Jesus’ name means “salvation.” What is he saving people from? Well it is not good to be living a sinful life. It leads to many problems because it is judged. Prison for some. Even death. Even doom on Judgment Day. Lots of lesser problems too which can all mount up and escalate. Best to be free of it. How? Jesus is called Salvation because he saves his people from it. He saves his people from their sins. So to be saved by him, you need to be one of his people. Who are his people? His true disciples are his people. So you need to be his disciple for him to save you from your sins. How? First, believe that Jesus is this Savior. Alive from the dead having died for sins, your sins, my sins, for everyone really. Then, hold to his teachings. By doing this, you become his disciple. Not temporarily: permanently. Once you are his, keep holding on. Keep to his teachings. Remain his disciple. So he keeps on saving you.
