The Son of Man, who existed in immortal divine form in heaven, took on human flesh, bringing God’s good news to mankind. As the sacrificial Lamb of God, he was crucified, suffering greatly in his mortal body and dying for all. But God raised him from the dead, thus anointing him with surpassing joy, and lifting him to ultimate lordship. This man, Jesus, is truly worthy, and is therefore appointed by God to judge everyone, both the living and the dead.
