Out of the United Nations is starting to emerge a three part power of two competing extremes with China to the left, USA to the right, and between them a diplomatic steadying power of Russia. There is growing tendency for their three leaders to meet as a tripartite summit. Should the rest of the world be worried? Revelation describes a Beast coming out of the sea in the last times, characterised as a leopard, with the mouth of a lion, and the feet of a bear. It emerges to fullest power and shape after an extremely terrible time of the wrath of God, which comes after the heavenly ‘opening of the sixth seal’. It may be that this is prophesying the next half a century, and if so, then the three part power is indeed a worry, but more so after a coming time of terrible apocalyptic wrath. Only the Christ will finally overthrow it, but before then the followers of the righteousness of God will need to overcome it, and resist growing calls to serve it.
