Finding that Jesus is alive, after 2000 years, means he must be alive forever. The testimony of John the Baptist was that Jesus is the Lamb of God. The testimony of the apostle John is that he saw Jesus die on the cross: The pure Lamb of God who died on the cross for the remission of the sins of others. Believing this means he must be risen from the dead. The gospel is the message that he is the Christ and he died for you. Believing this and receiving the Holy Spirit miraculously is the seal on all of this. It is also the seal on discipleship of Jesus which comes from receiving these teachings of John the Baptist, and Jesus, and his apostles. The Holy Spirit then imparts truth, truth which sets free. This is a seal which marks the believing disciple and unites them with other believers, especially in the Lord’s Supper celebration: United in one body; the body of Christ. Many blessings come from God the Father because of all these things and believing them. Learn to walk in these things, persistently, permanently. It is how to become a son of God. It leads to eternal life and resurrection when Jesus Christ comes.
