Aaron was appointed by God, but while Moses was on the mountain with God, Aaron set up a golden calf for people to worship ad claimed it just came out of the fire, like it was God’s own doing. While Jesus is in heaven, the appointed leaders are setting up doctrines of men to replace teachings of Jesus, and claiming they come from holy councils, like they are a result of God’s providence. Jesus will return. Will it be like the anger God had to see what Aaron did, and Moses had when he too saw it? Or will the Son of Man be comforted to see at least a little faith still on the earth?
