Some of you tell me I am not a real Christian because I do not follow “early Church Fathers” Augustine and Athanasius. I do not interpret Jesus’s sayings such as “I am he” to mean he is God. Well when I next pray the Lord’s Prayer, and I get to the words about forgiving those who trespass against me, so that God (i.e. the Father) will forgive me, well, I will be trying to forgive you. It will be tough, because I will have in the back of my mind all the unsaved who stumbled over the misinterpretation and misrepresentation and did not get to believe in the true Jesus because the Jesus they heard about was a distortion of the true one. God helping me, I will probably forgive, and God in turn will forgive me my sins too.
