It looks to me like 4:157 is saying what could be paraphrased as 'don't you Jews boast of killing the messenger like it was an achievement and proved Him wrong, you did kill Him but not of your doing but God's will and it just looked like your achievement and anyway, God raised Him again afterwards and took Him back to heaven'. It might all be a mistranslation and misunderstanding (for some perhaps out of stubborn willfulness but I don't know).

Time Travel

'Time travel cannot ever be possible in the future or we would be inundated with time travellers. All an infinity worth of time travellers would converge on us.' It thought after writing that comment online years ago that it is falacious because an infinity of time travellers would be spread over an infinity of time. Infinity divided by infinity is not infinity. Then yesterday it occurred to me I might have been correct after all since Christ died only once and the death of the Co-Creator is unique in all time so all time travellers would want to go to that point and would have appeared as an infinite number of time travellers from an infinite future converging at the one most singular event in time.

Calling on the Name of the LORD

The most ancient artefacts of history show a concept of nomes or nomos or names going back to most ancient times. A pole might be carried like the Roman soldiers carried a sign with SPQR on it (still used in Rome today) and these 'signs' were depicted in pictures of ancient times and called noms. The concept seems to be the same in modern times among people from Islamic countries having a strong cultural concept of Nomos. The nomos is a family name which ties in to a family set of laws and customs and ties in with family honour. I suggest there has always been this concept and it originates from God giving the preincarnate Word (Logos) His own nomos or name which combines His honour with rules, laws and customs. In the case of this Name above every name it includes authority over all that together God and The Word created. Invoking or calling on this name means more than using a word but includes calling on the honour of this name with acceptance of the duty of obedience to the commands that are given in this name and customs of God and of Christ Jesus whose name it is. This is seen vividly in the example of the 'Lord's prayer' in the gospels. Jesus Himself is held up by God as God's badge of honour or logo (the Logos) when God said of Him anouncing actually from heaven or the sky at Jesus' baptism and later transfiguration 'This is my Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Listen to Him" and on another occassion when Jesus prayed to God "Father glorify your name" God replied with a voice from the sky, from heaven, "I have glorified it and I will glorify it again". And God glorified it again when Jesus was raised up to die on a cross to take away the sins of the world. "Behold the Lamb of God".

Increasing Polarisation

The people with mark of the Beast and the people with the seal of God: Earth will become more and more polarised in its human popluation into just two camps - those who truly belong to God and are sealed by His angels and those who let themselves be sealed with a mark of the Beast which shows they are against obeying God and belong to the other camp. The camp of the Beast might seem innocent enough to us as it materialises more and more but it is not God's camp and people will only be in one camp or the other. The Beast will kill those in God's camp and God will smite those in the Beast's camp. This will get worse and worse until Jesus Christ comes and destroys the Beast by the word of God from His mouth. The smitings of God on the Beast's will not include anything harmful to trees and grass and greenery. The Beast however and those with its mark on its side smite the people with God's seal by killing them for not having the Beast's mark and in so doing they are unlikely to be careful to not harm trees and grass because they are destroyers who destroy the Earth (a major reason why God will destroy them at the proper time). Maybe the Beast and the people with its mark will use a lot of technology in their assaults over and over on the people without their mark and this might be destructive on the environment too.

Trip to Rome

Going to Rome and seeing the place of where Peter is buried after being executed in Rome far from his home in Israel helps me realise this all did happen in real history. Seeing evidence of the possible remains of John the Baptist on TV helped too. Books don't help much. It rings true that Peter would be totally unknown if Jesus Christ had not died outside Jerusalem by crucifixion. And if Jesus were merely a sinner then still I would not know or be interested in the mortal remains of Peter there in Rome. Seeing Jesus' disclosure of Himself to me confirms He lives today and if today, then forever. Seeing accounts of Him in the Book of Enoch shows He lived before even Abraham too. Ever beside God as the mouthpiece of God.

Amazing Wisdom

Amazing wisdom God had in the power of the sacrifice of the body and holy blood of His holy righteous faithful Son and amazing what effect that sacrifice has on us as we learn that it has happened in how it liberates us from the awful power our past sins would otherwise have over us and liberates us from being slaves to human nature which otherwise would keep us sinning. All because Jesus Christ the Son of Man bloodied by whipping was lifted up to die on a crude cross of wood to be seen by all like Moses lifted a bronze serpent on a pole of wood as God commanded. Strange wisdom but it worked. The snake bites were healed when the bitten people looked at the bronze snake and the human nature of sinfulness and failings and guilt is healed by the lifting up of Jesus in crucifixion when we learn of this truth and dwell on it and trust in this work of God.
A priestly question has to be asked 'was it for me?' and as the hymn puts it poetically 'can it be that I should gain an interest in the saviour's blood, died He for me?'. The answer is there in the fact that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ was a raising up of Christ dying for ALL to see so yes it is for whoever will regard it and be set free by it from guilt and human unworthiness. You just turn to it and find it is for you.
Afraid to look to it? Afraid what might happen? Think how much it cost God to prepare this sacrifice for you. Can you refuse this? Accepting it joins you with others who accept it, many ordinary people. But can you refuse what cost God so dearly?

Play By The Rules

Let the One at the right hand of God have His rules obeyed which we are told were first to love God and second to love our neighbour. God gets first place in the teaching and life of Christ Jesus now at God's right hand. We do well to heed and copy that. Including God in our choices of our leaders is one key way to love God.

Four Little Words of Power

There is a message that carries power even with four words used to express it but it only has power when heard by a believer. The four words are CHRIST DIED FOR YOU.
The meaning of the first word conveys much to a believer that Jesus is the Christ. It matters to a believer that there is a Christ set aside by God to convey saving power to a believer. If you get baptised into the grace of Christ as a believer and put faith in the grace of God and its ability to save you then to know that He died for you is to know that by sharing in Him you are sharing in the power of His death and you are made by His death into His possession to share the efficacy of that death on the cross. It means there is hope. It means He can save you now He is risen because His death counted for something with God and God will now save you as you are part of Christ. It makes the name He gave Jesus 'The Lord God saves His own' apply to you since God saves Jesus and you are part of Jesus because of His death for you and He being the Christ has all God's greatest blessing which you share. If you do not yet feel part of Jesus Christ yet you do believe then there is hope if you will be baptised into Him so you too can share in Him by His death on the cross. It also means you, as a believer and sharer in Christ, are an equal member of a body of believers who are His body. Be honest with them. They are part of the body you also are part of.

No More Fabricating

We have a tendency among Christians to present as true what we are not really certain is true. This is really a way to lie. Lies are not part of what God is about. We can believe this by learning from the Spirit of Truth put in our hearts when we believe. Peace from God is a guide into truthfulness and truth and it will not lead us into lying or fabricating. Fabricating lies comes as habit when we are under pressure from other believers to say certain things but we might say them as true before being sure personally that they are true. We might assert there is a hell before we are convinced of the truthfulness of scriptures that reveal hell. We are kind of being dishonest to do that. We need to rid ourselves of not just lying but of fabricating lies and tricking people by deceptive tricks into going along with our message. It seems honest to us if the end seems good and we think the end justifies the means but we need to be so holy that if we died we would not be those who practice falsehood who Revelation's message seems to warn have a bad future after death with the Second Death. Let's believe in Christ to save us if we unite with Him in His death and resurrection. Let us instead of fabricating dishonestly what we do not know for sure first find certainty in Christ then speak from this standing in what we really do believe, knowing from whom we have learned it. Christ Jesus is Faithful and True. I know this much. I know His testimony is true.

What is the Gospel Truth?

The gospel means the good preaching that Jesus gave following on from the preaching of John the Baptist which starts with this "Stop sinning" and "If the Son sets you free you shall be free indeed". The truth is that it is Jesus being Christ and dying and rising. This makes Him one with believers who identify with Him then we find Jesus is the Great High Priest who can set us free from being subject to the Second Death (the final judgment). The gospel is that we are called to be saints by being called and commanded to stop sinning. The gospel is completed in the last chapters of Revelation that some are not just called to stop sinning but chosen to succeed and escape the second death. Jesus made such people part of Him by dying for them and makes such people a kingdom and priests once they stop sinning and have the Spirit of holiness within them. It is good news to hear we can so escape the second death. The Spirit is to enter within our inner beings as we receive this teaching and preaching. If we believe it we will receive miraculous signs and the Holy Spirit as we meet and in private lives too. He gives us what we need to live forever and escape the Second Death Lake of Fire foretold by God in Revelation and we need to live by what comes from the Holy Spirit rather than by our human nature.

Opposition to the Testimony that Jesus Christ died and rose

The Quran has the following passage which gets quoted when I tell about Jesus Christ dying for our sins. "And [We cursed them] for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander, And [for] their saying, 'Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah .' And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise." (Quran 4:156-158)
My experience is (no lie or fabrication) that confirmation of the message of Christ dying for me was given me directly in truthful power of a spirit within me increasing power in my voice when I confessed truthfully and not when I spoke untruthfully which happened to me just as I prayed with a street preacher who preached 'Christ died for you'. The words hit home in me so I told him about it and asked his help because it never hit home like that before. He took my inside a church in Birmingham centre (UK) and prayed with me and let me pray. As I confessed in prayer in words of truth my voice suddenly became ten times stronger and when I erred from honesty the power went away but kept coming back when I spoke the truth with candour. It continued like that afterwards as I prayed with other Christians in a meeting after the street preaching finished. There have been many such things since teaching me that God is truthful and that the testimony of the gospels is truthful (as I must be).
That spirit power especially surged in my voice (I'm not lying) when in that meeting with Christians we sang this hymn   "And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain—
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
’Tis mystery all: th’Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,.."

Assurance Jesus Died and Rose Again

Those to whom Jesus Christ discloses Himself testify that He is alive and is Lord and yet their testimony is not believed. Instead people believe a lie. The way by which I came to a place in which Jesus disclosed Himself and God disclosed Himself and the Holy Spirit disclosed Himself is the way of believing and obeying the testimony preserved in the Gospel of John and this testifies that Jesus died on the cross and when a soldier peirced His holy side with a spear both water and blood flowed out. So He, Jesus Christ truly died upon that cross and experiencing Jesus myself by following this testimony is evidence to me it is true so this is no fabricated lie. They fabricate a lie who boldly declare that Jesus never died on that cross.

First Things First

The same message is to all, irrespective of religion. God has taught that we are to put away from us the bigger 'sins' (Jesus noted lying and murdering) in the immediate term and the lesser sins will be removed from us in the longer term. Eventually we need to no longer be doing the things that characterise those who will go into the lake of fire forever and we need to be forgiven things like that before we die. Otherwise Jesus called it 'dying in sins'. It takes belief to get this far, belief that Isa al-Masih to Muslims, Jesus Christ to Westerners, really is, right now. and was and will be, because we need the assurance of His priestly support. He died for sins as God's sacrifice for us then rose from the dead so we need not die in sins.

The Greatest Thing

The greatest thing is the smallest that grows to become the biggest - the greatest next to God Himself, that is.

How We Must All Change

How should God's light affect me? The fact I have been a liar and have hated people when angry with them is the starting point from which I now have to progress as soon as I realise God is saying to stop doing it. First I have to understand that this is indeed what God is saying and a good way to understand this is to read The Gospel of John chapter 8. Now it is a big change to stop lying and angrily hating so I need assurance Jesus is alive as priest to help me change and assurance His death has been a sacrifice for the way I have lived. When I have these assurances I must keep hold of what He said and move forward to put away lying and hating and know that telling the truth is God's way.

Dabela

"The eagle shall instruct them."
This comes from a translation of what might actually be the oldest prophecy in the world apparently describing our time. The eagle is the instructor to the other birds of prey who attack targets including sheep and lambs. Could it not be describing surveillance aircraft passing instructions to drones and other attack aircraft and oppression being metered out on believers in God who are kind and gentle? The prophecy goes on to describe one who is unstoppable who supports the lambs and sheep. God preached through Christ and prophets and others He sent that people should be kind and gentle like these lambs and sheep and not return evil for evil let alone evil for good. The gentle non-violent lambs are not always protected though from ruthless and over-zealous attacks from leading nations equipped with air attack technology and mass surveillance methods to guide such technology. Yet God not only instructed through Christ Jesus His Son to rely on God for help without being violent but He also taught to pray to Him for justice and believe He would give it against an enemy. The prayer of a believer who does not doubt can do more than all of mankind's forces put together. It can even raise the dead. Submitting to authorities except in direct contravention of God's commands then praying to God for justice and vengence rather than taking it upon yourself can make a believer so powerful that authorities will try hard to prevent such faith but like Pharoah up against Moses and his God, the true and living God, mere human leaders can only dig a deeper and deeper pit for themselves. This power in God's help must surely have been prophesied if one does learn to weild it like Moses did and yes it seems it is indeed foretold that it will excel in an individual called the dabela, not to say it does not reside to a lesser extent in others too. The dabela will be alive ehen Jesus Christ returns, if one interpretation of this prophecy is correct in identifying the return of Christ with one who is in heaven comes to the aid of the dabela in full view of all the world. Enoch 89.

Hell

What is Hell? Judging using religious faith from a combination of sources including Sumerian prophecies (taking The Book of Enoch as Sumerian) and testimony of Jesus Christ along with visions such as John related in The Book of Revelation where God gives His word on the matter, there are two physical places described as places of punishment after death. There is one place existing now and it will be replaced with another in the future (centuries from now). The place of punishment existing now is called Hades and it is described as like a huge underground chamber, perhaps an empty magma chamber, where billions of souls or ghosts of the deceased from all time of human existence are held as if they haunt it but are unable to leave it. It can be seen from this place that at least one other similar underground place exists where souls or ghosts of humans are held without punishment but none can go from one place to the other or others. The place that does not yet exist is called Gehenna or Hell or The Lake of Fire and it seems it will be like a huge magma or larva (perhaps even plasma) area that will emerge close by the site of present Jerusalem. This place will receieve people from Hades and from the living too who will be raised from the dead for a little while for their final judgment before they are assigned there permanently. After this Hades will itself be assigned to such fire, perhaps the very same place of fire.

Three Problems in Church Life

Three problems lead to failure in church life after people hear that Jesus is God's lamb who was raised high on a cross to die for them as sacrifice for their wrongdoing. First Jesus said 'unless you believe that I Am you will die in your sins' and that is the first problem - so many church attenders die 'in their sins' tragically still destined for the second death. This first problem makes it so important to understand what Jesus meant by 'before Abraham was, I Am'. (John 8). The second problem is people not being told in terms and logic they understand to stop doing this and that - stop lying, stop hating when angry and wishing ill on people, stop lusting, stop practicing falsehood like having false objects of worship and stop magic arts like astrology, seances and divination. Then they always need to hold to the gospel teachings to be free and fruitful. This is the third problem that so many hear the preaching but fail to keep holding to what Jesus, His apostles and the Holy Spirit and prophets have taught. It needs to be held to in loyal faith all through life.
So the three steps or three problems to overcome once each individual is presented with the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ are these. (John 8). First to believe Jesus is and was and is to come, the Christ. Do they really get challenged as to whether they believe it. Second to be called to stop doing things that lead to death such as the key ones first that is stop lying and hating and lusting. Third to learn the teachings of Jesus and those He sends and not just accept them but loyally hold to them in faith as being what God has said in truth. Do they get challenged to never think they have outgrown the need to keep hold of these things? Yet so many are immediately introduced to step three but bypass steps one and two. Straight into detail without being called to believe and live as saints and be one with Jesus Christ who is one with God. It has to be in order for each person. Else they will think they have life when they don't.

A Theological History of Time

Having studied the arguments for and against regiously gained knowledge compared to scientifically gained knowledge I have the following idea of the history of time and the universe. It is a derivative of the religious Logos Doctrine. It is adjusted for modern scientific knowledge of the universe from advanced telescopes but hinges on faith which is helped and honed by such knowledge. The universe was made through the Lord Jesus Christ back before His life as a human: Back at the start of time and space when He was purely a God called the Word (Logos) and the Son of Man. The Logos Doctrine stated that He came into the Universe as a human being born of a virgin and by the workings of the Holy Spirit (a major mystery). It seems that now the plan is that He will fill the Universe as a Human Being (2.0) raised from the dead and eternal; the universe His powerful logic and honour maintains. This in accordance with God's will and predestining sovereign power in the love God has for Jesus His Son. So God existed before anything else and has from the beginning had this plan all along. There must be a sense in which everything changed when Jesus came to the extent a new phase was begun in the history of time itself.

Science and Religion Paradox

The paradox in Cartesian science is that to keep the Cartesian rules you have done break the Cartesian rules so it fails. Science becomes inherently religious about not being religious if it follows Decartes. Decartes, or his followers anyway, tried to rid science of human influences but by following this you allow his human influence. So I recommend breaking with these 'mere rules taught by men' as Christ taught, in favour of keeping rules taught by Christ. Lo and behold the hyopcrisy goes away. Then mix theology back in with physics but only good theology and only good physics.

Crucifixion of Christ as a Sign

The sign of Christ's crucifixion is a sign of Jesus Christ's washing all who look to Him with a heart to believe. He was lifted on a cross after flogging covered Him in His own blood. The sign is like the Roman practice of putting a natural sponge dipped in vinegar on a stick to wash the body with it. The body being washed by Jesus is the collection of those who believe that 'He is' and who hold to His teachings, wanting Him to wash them and letting Him wash them. He said "Unless you let me wash you, you have no part in me." His body bloodied by scourging and nails and spear raised on a wooden cross became like the sponge dipped in vinegar put on a stick. In short it was a curse on sin and human nature and promise by God of Jesus washing it clean of sin and freeing it by the power of spirit, first in Jesus' words of spirit then in Jesus' blood, holy blood of one with no sin, God's lamb, then in the powerful Holy Spirit sent by God to come alongside believers as a holy advocate.

Anthropomorphic

In a special kind of dream with proof it was a reality beyond a mere dream I certainly with zero doubt saw the 'force' people call God and He exactly has 'human' characteristics. Of course He must be more than He briefly showed me but there is no doubt in my mind He would not 'lie' in what He showed of Himself. I'm sure we have this folk memory of Him as anthropomorphic because He always appears to people like that. It isn't because people were uneducated or primitive. I believe being made in His image is about more than such appearance but it does seem to include such appearance and characteristics. Intelligence of course and language expression and so on although spirit communicates with pictures and forces as well as words and God is spirit. The picture of the Logos prophets like Enoch had was of a Son of Man. The picture we get is that God and the Son of Man are as father and son and together said 'let us make Man in our image'.

Source of Truth

That all things known to man were created as seen in all obeying the same set of rules is a plausible dogma but it is not merely the plausibility that makes some believe it but primarily the source of it and the history of how that source was known in ancient times until today. The source is primarily Christ Jesus and the Spirit inspiring believers in Him. We accredit the source with being trustworthy and true. So when we find that this is a consistent dogma they preach we tend to feel the obligation to accept it. Scientists are historically among those accepting it. Who is then to say this is not science?

Dream Messages

Remember those rulers mentioned in scriptures who had messages given them in dreams from God (not too rare an event for a ruler) and were surrounded by perhaps well meaning but deficient advisors who gave mere opinion interpretations of the dreams which the ruler could not trust. One ruler solved the situation by forgetting the dream so no false interpretation could be given because the interpreter needed also to tell what the dream was. Only a true interpreter could do it. Fortunately one was at hand, gifted by God. Rulers have always had such problems with getting true unadulterated messages from God and filtering out the spin and flattery and cunning but false advice. Ordinary folk have this too when wanting to be saved and truly saved.

Christian Children

Christians have children. What do churches teach such children and think of such children as they attend sunday school or equivalent? Scripture says the children of at least one believing parent has holy status before God. What if their parents do not clearly stand out as believers, for instance they might doubt but then so did the Apostle Thomas. I grew up a son of a pastor and grandson of a missionary pastor and was expected to be a believer, which to some extent I was as far as a child can be completely sure of anything. Yet I sinned quite a lot you might say (and I would agree) but in church they thought me above all that and I didn't like to argue about it (well at least not about that, but I argued a lot about most things!). So I was trapped into lying. I hated it and longed to be known as I was and helped to repent. I was forced to pretend to be a saint. Until someone sent me away and while away I got 'saved'. When I say 'saved' I mean I heard a simple gospel message, confessed to the preacher a bit of real truth instead of the usual lying to fit expectations, confessing I realised the truth of Christ dying for me like for the first time and realised I might not really be a Christian, he prayed with me, I prayed, the Spirit came on me powerfully breaking the hold of lying by teaching me with demonstration practically of power within to tell truth and not lie, I confessed to other believers and saw more power, it stopped when I went home but the lesson was learned. Just step one of many to come. Still seeking to break further holds of sins. So sanctification takes time but starts somewhere - the message of Christ crucified. Now I overflow with joy in certainty based on power - certainty Christ died for me. But more sanctification has to happen and that is partly up to me to 'stop sinning'. Thanks be to God. Each Christian parent has to tell the basics to their children and this could be a kind of preaching. The people who make it into the kngdom of God all become a kind of priest and priesthood requires answering questions about God. I found that many preached to me but didn't do so well enough when I was a young man to help me repent. They mixed the gospel with their opinions about me which were too easy on me. I needed a gifted and called stranger away from anyone who knew me to filter out all that noise and tell it as from God so I could receive it as from God. Then the Holy Spirit anointing came and the preacher was familiar enough with it to let it happen. All this took gifting and a true sending to preach. The preaching by well meaning but all too human folk might only have been hardening me. I would say they were relating gospel concepts but not really directly preaching the gospel. The real preacher simply used a board and paper in the street and wrote 'CHRIST DIED FOR YOU'. Perhaps all the preaching people who knew me weren't at all at fault but were not enough for me to believe because they simply had opinions about and I needed someone who had no opinion or knowledge of me to tell me God's message unhindered by personal opinion. So I needed there to be someone with nothing except preaching of the gospel to do. Friends simply could not help, just because faith needed a real preacher.

The Need for Good Advice

If Science and scientists were reliable in advising then maybe we would not feel a need to preserve scriptures down the generations. Too much conflicting so-called scientifice advice surrounds us about how to live and work and especially rulers must find this upsetting so some have enough wisdom to reach beyond it to seek a true message from a true and wise God who we feel is there. These messages are rare enough that we want to preserve the best of them so we preserve and filter (select) them as scripture and God helps this and actually leads it and provides it. The Jews have been supreme in this over the millenia as priests to all the world effectively. Now some who aren't Jews are involved more than in the early civilisations. Before the Jews some like Enoch did it and Egypt and Babylon sought to preserve such wisdom as that which had come through Enoch and others. The coning of The Christ was a crucial moment in all this.

A Created Universe

There is hardly a verse in scripture of the evangelically accepted canons (66 books of OT and NT) in which to find anything hinting at God creating more than planet Earth and its atmosphere. This is not saying a created universe is not believable doctrine but it does not primarily come from scripture but more from a review of spiritual insight into the Apostolic faith in the light of relatively modern knowledge of the existence of space beyond the Earth. To my mind the only scripural basis of any certainty beyond forced or contrived interpretation is the Logos doctrine. Christ holding all things together with a law of Christ to which all created things adhere. All things obeying these laws must be so created. The maturing of scientific knowledge leads to an understanding of a common set of Laws of Nature or Mathematical Principles behind all things known to natural sciences so it follows that the Logos belief applies to all these things equally and therefore that all were made by God through Christ.
Considering traditional evidence given for creation taken from Genesis chapter 1, I believe there is evidence that even long before the time of Moses the knowledge of the universe may have been quite advanced. Constellations were recognised. Stars seem to have been understood to be very distant. Explanations of seasons and even the comparison between the lunar and solar calendars were known to Sumerians with knowledge on a par with that of ancient Greek philosopher scientists such as Archimedes and later the magi who visited infant Jesus. God could have explained more detail about creation than is given in Genesis and probably did. Genesis chapter 1 seems to be a very brief summary by way of introduction to the history of Abraham.
