The Father loves the Son. The Son pleases the Father. Ultimately the throne Jesus will occupy for a thousand years is the throne of the Father. In the Psalm, quoted in Hebrews, the Father alludes to Jesus having this standing by calling Jesus “O God”. Yet it is the Father’s throne and the Son will give it back submissively. He is no usurper, nor is he proud. He loves the Father who gives him all things. Then the Father will be, as Revelation says, forever the One upon the throne. God, all in all. Yet the Son, the Lamb, will forever sit there beside Him.
