The Father, the one true God, laid on Jesus His beloved, only-begotten Son, our sins when Jesus was crucified on the cross. It is a hidden truth we know only from testimonies and prophecies. Everything about the Father revealed to those who love Him is fully consistent with it, and the resurrection in which He raised Lord Jesus from the dead confirms it. John the Baptist testified about it, that Jesus is the lamb of God. Christianity is built on this one truth above all others. This is the truth because of which any disciple of Jesus can have hope in following the Lord Jesus Christ. God did not lay our sins upon Himself, He laid them upon His begotten Son. This is the holiest truth.
