Believe and receive

God is a real spirit being who is not a human being. He says “I am God”. His Son does not say “I am God”. The Holy Spirit does not say “I am God”. It is the Father who says “I am God”. He alone.

By “I am God”, He means God in the ultimate sense: Supreme above all other godlike beings. The Most High God.

This Father who alone is the Most High God, truly good, loving and wise above all, powerful in authority over all, has a knowable character, personality, and ways of showing kindness in His dealings with many people.

This Father commends Jesus as His beloved, chosen Son, whom He sets apart from all others, sending Jesus into the world as the Christ, the one God has anointed to rule in the ways God regards as truly just and pleasing to Him.

Jesus in turn reveals himself as this one commended by God, in acts God gives him to do, with faith in God resulting in what we call miracles, which show us the authority and commendation God has given him over all. Jesus also shows himself to be master over us, empowered by God to have supremacy over our very innermost being, in faithful and true care exercising divine charge over those God has given him, whilst forever exercising authority over all.

This Jesus is just the same today as he was thousands of years ago when he ministered publicly, and lived and died on a cross and rose again by the power of God who sent him. He showed the same knowable character, personality, and ways of showing kindness in dealings with people which can be known in the Father. He taught that he learned it from the Father. His teachings then, as now, are the teachings the Father taught him as the Father’s beloved Son.

The Father who spoke about him from heaven at that time commending Jesus as His chosen and beloved Son, instructed that Jesus be listened to, heeded. The teachings Jesus taught are the saving truths needed to escape the damning wrongdoings from which humans need saving. These teachings, as the Holy Spirit still applies to believers today are especially focussed on leading humans away from their lying, hateful murders, unfaithful marriages, thefts, and other such wrongs. The miracles God gives are God’s witness to these teachings being what is needed by all humans for salvation from ultimate condemnation, and a commendation of Jesus as chosen by God to live out for us the example we need, as well as teaching it as we need to be taught.

We do not do as we ought, and we need to be taught to live as pleases God. Mass surveillance is seen all around today and it is a sign of the wrongdoing. The teachings are needed. The heavenly commandments are still needed. Love towards God and towards our neighbour is still needed. By this love we teach the next generation.

The Holy Spirit is being given still by God to believers. This Holy Spirit manifests in various ways, and teaches the power and authority God has invested in Jesus His Son by giving Jesus what is called a name: a powerful reputation by which Jesus is known and by which Nature is governed in keeping with God’s ordained order. Believers meeting in this name can find the Holy Spirit visiting their meetings imparting the presence of Jesus Christ among them. In private the same Holy Spirit can visit with similar grace too, such as in visions, dreams, instruction and comfort. It is all a further sign of the commending of Jesus by God who sent him, and the truthfulness of the apostles of Jesus who bore witness to the reality of this Holy Spirit and the giving of this Holy Spirit.

At one time long ago it was believed that only families of circumcised Jews, holding to the Law of Moses, could receive this Holy Spirit and learn to live this life. Jesus showed through his apostle Paul that actually this is for all who believe, both circumcised and uncircumcised, under the Law or not under the Law of Moses, on basis of faith alone. Believe and receive.
