The reconciliation message

The ancient Hebrew prophet Isaiah on seeing the glory of God was convicted of his own sin. He said, “Woe is me, for I am pricked to the heart; for being a man, and having unclean lips, I dwell in the midst of a people having unclean lips; and I have seen with mine eyes the King, the Lord of hosts.”

He wrote about it “There was sent to me one of the seraphs, and he had in his hand a coal, which he had taken off the altar with the tongs: and he touched my mouth, and said, Behold, this has touched thy lips, and will take away thine iniquities, and will purge off thy sins.”

We may feel this way by conviction of the Holy Spirit. We may be pricked to the heart.

The message from God to everyone today is the cross of Christ. Christ died for you. The reconciliation is there in the crucifixion of the Christ. There were three crucified that day. Jesus in the middle, joining people with God in reconciliation by his blood, redemption, forgiveness of sins. On one side a thief crucified who accepted him. On the other side a thief crucified who rejecting him.

The message comes with power to those who accept him. The power is like the coal, which the angel had taken off the altar with the tongs: and touched upon Isaiah’s mouth to purge his sins and cleanse him from all his wrongdoing. The power can cleanse the one who accepts Jesus and the reconciliation with God brought about through his cross and your belief in the message of it. If you believe: Confess your sins to God and receive in prayer this power. Confess to other believers when you can. Let the power come into your innermost being to turn you from your wrong ways for which you have conviction.
