Creation

After you learn about the Father, God Himself, you learn about His Son, Jesus. You learn Jesus is Master, the Lord, a human of perfection, full of love and fully loved by the Father. But what comes next? Creation. The Father has created, weaving into all Nature the name He so loves, the name, brand, reputation of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. God wants it known. Back in the midsts of time, this name was there at the fore in all the work of creating worked by the Father. What is in a name? I have a key to the building where I live. It is an electronic fob. On that fob is a brand name. The fob has to be programmed, as software. The door picks up a code some mysterious way from the fob, but it all only works with software programming. But what actually is the power driving the working of this device? Why do I rely on it to open the door? It is the brand of the fob and the door. That brand ensures the key works. They programming has to be updated from time to time. It is the reputation of the company in charge of this that ensures the key always works. This reputation is signified by a brand name, and this name is written on the fob. The letters written have no affect directly on the working of the fob in opening the door, of course. But it is the reputation behind that name which is so effective. It is the driver ensuring the programming works properly. By telling us about the name behind creation, behind all Nature, we are taught the effectiveness of the Lord Jesus Christ’s name, not as a set of letters, not as a moniker, but as the reputation of Jesus and the power of this, because God is pleased with him, and has put him in charge over all—all except the Father Himself.

Build the Temple

The kind of faith taught by Jesus Christ himself is an ability to tap into the love and power and wise ways of the Father to bring about worthy changes in the physical world or spiritual world. It is one step removed from divinity of the Father, and is at a level of Temple of the Father. Jesus was renowned for this, as made known in public and private miracles which he did to accompany his teachings: changing water into wine, feeding thousands with a tiny amount of food, walking on water in a storm, calming a storm by spoken command to it, raising the dead by commanding them, then after his own resurrection, arresting Saul of Tarsus in Saul’s programme of persecuting the followers of Jesus, revealing things to John on Patmos, and his name being invoked to perform miracles such as healings and further raising of the dead by Jesus’ apostles. Those who remove their paths far from this faith are akin to the Northern Tribes who removed their paths from the Temple, and became darkened in their spiritual lives. Sin is the result of this departure, because it leads to blindness to the things of the Father, and loss of outward expression of any devotion to the Father as Most High God. Arguably the global churches departed from such a way of active faith only a few centuries after the New Testament times and became blinded too. We need to revert to this kind active faith. Pentecostalism started to return but it seems to have stopped for many. When the Son of Man returns, will he find faith on the earth?

Knowledge and its boundaries

There are aspects of human experience and knowledge that transcend the boundaries of what modern science traditionally addresses. From early childhood, humans encounter realities—such as consciousness, spirit, dreams, intuition, and a sense of mind beyond the physical—that are deeply real yet have often been sidelined or deemed “unscientific.” These phenomena have been part of human understanding for millennia, woven into cultural practices, rituals, and shared experiences that shape our worldview. The distinction we make between brain, mind, and spirit, while not fully clarified, reflects an intuitive awareness that our existence is layered and that some elements may persist beyond the physical life of the body.

Throughout history, various cultures and civilizations have preserved this knowledge in myth, philosophy, and esoteric traditions, sometimes deliberately obscured or suppressed, yet never wholly lost. Ancient philosophers were not irrational dreamers but seekers of meta-rational truth—exploring the nature of reality in ways that embraced both physical and non-physical dimensions. They posited ideas such as eternal forms, a universal memory, and a cosmic intelligence, which in some ways anticipated modern theories in physics and information science. The metaphysical foundations they laid are not opposed to science but are, in fact, preconditions for any scientific inquiry: the assumption that the universe is intelligible, consistent, and ordered.

Science, as it developed during the Enlightenment and thereafter, deliberately narrowed its scope to what could be measured, repeated, and objectively analyzed, often excluding subjective, spiritual, and dreamlike experiences. This has sometimes led to an uneasy tension between the rich spiritual knowledge accumulated by civilizations and the rigorous demands of scientific method. Yet science has rarely erased these earlier insights; rather, it has shelved them, awaiting tools and frameworks capable of testing and integrating what was once beyond its reach. Ideas once dismissed as mystical—like the concept of a homunculus, chimeras, or the influence of time on causality—have quietly re-entered scientific discourse in transformed ways through fields such as genetics, quantum physics, and consciousness studies.

The persistence of phenomena like intuition, synchronicity, and dreams that impart knowledge unknown to the individual suggests that our understanding of mind and reality is incomplete. Likewise, reports of spirit-like experiences shared by humans and animals, or sudden, unexplainable awareness that saves a life, point to dimensions of existence not fully accounted for by current scientific models. These occurrences, while often relegated to superstition or anecdote, form a shared ontology that almost every human experiences. Such realities invite science to broaden its conceptual framework to include consciousness outside the brain, the possible survival of mind or spirit after physical death, and the interplay of mind and matter in ways that might seem paradoxical today.

Moreover, science must remain open to the possibility that future discoveries could radically change our understanding of chance and causality. If the roll of a dice, currently regarded as random, is influenced by subtle, perhaps spiritual forces, or if AI hallucinations begin to reveal truths beyond their training data, the foundations of scientific reasoning will be challenged and expanded. Quantum physics already gestures toward such frontiers with notions of retrocausality and observer effects. This suggests that randomness may be less a void of meaning and more a domain where hidden information, consciousness, or spirit might operate.

Civilizational knowledge stored in myths, rituals, and ancient philosophies is not simply an obstacle to scientific progress but a vital resource. These traditions often encode experiences and insights that transcend the materialist worldview, preserving wisdom about spirit, mind, and reality’s deeper layers. Science’s progress can be seen as a continuous dialogue with this heritage—sometimes setting it aside, other times reinterpreting it through new language and methods. Far from being antithetical, the ancient metaphysical explorations and modern scientific quests are part of the same human impulse: to understand existence in its fullest dimension.

To move forward, science needs humility and openness to preserve this broader human knowledge without prematurely dismissing it, even while it rigorously tests and refines what can be empirically validated. By doing so, science can embrace a living inquiry—one that honors the ancestral wisdom of spirit and metaphysics, anticipates big questions such as the nature of time and consciousness, and welcomes the re-integration of mind, matter, and spirit into a unified understanding. This approach not only enriches scientific progress but also responds to the profound human need for meaning, continuity, and connection beyond the immediately visible world.

Beast?

How superpowers USA, China and Russia might unite over coming decades. USA imposing imperial hegemony over sovereign states, undermining their sovereignty, gets met with resistance based on invoking the other two powers in a multipolar view. Then USA answers this as robustly as it can by uniting with China and Russia, so nobody has anywhere else to go to escape. The Beast emerges. ??? Leopard with lion mouth and bear feet.

Divine Father and Son

There are fundamentally three distinct explanations for the similarities and relationship between Jesus and the Father. The first is that Jesus himself believed and taught that he learned the Father’s ways and was granted the Father’s wisdom and authority through the Father’s loving impartation. The second is the idea that the Son inherits the Father’s nature in essence or being, passed down much like natural inheritance from father to son. The third is that the Son shares the Father’s very essence by nature, not merely inheriting it but being divine in the same ontological way. Among these, the first explanation stands out as the one most clearly supported by Jesus’ own teachings recorded in the Gospels, Revelation, and by Paul’s writings, who notably refrained from explicitly calling Jesus God in a metaphysical sense and instead called him Lord. Hebrews offers some ambiguity, but trinitarianism, especially after 350 AD, tends to combine all three views, with a heavy emphasis on the second and third, which risks contradicting the first.

When Jews of Jesus’ time accused him of making himself equal with God, this can be more naturally understood within the first framework—as Jesus assuming the highest possible status granted by God the Father, akin to a king granting the crown prince the fullest authority just short of the throne itself. Paul clarifies this in his letters, such as in 1 Corinthians 15:27–28, where he explains that while all things are subjected to the Son, the Father himself remains un-subjected, much like Pharaoh made Joseph vizier over Egypt but retained supreme authority himself. This reflects a Jewish worldview of hierarchical authority and relational sonship rather than the Greek metaphysical notions of equality in essence that developed later.

The third explanation—that Jesus shares the Father’s divine nature ontologically—introduces a fundamental tension with Jesus’ own words, such as “the Father is greater than I” and his dependence on the Father in all things. If Jesus were God by nature in the same way the Father is, many of these statements would be either meaningless or contradictory. Similarly, the idea that the Son inherits divine nature presupposes that it was not eternally possessed but granted or received, which again aligns better with the first explanation of functional authority and relational sonship.

The very necessity of Jesus and Paul repeatedly clarifying their distinctness from the Father and Jesus’ dependence suggests that the first explanation is the original belief they held and taught. If the Son were truly equal by nature or essence, such clarifications would be moot. It is quite plausible that the early Church’s first understanding—relational, functional sonship with exalted authority granted by the Father—was not fully grasped or was overlooked by the Council of Nicaea and subsequent theologians. Immersed in Hellenistic philosophy, the bishops at Nicaea interpreted Scripture through a Greek metaphysical lens, emphasizing ontology and essence over relational function and obedience. This led to the development of the doctrine of consubstantiality, homoousios, and the ontological Trinity, which redefined Jesus’ relationship to the Father in ways that departed from the Jewish worldview underlying Jesus’ and Paul’s original teachings.

The Greek philosophical framework prioritized “what something is” over “how something functions or relates,” encouraging an understanding of God as an eternal, unchanging essence, rather than a dynamic, relational being. As a result, the biblical portrayal of the Father as sovereign and the Son as obedient and exalted agent became overshadowed by a metaphysical system of co-equal persons sharing one divine essence. This shift, while aiming for doctrinal unity, may have obscured the original and simpler relational truths about Jesus’ sonship and dependence.

Paul himself was deeply critical of worldly wisdom, which he saw as foolishness compared to God’s wisdom. He called for the destruction of “arguments and lofty opinions raised against the knowledge of God” (2 Corinthians 10:5) and emphasized that the wisdom of God is revealed in Christ crucified—a stumbling block to human reasoning and philosophy. The sophisticated Greek philosophical systems that later shaped Christian doctrine could be seen as an example of the “worldly wisdom” Paul sought to dismantle, replacing God’s revealed truth with human intellectual constructs.

Paul’s mission was precisely to tear down false human wisdom and reveal God’s truth, even when it ran counter to prevailing cultural and intellectual norms. He preached a Christology that emphasized obedience, dependence, and the paradox of divine power shown through weakness, not metaphysical equality or shared essence. This tension between God’s revealed wisdom and human philosophy remains a crucial dynamic in Christian theology and challenges believers to discern carefully between the two.

In sum, the repeated clarifications by Jesus and Paul regarding the Son’s subordination and dependence on the Father, the Jewish context of relational sonship, and the biblical analogy of Pharaoh and Joseph all point to an original understanding of Jesus as exalted agent but not equal by nature. The later Hellenistic reinterpretations—while formative for orthodox Trinitarian doctrine—likely overlooked or transformed this foundational belief. Recognizing this helps to recover a fuller appreciation of the biblical witness and Paul’s call to replace human wisdom with the profound truth of God revealed in Christ.

Revival

Pentecostal Holy Spirit of the Azuza Street revival led to openness to African Christian forms of worship and the sending of many gospel preachers to bring many Africans into the church. The Holy Spirit comes especially at pivotal moments in Christian history to preside over and seal church intentions according to the will of God.  The preaching of the gospel to more of the world and bringing of believers into the global church signifies the end drawing near.

Rest

War starts. But rest is found in the awareness that Jesus is fully suited as human to mediate with the Father.

No scholarly consensus is beyond question

Could the modern scholars be wrong about the Book of Enoch? No scholarly consensus is beyond question, and the history of religious thought is filled with examples where consensus was later overturned. The Book of Enoch, long dismissed by many modern academics, stands at the center of such a controversy. Often treated as a curious relic of Second Temple Judaism, 1 Enoch is typically filed under apocalyptic literature or mythological speculation—useful for historical context but devoid of theological weight. But this reductionist approach, one that strips ancient texts of spiritual authority in favor of rational categorization, reflects more about the biases of modern scholarship than about the integrity or value of the text itself.

The Book of Enoch presents a view of the cosmos rich with divine agency, angelic hierarchies, cosmic conflict, and a preexistent Son of Man who judges the wicked and vindicates the righteous. These are not fringe notions in Christianity; they are central themes echoed throughout the New Testament. Yet scholars often sideline 1 Enoch, not because it lacks thematic resonance or historical influence, but because of commitments—sometimes explicit, often assumed—to secular, naturalistic worldviews. Such commitments cannot help but color interpretations, leading scholars to downplay or dismiss texts that speak too clearly of the supernatural. In doing so, they may be underestimating ancient religious wisdom while overestimating their own objectivity.

The Gospels themselves seem to suggest Jesus viewed the Book of Enoch not merely as literature but as theological truth. His description of angels, his teachings on the resurrection, and especially his consistent use of the term "Son of Man" mirror language and concepts directly found in Enoch. When Jesus told the Sadducees that those who rise from the dead will be "like the angels in heaven" (e.g., Matthew 22:30), he echoed 1 Enoch’s portrayal of the resurrected. In confronting elite interpreters of the Law, He did not hesitate to bypass traditional authorities and align Himself with what could be considered suppressed or marginal texts. That Jesus embodied roles and titles most clearly laid out in 1 Enoch—cosmic judge, preexistent Son, vanquisher of evil—should prompt more than a passing acknowledgment from scholars. It suggests Jesus functionally treated 1 Enoch as sacred scripture, and theological truth.

The early Church seemed to agree. The theme of a preexistent Christ, active in creation and judgment, appears repeatedly in apostolic writings. The Gospel of John opens by describing the Logos as the one through whom all things were made—language eerily reminiscent of 1 Enoch 48, which declares that the Son of Man was named before the stars, before the sun, and even before creation itself. Colossians and Hebrews affirm that this Son sustains the universe and reflects the Father’s glory—core themes not developed in Genesis or Exodus, but in Enoch. If the early Christians saw Christ through the lens of 1 Enoch, why should modern interpreters be so quick to discard it?

The rejection of 1 Enoch as canon is frequently defended on procedural grounds—it wasn’t included in the final Jewish canon, and it’s only officially recognized by the Ethiopian Church. Yet these arguments, while valid historically, are not theologically decisive. They reflect a certain intellectual scaffolding that emerged long after the earliest followers of Jesus were already drawing from its theology. The content of Enoch matches Christian doctrine too closely to be mere coincidence. Preexistent Messiah, divine judgment, cosmic war, the delight of God in His chosen Son—all these ideas are fully developed in Enoch before they appear in the New Testament. To dismiss 1 Enoch is, in a real sense, to risk severing Christianity from the soil in which it was planted.

This disconnect is not merely academic—it is spiritual. For many believers, the Book of Enoch still speaks with the voice of divine revelation, and its dismissal feels like yet another chapter in a long history of silencing inconvenient truths. The pattern is familiar: religious and intellectual authorities marginalizing those voices which do not conform to their categories. Jesus Himself experienced this firsthand. His teachings, too mystical or radical for the religious elite, were branded heresy. If He drew upon the theology of Enoch, then its rejection by institutional authorities mirrors the broader suppression of supernatural faith.

Indeed, to dismiss the Book of Enoch is to risk participating in what might be called “the murder of God”—a symbolic but powerful phrase describing the tendency of institutions, whether religious or academic, to extinguish the living voice of divine truth whenever it threatens their authority or challenges their framework. This isn't merely the oversight of a forgotten text; it's part of a broader movement to replace revelation with reason, spirit with structure, mystery with management. To question 1 Enoch is legitimate. But to dismiss it without recognizing its influence on the foundational doctrines of Christianity is not only unwise—it borders on intellectual and spiritual negligence.

In the end, 1 Enoch endures. It has survived rejection, marginalization, and scholarly condescension. Its truths remain embedded in the New Testament, in the language of Jesus, and in the theological architecture of the early Church. For those with ears to hear and eyes to see, the Book of Enoch still speaks. It reminds us that divine revelation is not always found where institutions say it should be, and that sometimes, the truest scriptures are the ones the world tries hardest to forget.

The Truth: Introduction

In the twentieth century considerable attention was given by archaeologists to a newly discovered period of history which was called the Chalcolithic Age (meaning Copper-Stone Age). It was dated between the Stone and Bronze Ages and its origins seem to have been in the Levant region of the Middle East (the area now consisting of Syria, Lebanon and Israel). The age encompassed the protoliterate period of Mesopotamia and the predynastic times of Egypt and was marked by remarkable and little understood advances in many aspects of culture and technology and by the sudden appearance and disappearance of these innovations.

These things clearly match what was spoken of in the writings available to us as The Book of Enoch, a book which, though little known, is readily available. Through this book and its correspondence with facts from archaeology, the reality of spiritual beings has now become clearly apparent and even provable, albeit to the well informed. The book has come down to us today in the ancient Ethiopian ("Ethiopic") Canon of Scripture. Ancient fragments of it have been found among the Dead Sea Scrolls and it was referred to by the apostle Jude in the New Testament writings.  There are now copies of it in various places on the Internet.

The Truth: Preface

I believe it to be a key to knowledge, to place proper reliance on the testimonies of those whose dependability is to be held in high esteem as a matter of faith, religion and morality. My own experience of manifestation of The Creator's spirit has caused me to believe to a great extent that the writings of the books we collectively call the Book of Enoch are true as coming from the same truthful spirit. I am also convinced that any false writer pretending much later to be Enoch would scarcely have been able to write of this particular time in history and create a book in such agreement with the findings of recent archaeology. Some scholars have written otherwise of Scriptural books so I apologise in advance for not quoting or accommodating their views. My aim here is to discuss the deductions that may be made from the contents of certain ancient books when one gives them due credence and to send out a wake-up call to the world in the light of these writings and their implications.

To any who find themselves able to give some credence to my conclusions and the contents of the books from which I draw them, I would very much recommend the Second Book of Enoch. The content of the latter is astounding to the open, believing mind, including a description of the acts of creation of the universe (including a sort of 'Big Bang') right from the lips of the Creator Himself and a description of the appearance of the physical manifestation of His being. Furthermore, it provides  precious light on the future of mankind and in great clarity the way to live to survive the judgment to come. I could hardly sleep the night I found that it even contained information from the Creator Himself sufficient, together with the testimony of the other Scriptural books, to allow the approximate calculation of the time of the End of the World as we know it (no, not the year 2000!). [see Chronology of The Elect]

The Truth: The Time of Ancient Encounters

The writings actually tell us the exact time in history quite precisely when the book's events occurred, given corresponding data from this and other ancient historic writings: it was in the time of the author's father Jared, which dates it to around  3400 BC. At this time, we are told, 200 powerful angelic creatures, advised by one named Azazel, conspired, having been sent to this planet, to take human women as wives from among men. In so doing they brought into the human world information which, far from helping humanity, was harmful to such an extent that it led to almost a complete destruction of the inhabited planet Earth.

It is unfortunate that archaeological deductions often depend on other peoples' misfortunes, but these developments and destructions enable us to link this time with archaeological discoveries of startling similarity. The discoveries all relate to the historical period called the Chalcolithic or Copper Stone Age (sometimes just called the Copper Age). Personally, I can only believe with greater and greater certainty, that the times described in the book and the period discovered by archaeologists are one and the same.

The Book of Enoch refers to the introduction to Stone Age people in the north of Palestine of alien technologies by angelic beings, in particular the ability to make strange new types of metal alloys and objects from ore. I write on the premise that this was the Chalcolithic Age because of the sudden appearance among Stone Age humans in Palestine of a culture marked especially by highly sophisticated metal working techniques. Both in archaeologically based histories and in the writings of Enoch the age was marked

by new metal working technologies (accredited in the latter to sorcery),
by new practices of indisputably magic and violent nature
and by the consequent destruction of more and more communities until little remained of their entire society worldwide.

In the following I examine the deductions that may be made about this time from the writings themselves.

The technologies and violence of the Copper or Chalcolithic Age probably lasted up until around 2600 to 2500 BC when the Great Flood brought it to a sharp halt. Besides the Chalcolithic Age, the writings may include some of the end of the Stone Age and the beginning of the Bronze Age. In any case it would seem from this book that the whole period lasted about seven hundred years and covered the latter part of the 4th and first half of the 3rd Millennium BC (c 3300 to 2600 BC).

The time of the actual writing of the Book of Enoch must have spanned a period starting about 3290 BC, at the time when the main author, Enoch, started to write and wrote down his dreams. It continued to some time between about 2570 BC and 2200 BC when his great-grandson wrote of his meeting with Enoch and of the ensuing Flood. It therefore covered about a thousand years and on average the writing may have antedated the events described by a century or so. These and other writings clearly state that the people in those times lived up to a thousand years and that the main author had become immortal before he wrote most of his contributions. (Archaeologists inform us that skeletal remains from this and any time are not easy to give ages to when the person was old when they died.) The original editing of the books was by the first author, probably, it seems, during the year he was given to instruct his family around 2930 BC (+/- 10 years). Further editing must have taken place after his great-grandson added his contribution. It is not evident that much editing has occurred since then.

Dates here are based on the wealth of overlaps between the Book of Enoch and Hebrew Scripture chronologies, dating the latter from the end of the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem, taking this as 587 BC [see chronology]. This chronology has been recently updated after the author read the Book of Jubilees and found it to contain authenticating spiritual and historical details and a complete set of angelically given absolute dates up to the Exodus (which other Scriptures date to around 1458 BC - the account of the time of the building of the Temple relative to the Exodus and entry into Canaan). (Back)

The conclusion that the writings are historically accurate, (albeit that ancient history itself, as we otherwise have it, is therefore inaccurate in part) leads to the insight that there is soon to come an end of the present age of rule by earthlings of our planet and that there will be a millennium of peaceful outside rule starting, it appears, not in 2000 AD, as many thought, but exactly 6000 years after the beginning of man's history which by calculations based on these same writings and others of similar vein, subject matter and source (Second Book of Enoch, the Book of Jubilees and the other writings of Hebrew and Christian Scriptures) puts it sometime in the 22nd Century AD! Daniel's prophecy (chapter 8) puts it 2300 years (referred to as 'days', just as seven and seventy year periods are referred to as 'weeks') after an event which happened in 168 BC i.e. 2133 AD - which agrees exactly with the Book of Jubilees' year 6000 AM (AM = Anno Mundi = years since the beginning of the Earth).   There will then follow the Eighth Millennium in which time will be no more and when judgment and reward will be absolute and eternal, for earthling and non-earthling alike. [see chronology]

Truth: The Location of Ancient Encounters

The events described obviously centre around a location somewhere in the Middle East. The angels came to human women somewhere in the vicinity of Mount Hermon and Dan in what is today northern Israel and southern Syria and Lebanon.

This is the same sort of area where finds identifying the period archaeologists called the Copper Stone Age were discovered in the 20th century AD. The book shows that angels stayed some time in the region around Tell Dan north of Galilee, since Enoch was twice sent to find them there. The primitive angelic secrets taught to women in that area then spread far and wide, and led to unprecedented violence and destruction. The books testify to this and archaeology confirms that 'technological' advances spread from the area all over the Fertile Crescent and beyond and soon after followed widespread violence and destruction.

Much of the Middle East seems to have been described in Enoch's books - perhaps areas around the Nile Delta and the Tigris, Euphrates and Persian Gulf. The location of the Garden of Righteousness seems to be, in keeping with Babylonian texts, the land then called Edin or Eden between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates in Mesopotamia (now in Iraq). Here may have been the place from which Enoch ascended and where the righteous lived. This ties in with other ancient writings which tell us that Noah was a king of a city Shurrapak in that area. This leaves more than one possibility about the location of the desert in which has been confined the angel to whom all sin has been attributed, Azazel. The Book of Leviticus refers to the practice, while the early Israelites were near Midyan, of sending their scapegoat into the desert "to Azazel" implying that the Saudi Arabian desert was where the angel was held. Indeed the name of the area is given as the desert of Dudael, which is reminiscent of Dedan, an historical oasis in Saudi Arabia, now called Al Uli, near the area called Midyan.

There is one passage however, which tells us that the desert was that which was east of the Garden of Righteousness. It seems likely that the Garden was in the Fertile Crescent rather than elsewhere. Other sources point to at least Noah living in Mesopotamia. The Garden was "where the righteous dwell" which implies that there was an area known for being the main habitation of righteous families (probably this included Enoch's family). Perhaps it could be that the desert east of the Levant (Israel, Lebanon, etc.) is where Azazel has been imprisoned, or perhaps it is that east of Iraq. There is some evidence in the book that the garden was further east, maybe somewhere near India, China or Mongolia.

For Noah, Enoch was known to have gone to region of the heavens (the sky) at "the ends of the earth". If Noah was with righteous people in the vicinity of the pre-Flood Sumerian cities in what is now southern Iraq (Shurrapak, Uruk, Ur, Eridu, etc.) then the region of Dan and Mount Hermon would have been "at the ends of the earth" i.e. at the other end of the Fertile Crescent . The latter appears to have been a main area of human habitation in the Stone Age and early Copper Stone Age. There is other evidence that it was further north, say somewhere as far north as Siberia (the comparative day/night lengths throughout the year given in the book are characteristic of somewhere about 50° North and this would tie in with the evidence that the garden was in the north east). However, we are again brought back to a possibility of the area called Dedan or Al Uli in Saudi Arabia, since we are told that Enoch ascended from a wilderness area called Duidain.

There are associations in the book of the desert burial sites of the fallen angels with seven mountains bearing metal deposits including lead, tin, gold, silver and iron. Indeed the Saudis have found very rich deposits of all such metals in the vicinity of the desert south of Midyan and Al Uli. Volcanic activity seems to be implied in the book and these areas are indeed igneous. There might be the possibility that the true mountain 'Sinai' to which The Creator descended is close to or in this area, since the books' accounts link it to such mountains and there is the Old Testament link with Midyan and the Red Sea.

Truth: Light Shed by The Books on Specific Areas of Archaeological Interest

The Truth about Bethsheva and Palestine

Archaeologists have discovered that one of the major sites of the metal work that marks the Copper Stone Age was the Bethsheva valley in southern Palestine. Here there were many villages that took on a lot of the work of making metal objects for the people far and wide. The writings relate that these objects, sold to humans everywhere, were one of the most destructive influences on society since they were made by a kind of sorcery and included idols, weapons and objects for magical use. [For this reason Azazel, the being responsible for their introduction, was judged most severely.]

This is in accord with the finds of metal objects, especially a horde found in a cave in Nahal Mishmar which included many weapons and possibly magic-related objects that had not been found from previous times. Another type of object made was metal jewellery which, the writings tell us, was one of several developments (including makeup) for the beautifying of say, girls of already very comely appearance, leading to greater and greater degrees of immorality and disorder.

Then there were attacks from the monstrous offspring which were a cross between the man-like angels and the human women. There is also the strong suggestion of the latter drinking blood from animals (possibly the origin of vampire legends) and sinning against animals in other ways including use for sorcery and sodomy. Eventually the Creator sent angels to make the various kinds of monstrous hybrid offspring fight each other in order to wipe them out and to punish their angelic fathers. From these offspring, when they died, emanated spirits that became the demons of the earth, causing yet more trouble among humans who they hated. All this would explain in part why the people of Bethsheva are found to have dug burrows beneath their homes, probably to evade attacks just as people have often done in times of war today. Many of the people were eventually killed in fighting too after about 2900 BC, since not only had Azazel taught the art of making metals and weapons but, the writings tell us, along with another angel, had taught the arts of warfare too.

(A note in passing that a recent film mistakenly portrays Azazel as a demon when, in the information we have, demons are the spirits of the ill-born, earthly spawn of the likes of Azazel with human mothers, whereas Azazel is an immortal being of former greatness and heavenly origins, subsequently held beneath a Middle Eastern desert. The actions ascribed to demons could scarcely be ascribed to angels, even fallen ones, though the latter's actions might be held responsible for the former's existence. Maybe even film directors and script writers should beware of misrepresenting angelic beings of great dignity, albeit fallen ones.)

At some point the humans might have heard of a preaching of righteousness coming from the east and perhaps a warning of an impending catastrophe in which all but a few would be saved. Much of their lives may have been very similar to the lives of many today, albeit with frequent times of war. Suddenly, around 2570 BC came geological catastrophes that killed all survivors from these times, leaving no-one to carry on the same sinister sorcery into the Bronze Age. This would explain the thick layer of mud still covering many of the Chalcolithic sites in southern Palestine. Archaeological findings attest too that there came a time just after the Chalcolithic Age when the settlements completely vanished. At last for a while, perhaps about 50 years, there was a deathly kind of peace - not even a single animal to break the stillness of the devastated landscape until the creatures spread out again from the east.

The new humans, when they eventually came, after at least 150 years, brought with them a new Mesopotamian culture but the Bronze Age that was to follow was soon displaying new wickedness that grew and grew again through the following millennium. Other writings (Book of Jubilees) inform us that it was the demon spirits of the monsters of the previous age that taught humans the wickedness again. The Creator had caused most but not all of them to be imprisoned.

Any good news then? The Christian Scriptures which inform us that the spirits of those people who perished in the catastrophe were, two and a half millennia later, among the recipients of Christ's preaching through the Spirit which raised him to life after he had been crucified in the flesh. Even after death there is a resurrection.

Aside on the history of demons and world evils:

the Book of Jubilees relates that there were many more demons originally after the Flood than presumably there are today, but that the Creator, rather than removing all of them far from humankind, allowed 10 % of them to remain and protected humanity from the diseases produced by the demons by having an angel teach Noah the arts of using plants to make medicines. This implies that diseases are generally produced by demons through their control of living creatures and that humans find cures by angelic inspiration. A further interesting lesson from the same book is that the animal kingdom's being "red in tooth and claw" originates not from its creation but from the time of the original corruption of life on Earth by the fallen angels and demons around 3000 BC and perhaps from the subsequent corruption that followed the Flood around 2400 BC and later.

The Truth about Predynastic Egypt and The Mediterranean

Here there is ample evidence that the technological advances from the north of Palestine spread as far south as Egypt where there were some small settlements. Here were archaeological finds of palettes for tincture used, the book tells us, to beautify the eyelids. These palettes were made of slate and carved beautifully with pictures of humans, animals and monsters and the beginnings of pictographic writings can also be seen. Writing was another of the angels' introductions, though we are told that they taught to write with pen on paper. In addition to the slate paint palettes there have been found many dolls - perhaps idols or magic-related statues. These help to demonstrate the extent of the spread of the Chalcolithic and late Stone Age cultures because similar dolls have been found as far away as Crete and Cyprus from contemporary times. The general picture is that the same fate befell the pre-dynastic inhabitants of Egypt as befell the people of Palestine.

Similar discoveries elsewhere such as those of Turkey show that in the West there was a general exchange of culture, technology and materials with much trading though there were also particularly local manifestations of the angel-taught magic arts, idolatries and alchemies. The spread of warfare and the peculiar copper-working may even have spread through Europe where the use of the mace as a weapon has been found along with the making of copper axe heads. The evidence of archaeology shows a sudden disappearance of the older metal-using cultures so the book would add to our picture the light that the cultures not only disappeared completely (albeit to reappear in a newer form later when people again spread out to replace the previous inhabitants) but did so through warfare, disease and cataclysmic destruction sent by God because of the evils and terrors and sorceries.

The Truth about Ancient Mesopotamia

Here the picture may be more complex. Here we have the obvious and well documented spread of writing but the Book of Enoch may suggest that it came not from Uruk as supposed but that before it developed into writing on clay in Uruk (as Sumerian and Babylonian writings record) it had already existed in other forms such as writing with ink on some form of paper or parchment elsewhere. This may be evidenced from finds from Europe, particularly from the eerie Vinca culture (the region of which was a home of the vampire legends) where pictographic representations of distinctly magical appearance have been found which are reported to predate Uruk's writing.

Here in the regions which have long been called 'the Land Between the Rivers' or Mesopotamia the written records go back to before the Flood and later records actually record the Flood. From such we find much to corroborate the writings of Enoch and Noah and even to add more information such as that the man who was chosen to survive the Flood had been king of Shurrapak, one of a few main cities of the area then called Sumer. (These and writings of later centuries were the origins of fairy stories lately popularised by the Grim brothers and even Greek myths probably owe some of their content to tales from these times of legend in the making.)

So, Mesopotamia:-

may have been the original home of the writers of the Book of Enoch
it may have been here that those called the righteous and the elect lived (the former included)
as records from the area attest, it may have been at least part of the famous Garden (..of the Righteous, ...of Delights, even ..of Eden).
became the home of writings about that time which later found their way into all kinds of fairy tales, myths and legends, many of which are very familiar to us now and are frequent subjects of films and television tales and even horror stories

If the righteous of the time had their home in Mesopotamia it was still the central in the judgment that befall mankind but the book assures us that after all is said and done, no matter how terrible things get at the time they happen, the fate of the righteous is utterly different in the very end from that of the wicked.

The above and the fact that the area was a center of literacy ( a scribal school from the time after the Flood was found by archaeologists in one of the cities called Shurrapak - the city writings cite as Noah's residence and kingdom ) leads to the conclusion that the original writings of Enoch were held in this vicinity before the Flood and probably afterwards too, since the Semites were centered around this area. Nevertheless, to date, it does not appear that any contemporary copies of them have yet emerged.

The Flood

In Mesopotamia:-

  1. the writings of the Book of Enoch,
  2. other scriptural writings,
  3. almost contemporary records and
  4. the testimony of archaeological finds themselves

all bear witness to the same events (though some would dispute the latter): namely that the Flood occurred in what is now called the third millennium BC.

From archaeology, the time of the Flood can be fixed from the finds of the flood debris and mud in a layer after the time of writing's introduction and the Chalcolithic Age and before the time when buildings first started to be made using kiln-baked bricks and bitumen mortar. This accords with the accounts of almost contemporary records and the Hebrew Scriptures. Recently the date given by modern western historians for this time has been placed more and more recently, as the chronology has changed throughout the twentieth century. (The Babylonian and Egyptian king lists have been notoriously subject to interpretation.) Now the date given by historians has almost settled to a couple of centuries before that given above but the matter is still open to debate.

With regard to the flood layers found by archaeologists at many sites, the picture became blurred somewhat in the twentieth century when the layer at Ur was first categorically declared to be evidence of the Flood then later refuted on the evidence that it predated the Flood's date given by literature. However, other cities were found to have layers of Flood deposits all at the same time in their histories as each other but later than that of Ur. The datings of these layers coincided with the time of the Flood from written records. These cities were quite far apart, pointing to not just a local seaside flood (as at Ur where the sea boundary easily changed position).

Here is some reasoning:

if the first sites rebuilt after a Great Flood were built on top of the mud left by the Flood and
if there was a considerable delay before further and further sites were also rebuilt so that more time was given for mud and other debris or evidence to be eroded,
then the sites with the most obvious flood layers and evidence of a flood would be those first built

such is the case.

Such areas would have the mud layer preserved under the buildings while mud around about might be eroded away. Areas further away (such as Europe) would show most evidence of a discontinuity of settlement. This may broadly be the case.

All this seems to lend great credence to not only the reports of the Flood and its extent but also to the dates for it apparent in the Enochian and other Scriptural accounts. This in turn adds more credence to the authenticity and reliability of these writings which, again, adds more reason to take the whole matter of the implications of the content of the writings seriously.

The True Nature and Extent of the Flood

To this picture of the Flood's historicity, the Book of Enoch provides information about its nature. It was not just a flood (the extent of which would barely be global) but a whole series of geological and aquatic upheavals. Firstly the combination of atmospheric down-pouring and geological releases of underground water reservoirs filled up with water a low-lying area surrounded by mountains. The water level rose until it actually breached the mountain walls. This would naturally have resulted in continental, or even global, tidal waves such as might occur with a comet's collision. With this would have been combined further ground upheavals and there may too have been successive volcanic eruptions throughout the world. Maybe the whole earth surface would have suffered faulting and from this may have come some of the many geological clines and anticlines. Just as would be conceivable with a comet's collision, all major land-life was destroyed, except for the creatures held in an ark with a man named Noah. A limited amount of water was put to maximum destructive effect. The earth, from the accounts given, may even have shifted on its axis ("the foundations of the earth were shaken", etc.).

As stated above, physical evidence shows that something destroyed settlements everywhere, at this time, probably in addition to the widespread wars and destructions of settlements locally. But this could even have been as far away as Britain (where long-barrow builders suddenly disappeared then round-barrow builders took their place). In some areas the dates given for resettlement have been applied to the disappearance of the first settlers but this may cloud the facts since the resettling is easier to detect and therefore to date than the initial desolation. One site where the Chalcolithic period's disappearance was clearly followed with the deposition of a layer of sediment was in Bulgaria, where post-Chalcolithic settlements appeared on top of the sedimentary soils. Then there were the sites in Palestine as mentioned above. The flood accounts have this in common, only one family survived and from that one family came all the peoples of the world. The nature of the Flood would appear to have destroyed the entire planet and not just a portion of Mesopotamia as some suppose. It would have entailed complete changes of some geographical areas, perhaps even partly flattening some mountainous regions while creating new mountains from plains with ground uplifts and volcanic eruptions. Nowhere, except the ark would have been safe, and the latter only by divine instruction to the angels as the book suggests.

The Truth about the Golan Heights, Hermon, Dan and the Banks of Lake Hula

Here we have an area known to have had major settlements in the Stone Age especially leading up to the Chalcolithic Age and here we have an area mentioned several times in the writings of Enoch and of great significance to the events described. It is here that the earliest dates appear for Chalcolithic finds and from this area dates for earliest finds become later and later showing gradual introduction of the culture to areas further and further away over a period of decades*. All this supports the conclusion that this area was indeed the origin of the developments called the Chalcolithic Age. The lake or sea to which the book refers, which was near to Dan (probably the site now called Tel Dan) no longer exists that far up the valley north of the present Lake Hula but in Stone Age and Chalcolithic times it stretched from its present location right to the north of the plain it occupies, amid the mountains which include Hermon to the north, with the Golan Heights nearby. All this is in the south of Lebanon and Syria and the north of Israel. The non-existence of the sea-side in the north of the Hula Valley in more recent history makes the authenticity of the Book of Enoch easier to believe since the fact of its existence that far north would probably not have been known with certainty centuries after the time of which it speaks.

So what light does the book shed on this area at the time? Here came erring angelic beings on a misbegotten quest to find beautiful wives and produce misbegotten children by them. Because of the Satanic teachings they brought with them, to this time God has apparently charged that all sin be attributed, (at least as much as to the fall of Eve five hundred years earlier). To one individual among his "Sons" he has attributed the evil in particular, to the one whose council apparently prompted the atrocity in the first place or at least gave momentum to it, Azazel. He did not lead the angels - another angel did that. They are not to be identified too closely with Satan, in that none of them are actually him, but their sinful behaviour puts them into association with his kingdom as in doing what they did they placed themselves in submission to his control. It was an evil time in history and the ripples of it have continued ever since in the wickedness that resulted from the introduction to mankind of their unholy teachings. Here we have the origins of magic, witchcraft and sorcery among humans as a revealing to humans of the secrets of Satan himself (either by his having then been in heaven to impart them to the angels or by the fact that their being given to humans is closely related to the furtherance of his domain).

* Note: The book would suggest or necessitate a greater and greater truncation of dates such as carbon dates the further back in history one goes - perhaps due to a rapid increase in carbon 14 from nothing to present levels over a period of about a thousand years. There would at least be warrant for re-calibrating the dating methods, were scientists to accept the dates, say from the Book of Jubilees (highly unlikely, I suppose!). (back

So how did all this manifest itself in our space and time?

Hermon gives evidence by its central position among the earliest magical finds, which ties in with the evidence of Enoch's account. The Golan Heights have been sited as the site of earliest examples of finds of carved pictures relating to astrology, apparently from this time.

What is especially visible here is the contrast between the innocence of the Stone Age, e.g. the period called Natufian, and possibly the later Stone Age and following as the teachings of evil were introduced and took hold. So the Stone Age, at least its early stages, Enoch's writings suggest, was a time when righteousness was still in the earth. Here we find a quiet people living innocently in the valley of the vicinity of Dan, beneath the mountains all around. The comparative innocence is especially apparent from the evidence of burials. There is little or no evidence of strange magical objects or practices associated with the bodies of the deceased. Animals were buried it seems without ritual or sacrifice to the human deceased. Jewellery has been found which may demonstrate that the type introduced later was different or that the times of wrong teaching had already begun. The lives of people still appear to have been quiet at this stage so if the bad times had begun they had not yet become very bad. There were some makings of the dolls found abundantly later but the use of metals was probably still limited to the rare use of soft native metals and hard meteoritic iron to make a few objects without symbolism or magic. At some point in this time, Enoch tells us, people started to live together differently, perhaps as the first permanent settlements were made. Then, into this scene came the first of two types of supernatural event in the Hermon area.

Truth: Supernatural Events in the Hermon Area

The True Problem

Would we know anything about the causative events from archaeology alone? It appears that on this occasion the invisibility to humanity comes from the superficial normality of the event - a warning to us all. There was the appearance of someone to a woman in the Hermon area who probably looked just like any human man. There are, we are told, angels that at times look like fire, (perhaps similar to the appearance of the Glory of God Himself, as described by the prophet Ezekiel and the Second Book of Enoch - and maybe this is why some angels are called "Sons of God") but who can also look like men (like the appearance of Gabriel when he visited Daniel and other accounts of angelic visitations where angels are described as men). When appearing as men an angel of a certain kind does not look distinguishable from a man. (I know of no evidence that an angel ever appeared as a woman.) So there was this occasion of an apparent man and a real Stone Age woman. There were more such occasions to follow after the first man-like person advised the rest of a group of 200 who, unbeknown to human observers like us, appeared atop Mount Hermon. That was the beginning of the end for all the perpetrators of the acts to follow and for the whole world of humanity living at the time. It was the start of the First End. And before that end we find there was evil after evil after evil for almost a thousand years. It was to be the first global-scale release of the secrets of Satan to the children of men and women as evidenced in the finds of all the magic objects and weapons and strangely cunning devices of technology and the terrible increase in remains found of people who suffered violent death: then the sudden disappearance of all traces of the same societies anywhere in the world.

So in the area of the Golan Heights, Lake Hula and Mount Hermon around 3400 BC and onwards there was a gradual revelation of:-

divination,
alchemy (metallurgy by sorcery which was especially practiced further south),
idolatry and demon worship (perhaps as evidenced in new burial customs),
writing out of beliefs (causing heartaches for anyone concerned with preserving truth since much of what was written was far from true and truth was substituted with novels and contrary opinions and quoting of each other rather than prophesying from God),
astrology,
eye painting for beautification,
witchcraft,
weaponry,
martial arts,
abortion,
sodomy,
wearing of jewellery for beautification and allurement,
many other kinds of sorcery which were actively sought after as so many people caught the bug for all this stuff. This was the world of the Chalcolithic Age. Later in history it became the norm for other ages too, just as had been foreknown and foretold.
A True Hero

But a second supernatural event happened in the same area about 450 years after the first (around 2930 BC). This too was invisible to us but this time by virtue of holy, unearthly power. It started not in the sky this time, nor on Mount Hermon, but possibly hundreds of miles to the east where a man who had seen the future in dreams and had been learning the art of writing and wrote down what he saw, this man disappeared.

[The Book of Enoch provides us with information about this that many would find unbelievable since it relates to the invisible. I will still relate it as fact since the purpose here is to consider not what may be believed but the consequent knowledge to be gained by believing, as it enlightens our understanding of the findings of the archaeologists about this Chalcolithic Age.]

This man, a prophet, had been transformed into an angelic immortal and removed from the earth to the sky where he had been shown things as angels see them. He then visited the Hula area, in the middle of the Chalcolithic Age.

(A speculative aside.

Did the people in the Hula region or the rest of the now thoroughly Chalcolithic Palestine know about this man? Their divination and magic may have shown them and the relationships of some of the women to the angels might have led to their hearing of him from those angels and passing the knowledge on to others. People may have heard of him but probably had other far less holy things on their minds like how much to charge or pay for idols or magic tools and how to kill each other. The righteous among them, and it would appear that there might have been some, would have been considering how to escape from being killed, either by mobs or by rampaging blood-drinking semi-humans (hence legends of vampires and giants). There have been many finds in caves of humans having fled there especially in the most inaccessible places and Enoch's writings tell us that those who so fled were on the whole the righteous. Others may have been digging burrows underground. All that could prepare them for the catastrophic Death to come was their continuance to do right and their faith in God who could raise them to life after death some day soon - as Enoch evidently wrote.)

This righteous man visited the fallen man-like angels where they had remained near Lake Hula and Dan. He told them that the very Lord of Spirits had condemned them forever; and he told them why: because through their sin (immortal angels should have no need to procreate so should harbour no such desire for women) and the teachings they had passed on to humans, all the world would have to be destroyed. This too was part of  Chalcolithic history but a hidden part, known only because of what Enoch wrote and handed on to human-kind to hand down to their offspring, especially among the righteous.

We are now occupied with the invisible events of the Chalcolithic Age. The events of this time particularly concerned beings which we cannot see: the most powerful of these are charged with ruling over the control of planetary and stellar movements and the like, with keeping souls and spirits, and maintaining the spirit world and the visible planet earth as well as ruling over the various kinds of heavenly entities. In supreme Lordship over all these is a spirit who created them all and ourselves who we call God and, Enoch tells us, as do many others including the person Himself, there is the Elect One, a "Son of Man" so righteous that he is put over absolutely everything else. In the time of The Chalcolithic Age punishments were metered out by The Lord of Spirits to the errant beings then near Hermon, which were so sever that we are told that the other most powerful spirits (archangels) at the time were staggered, especially the archangel Michael, known particularly for his kind disposition (it's comforting to know that one the universe's most powerful beings has a kind disposition and hates the thought of someone being punished for eternity). Eternal punishment in fire is something to be aghast at but that is the edict of the Lord of Spirits for the kind of sin of which the immortal beings were guilty. The spirit-like man was sent to the man-like spirits to tell them their end having been given audience to the very Lord of Spirits Himself. This punishment would be deferred till the distant future (70 generations) but in the mean time Azazel would be confined to a place beneath a desert called Dudain (probably Saudi Arabia) and the other spirits to places beneath the earth's "valleys".

Truth: Wise Men From the East

Some further events later in the Chalcolithic Age may have happened in the same part of northern Israel. We are told they happened "at the ends of the earth" where Enoch was, so this may have been still in the Lake Hula area. There were two visits of surviving relatives of this man to him as a result of their being troubled by events around them and to seek his counsel. Most of the information so far has been about evil and death. Now we can consider some of the events that brought righteousness and life. The visits would hardly be expected to have been evident from archaeology but amazingly their effects are indeed visible and from those meetings we now have something actually akin to minutes in the form of the very books here being discussed.

The meetings happened around 2900 BC and they resulted in some parts of the books being written. The events which followed are not only found in this book but in all sorts of Scriptures and writings from all over the world in almost every religion as they concern righteousness and salvation from death (physical and eternal). The evidence from archaeology is found in the fact that a few survived the destructions of the Chalcolithic Age so that we still have a repopulating of the entire earth in the Ages that followed (or we wouldn't be here to know it!). The following examination necessitates religious language since it brings us to a conclusion in line with the purpose of enlightenment. Here indeed is our much needed light which this book does shed on the events of the Age. But it also sheds light on every other Age and on how to live our lives - hence the incorporation of the details into every written body of religious and didactic literature. The matter concerns what was passed between this man and his son and later great-grandson. This became much of the book that was passed down to their children and eventually to people today for the benefit of those in the Chalcolithic Age especially but also of people seeking life and righteousness ever since.

The Conclusion of The Truth

What could be so important and potent that it meant the difference between darkness / death and light / life and could be incorporated into a book passed from a man who without dying had become an immortal spirit and lived among spirits to his righteous, kingly great-grandson?

There were evidently things going on in this Chalcolithic Age which were better than all the magical innovations and violent deaths and destructions. There was being passed around something by word of mouth between outstandingly righteous people. It seems that in the darkest times can live the most light giving people (albeit just a few) and that is what it seems was happening in Chalcolithic Palestine and Mesopotamia. What was being passed was something we would all do well to realise existed then and still survives today. Indeed it is our one duty, all of us, to do so (and we learn that everything living or otherwise has to do so on pain of the very eternal death described previously). It was the words that had come from the very mouth of the Lord of Spirits Himself and among those words something supremely important that anyone and anything risks forfeiting everything forever to disregard: His Commands.

The commands of the Creator were and are to be followed and obeyed if anyone would hope to escape the same fate that will befall the fallen angels themselves. The chosen, righteous  Son of Man, referred to by Enoch over and over in the Book of Enoch, later became known to people throughout the world by his angel-given name Jesus the Christ or Messiah. He said to everyone who listens that his teachings were always first and foremost the commands of God since these were and are what lead to eternal life rather than eternal death. Through the faith that comes from Lord Jesus' teaching and the authority and grace that God gives him to sustain all things in their proper orders and to save humans who believe, we can rest assured of his promise to raise our mortal bodies quite soon, if necessary from death, and give them life that is immortal forever. To procure and prove this, God His Father raised Him to Life after He was put to death just outside Jerusalem in Roman times. His Spirit now manifests Himself and passes to humans who believe and obey Christ the things that come from Christ, that the Father gives Him: which is how these things are known, as they are also through Scriptures read with faith leading to salvation.

Appendix: The truth about the hidden power of the Son of Man's name

Extracts from The Book of Parables by Enoch and The Book of Noah

Translated by R.H. Charles

Observe ye everything that takes place in the heaven, how they do not change their orbits, and the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they all rise and set in order each in its season, and transgress not against their appointed order. Behold ye the earth, and give heed to the things which take place upon it from first to last, how steadfast they are, how none of the things upon earth change, but all the works of God appear to you. Behold the summer and the winter, how the whole earth is filled with water, and clouds and dew and rain lie upon it.

Observe ye how the trees cover themselves with green leaves and bear fruit: wherefore give ye heed and know with regard to all His works, and recognize how He that liveth for ever hath made them so. And all His works go on thus from year to year for ever, and all the tasks which they accomplish for Him, and their tasks change not, but according as God hath ordained so is it done. And behold how the sea and the rivers in like manner accomplish and change not their tasks from His commandments'.

But ye -ye have not been steadfast, nor done the commandments of the Lord,
But ye have turned away and spoken proud and hard words
With your impure mouths against His greatness.
Oh, ye hard-hearted, ye shall find no peace.

...

And this is the task of Kasbeel, the chief of the oath which he showed to the holy ones when he dwelt high above in glory, and its name is Biqa. This (angel) requested Michael to show him the hidden name, that he might enunciate it in the oath, so that those might quake before that name and oath who revealed all that was in secret to the children of men. And this is the power of this oath, for it is powerful and strong, and he placed this oath Akae in the hand of Michael.

And these are the secrets of this oath . . .
And they are strong through his oath:
And the heaven was suspended before the world was created,
And for ever.

And through it the earth was founded upon the water,
And from the secret recesses of the mountains come beautiful waters,
From the creation of the world and unto eternity.

And through that oath the sea was created,
And as its foundation He set for it the sand against the time of (its) anger,
And it dare not pass beyond it from the creation of the world unto eternity.

And through that oath are the depths made fast,
And abide and stir not from their place from eternity to eternity.

And through that oath the sun and moon complete their course,
And deviate not from their ordinance from eternity to eternity.

And through that oath the stars complete their course,
And He calls them by their names,
And they answer Him from eternity to eternity.

[And in like manner the spirits of the water, and of the winds, and of all zephyrs, and (their) paths from all the quarters of the winds. And there are preserved the voices of the thunder and the light of the lightnings: and there are preserved the chambers of the hail and the chambers of the hoarfrost, and the chambers of the mist, and the chambers of the rain and the dew. And all these believe and give thanks before the Lord of Spirits, and glorify (Him) with all their power, and their food is in every act of thanksgiving: they thank and glorify and extol the name of the Lord of Spirits for ever and ever.]

And this oath is mighty over them
And through it [they are preserved and] their paths are preserved,
And their course is not destroyed.

And there was great joy amongst them,
And they blessed and glorified and extolled
Because the name of that Son of Man had been revealed unto them.

And he sat on the throne of his glory,
And the sum of judgement was given unto the Son of Man,
And he caused the sinners to pass away and be destroyed from off the face of the earth,
And those who have led the world astray.

With chains shall they be bound,
And in their assemblage-place of destruction shall they be imprisoned,
And all their works vanish from the face of the earth.

 And from henceforth there shall be nothing corruptible;
For that Son of Man has appeared,
And has seated himself on the throne of his glory,
And all evil shall pass away before his face,
And the word of that Son of Man shall go forth

And be strong before the Lord of Spirits.

A recent message given in tongues in a Pentecostal Church was interpreted by both speaker and a hearer to be:

"It is by the authority of the name of the Lord Jesus that the trees put out their buds and grow their leaves..."
