The twelve tribes, especially northern tribes which are so mingled with Gentiles no line can be traced to them, are now somewhat symbolic, in particular the lost tribes. The lost tribes are symbol of those who the Jews once insisted could not worship acceptably. Now the Lord Jesus Christ has interceded for them with God, and God has given the Holy Spirit, like a well of water, welling up within those who believe Jesus is Christ and therefore hold to his teachings. This allows a new way of worshipping God acceptably. God sends His gospel, and the teachings and commands of Jesus, to these once lost people, and to all who they symbolise. He creates new worshippers this way.
