The Top Two Spots

Saying “my God” to someone is simply saying to them “tell me anything and I will do it”. It means abject submission. It is not a statement of theology. However, even if Jesus’ apostle Thomas meant something theological when he exclaimed to Jesus “my God” on seeing him alive from the dead, it is not a surprise, since he had just seen that Jesus, clearly his own lord still, alive again even after they crucified him, will be lord forever, and that is a tiny step down from the Father who will be the Most High God forever. The Very Top is the Father. The Very Top minus a little bit, second only to the Very Top, is Jesus. Calling Jesus “my God” on realising this, seeing with your own eyes Jesus clearly immortal and triumphant over all other lords (except the Father), is not theologically incorrect. He together with the Father will forever occupy the Top Two Spots, but the Father alone will be uppermost and forever the very greatest.

Consider the trees. They put forth buds and leaves. They do so by the authority of the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
