Trinitarianism is a post-apostolic reconstruction,
- created in a very specific cultural and intellectual environment,
- to address controversies and pressures that are not present today.
In this sense, it is historically “anachronistic,” meaning:
- it reflects the intellectual battles of the 2nd–5th centuries,
- but does not match the worldview of either the earliest Christians or the modern world.
