In the UK in the nineties an eagle was figuratively, prophetically, starting to be visioned over head. The dear Queen had been in power for some time, transformative, calming, and relatively peaceful in her highly respected reign. Yet, around her, unfaithfulness in marriages was springing up and becoming a little bit normalised. This was even after the church leaders had made a stand against such things. Bishops had tried to nail it all on the head, but this was a great strain experienced right there in royal inner circles. The country was a little conflicted in all of this, tending to push against the church rulings. Over time it became more and more normal to see teachings of Christ marginalised in regard to marriage and morality. It became a problem, to try to bring church people back to teachings of Jesus Christ and to marital faithfulness as a norm for Christian calling to saintliness was harder and harder. I suspect at some point many gave up, and just admitted the standards of Christ were not going to stick as a norm in British life. All the while the eagle was flying overhead. You see an eagle or a dark bird overhead symbolism in the media of our time. It is a warning. God is not pleased. His people in UK and beyond are straying from the great new covenant God has made in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. We need to return to His pure teachings, not only in our church doctrines, but in our lives, right from bottom to the top of society, or from top to bottom as it should be.
