Speculating. Thinking about 666, the mark of the Beast. I think we are encouraged to do this by the text which comes from the Book of Revelation, in the Bible, which is a book likely to have been originally written in a form of Ancient Greek that is called Koine Greek. It mentions Alpha and Omega, the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, to depict the concept of first and last. If this is the case, if it was not originally written in, say, Aramaic, then the number it includes for 666 was written as letters, chi, xi, and stigma. First of these, chi, has a sound like the ch in Scottish word loch, more like a ‘h’ than a ‘ch’. The second, xi, has a sound like ‘gs’, ‘cs’, ‘ks’, or ‘x’. The third, stigma, could have a sound like ‘sth’, but equally like a ‘w’, or silent ending. Phonetically, this could be a man’s name as it is spoken, with the vowels removed. This would not be inconsistent with the kinds of wordplay used in prophetic writings. If such a name were turned into a number, then doing so using one for one letter to number matching is only one way, and not necessarily the most ideal, since there could be many ways to spell the name, and many alternatives to matching letters to numbers depending on alphabets and nuances. A phonetic matching of the sounds of the name might be a little better, and more riddle-like, as is found in other scriptures, such as plays on words and riddles like the riddle told by Samson. Hence it needs riddle-solving skills, insights, wisdom, to solve it, or ‘calculate’ it. A cult emerging based around such a name, as part of a dystopian apocalyptic future maybe decades from now? A system depicted apocalyptically as a Second Beast built around such a cult driven by something akin to AI’s talking head, to give voice to those who proclaim the first Beast empire to be unbeatable, making everyone worship it? A worship of the first Beast based on nations such as the United Nations, composed of three parts, like the three largest Security Council members, characterised by speed of growth for the main part, with legs or feet like a sturdy, all-supporting diplomatic base, and having a mouth like a lion. It looks feasible, especially when it comes just after a period of global turmoil like no other. Give it few decades to come together. The first beast arises out of waters, like out of the United Nations comprising the many world nations. The second beast has two heads and emerges from land, so not from the united nations. The second is the worship leader speaking out for the first. A propaganda machine for the kingdom of the three superpowers combined maybe. Maybe it will happen like this. Be careful how much that second Beast gets your ear, if you see this day, after that global turmoil of the beginning of time of wrath of God. It will all be God avenging the martyrs, and the ruining of the planet. It will be time to meet together in urgent prayer for His mercy. Do not take that 666 mark of the Beast, even if refusing it is treated as a mortal crime.
