Is genuine tongues with genuine interpretation a one in a million kind of eventuality? Not one in a million where I live. One in a thousand maybe. I felt left out most of my life. It was happening to others known to family, church friends, university friends. The person who took me to the service where it did happen to me assured me it would happen to somebody there, since it was so usual, and told me many churches in area (Methodist circuit - he was my lay preaching supervisor) were regularly having such ‘visitations’. I had been asking around about such things and someone in my church told him I was eager for a church with this kind of thing, so he offered to take me. There was a weight of spirit upon me all the way in the car to the service and during the service before the speaker spoke in this awesome eloquent heavenly language. The words effectively had what seemed like their own power to become English equivalents in my head. I had been praying for this for months, years.
