A prophecy about the killings of Gazans is already found in the Book of Enoch.
It’s part of a broader, long-range judgment—the deaths of the Northern Tribes of Israel, which began with the Assyrian conquests from 740 BC onward. This judgment has continued in different forms ever since.
The prophet Hosea, active just before the fall of Samaria, speaks of this judgment beginning—a time when God withdrew His protection because of persistent idolatry and injustice.
According to the Book of Enoch, seventy angelic watchers were appointed to oversee this judgment, each reigning for 40 years, making a total of 2800 years. That timeline brings us to the present era: it ends around 2060 to 2070.
The final twelve of these angels are condemned—not for causing the judgment, but because they allowed excessive death and destruction, more than those before them. When their reign ends, they are cast into the lake of fire, just as described in the closing visions of Enoch.
That means we are now in the final stretch. The judgment that began in Hosea’s day, with the Assyrian invasions, is still unfolding—but only has around 35 years left. And the violence we see now—including in Gaza and beyond—may be part of this final phase.
