Son of David

“A body You have prepared for me.” "The flesh is weak." King David was a very spiritual man. He wrote many very spiritual psalms so full of the Holy Spirit that they occupy a major part of the scriptures. Yet one day his flesh weakness meant he fell for the wife of another man, Bathsheba wife of Uriah the Hittite. But in all other ways, despite being human flesh with that weakness, he was still able to please God even in his ways of the heart, obeying God’s commands in all things throughout all his life. God renewed the right Spirit within David even after David sinned that time. The Word did not possess human weaknesses before becoming flesh. Then, the Most High God sent out the Word, endowing the Word with a body of flesh. The Word willingly took on a body prepared by the Father, entering the realm of flesh, known for its susceptibility to failure due to weakness. And so we have Jesus. The Christ. Jesus is like David, spiritual to the extreme but weak in human flesh, but did not succumb to his weak flesh like David did. Eventually Jesus was even obedient in dying on a cross. Now alive, raised by God from the dead, alive forever, that weakness is gone forever, but he helps weak humans.
