Current geopolitical events

I used to think the Beast in Revelation might arise from the modern equivalents of the ancient empires in Daniel—Babylon, Persia, and Greece—focused on geography and legacy. But the more I observed the shifting global stage, especially when Trump began softening toward Putin, the picture began to change.

Three current superpowers began to stand out in startling alignment with Revelation 13:

Russia as the bear—offering traditionalism, diplomacy, and steady power, much like Persia under Cyrus.

China as the leopard—rising at unprecedented speed, dominant in surveillance and systems, just as Greece rapidly overtook the world in Alexander’s time.

And America as the mouth of the lion—a global voice of narrative and ideology, unmatched in propaganda, media, and the threat of force.

It’s no accident these three are the most powerful nuclear nations, permanent members of the UN Security Council. Together, they form not just a military alliance or political balance, but potentially the composite Beast—a system that mirrors Daniel’s vision, and more closely, John’s revelation.

This convergence is far more consequential than any coalition of lesser powers. And unlike ancient empires, these are global, digital, and ideologically armed. The Beast might not just rise from history—it may be assembling before our eyes.
