Acknowledgements

How rarely the miraculous is acknowledged. How rarely God is praised when He intervenes. UFO enthusiasts often point out that UFOs are rarely ever acknowledged officially or scientifically. Well, when it comes to rare moments of divine intervention power these not only rarely get official acknowledgement, they rarely get much acknowledgement at all. Maybe out of a hundred people that witness such a thing, one might give glory to God and acknowledge what they saw actually happened. If you are looking for evidence of faith and the works of God, take it into account that many witness them but out of those there are often few that admit it, and even fewer who praise God for it. The result is that many lack any real knowledge of the power of God. Even seeing it before their eyes, people somehow block it out, first by suppressing the natural behaviour of acknowledging it to those around them, and then by suppressing the memory and ramifications of what they saw. It also seems to me that the bigger the miracle, the more there are who ignore and blank out and refuse to say what they saw, presumably because saying anything only glorifies God on one hand, rather than themselves, and talking about it also garners unbelieving taunts. Neither seems worth the effort, maybe. That is sad. Glorify God. Tell of His works. Remind yourself of them. Ponder them in your heart. Treasure the memories. Maybe, if you can manage the struggle against reluctance or fear of doing so, acknowledge it openly too.
