Nobody, including myself of course, has perfect understanding and grasp of Lord Jesus’s teachings. It is enough when the Father and Son are so satisfied that the commands are followed that they show themselves to the follower. At this point we might find we can start to obey the commission to preach to others. If I am sent to build God ‘s temple, I need first to learn the teachings of Christ and to know the Father and the Son so I can make them known. This is where I can do a check on whether I truly obey their commands as much as I am able. Doing so if I was obeying, I asked the Father and Son to give me real knowledge experientially of them and of the Holy Spirit so I could preach them to all. Visions, perceptions, touch, indwelling, welling up, constraining. After they showed me this knowledge, I could preach. Like Isaiah seeing the Lord and being able to answer the call “Who shall I send?”. It was also important, having been earlier in life baptised, to have missionaries or elders lay on hands, to be set apart for this work: Signs following. As we go, the Spirit leads us. The gaps in knowledge start to be filled little by little over years. Then we can comfort others with the comfort we have received, not holding back anything of what might be of help. The joy then grows. Yet the joy of Christ Jesus is greatest of all of us, and the Father gives him this in His very great love for His Son. The Holy Spirit seals it, making it certain. And I pass on what I am given, so that my joy may be complete.
