The Pharisees for a long time taught that there cannot be more than one being called a god, or something like that is what people have been led to believe originally from Pharisees of Post Temple Judaism. I am not a Pharisee nor led by them so for me any number of gods can exist, but only one is the One True God, the Father. But those who follow the blind need to come up with something so they either say Jesus is God or they invent a Trinity.
