Someone known who is much greater than the great Lord Jesus Christ, that someone is worth an intense focus. Jesus stands immensely tall in history as the teacher not only of right living but of right living in a context of knowledge of this one who even greater than Jesus. Who can this greater one be? Jesus calls this one The Father. Great in wisdom. Great in power. Great in willingness to be the one on whom humans, eventually even all humans, each and every one, can reverently, prayerfully call. Great in love. Look at the invisible powers at work behind the things visible to our sciences. Invisible, yet sometimes glimpsed, when they are allowed to be glimpsed. Atheists will argue that the glimpses are explicable in other ways. They argue that the Laws of Moses, there behind the legal systems we take for granted, are something which humans developed in stages over centuries, having started with codes of law of ancient Babylonians. Yet, nobody can really give adequate explanation how simple codes of law found in ancient Babylonian clay tablets suddenly included such an advance collection of laws we find on the Law of Moses, many of the laws now underpinning fundamental laws of nations and even principles such as those of the United Nations. This Law of Moses does suddenly appear in human history out of the blue, without any other such system of law ever having existed before it which is truly comparable in its wisdom and sophistication. Jesus took it as a given and then highlighted the parts so important to use as basis for a new way of life he was teaching, based firstly on the ten commandments enshrined centrally in that Law, and other greatest commandments that came with it, such as love towards the One God who gave this Law, and love towards those neighbours whose kindness towards us warrants love on a par to the love with which we each love ourselves. He introduced the Good Samaritan principle to enshrine in humanity that neighbourly law, showing clearly the spirit of it that we should keep. The God who sent Jesus is great enough to give such Law, and then to give Jesus to enshrine the spirit of its underlying principles in teachings spreading into all the world since Jesus came. Atheists will argue that the works seen in Nature can all be explained in scientific terms. That might be true of regular, repeatable, natural phenomena such as Science can study over and over and get the same observations and explain the same way. Other events are known to happen hidden from such study, yet revealed to not only a few but sometimes to many. Major events such as the parting of the Red Sea during the events following the plagues of Egypt and great Hebrew Exodus, these can be denied despite their commemoration yearly by Jews. Miracles seen in the time of Jesus, and greatest miracle of that time, his resurrection, after raising Lazarus from the dead, these too get denied, even by some who societies call its religious leaders. All this reveals to those who believe them a very great God, the Father of whom Jesus spoke. Yet today the miracles and works of God continue, seen by some, but not repeatable by scientists, some of which are even greater works than the former miracles, up until the resurrection at the return of Jesus Christ. In these great events is seen the great Father, greater than Jesus Christ, the one true God who will eventually create a new heaven and earth to replace what we see today. This Father is known most truly through what Jesus His Son makes known, and seen mainly by those who live out the teachings of Jesus.
