A word to the wise

There is both foreknowledge of God that preceded the conception of the Christ in flesh and the predestination and planning of God even before the foundation of the world. This is as also seen in Revelation 13:8, which states that the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world. The planning seems to be one aspect of the Word revealed in John chapter 1. This foreknowledge and planning seems to be along the lines of the belief of Peter in writing 1 Peter 1:20: “He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you." Peter seems to believe that this planning and foreknowledge is present before the conception as a Spirit of Christ. 1 Peter 1:11 “[prophets of old] trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow.” So the existence of the key events of the life and ministry of Christ also including the rebirth of believers is all there before the conception and even before the foundation of the world, although it takes place in time at specific points in time, such as the conception. This is all mysterious due to the perplexing power of God to see the end from the beginning and to plan and predestine things and people, especially His Son the Christ.
