Each one of us might do well to think how close we are to being part of God’s temple and kingdom. We might think how we all have a Christ, a ruler pleasing to the Father, as Lord over us, instructing us, who has come in the flesh, Jesus. We might do well to consider the extent to which we each of us believes this, and rejects the voices denying it. The voices denying it are called in scripture ‘antichrist’, and we are instructed to reject it as wicked, not even welcoming into our houses those voicing this denial. It is an inner battle. We must let our knowledge that Jesus has come in the flesh as Christ to be our Lord overcome the denial of it, rejecting as wicked the opposers of this knowledge. That brings us near to the kingdom of God, and near to being built up into being part of God’s Temple. It is the spirit which acknowledges Jesus as Lord and Christ that we should receive as our comfort and guide into all such truth.
