As one who believes in the Father, I have given me significant help from Jesus Christ, especially the prayer I can pray daily, called the Lord’s Prayer. This is an anchor for a daily life of faith in God. Here I can rely on God to be the one power who will not end, even though all powers in the world fade and end, as also the gods of nations faded in the past, and some remaining will fade in future. Even the divine counsel of sons of God in heaven presided over by the Father, many fade eventually, with Jesus remaining and archangels faithful to God staying faithful like Jesus, and increasingly more and more humans like Jesus staying faithful to him, who will reign beside him, even as he reigns beside the Father perpetually. This is all reflected and daily voiced in that Lord’s Prayer, in which the faithful humans are spoken of as family having God as Father, and this Father having the kingdom forever and ever. In addition in Jesus there is the benefit of his cross sacrifice body and blood offering for our sins, and his resurrection Lordship over us as Master of this family, on the Father’s behalf. In the name of Jesus there is also the manifold blessing of the Holy Spirit sent from the Father to touch our lives with grace. God does not leave us unsupported in our life believing in Him. It is all to give us eternal life in Him, if we walk constantly in this blessing of His love. We have each other too. We can confess to each other and help each other in times of distress and emergency, looking out daily for any need to help the other, while giving and receiving daily encouragement from each other. This all is to keep us from becoming hardened in sin, keeping us constant in God’s family. The Bible, as far as we can grasp its lessons, gives us encouragement and direction too. God also gives us grace to amplify that grasp of these lessons, sometimes involving communications from each other, and from those sent to us, along with occasional help from the Holy Spirit. Miracles also contribute to God’s provision for us as His family. Our faith in God can grow from these miracles. Our knowledge of Jesus can grow too, and our daily belief in Jesus should grow too.
