I find that in both Scripture and direct vision interaction, it is the Father who declares, "I am God."
Throughout the Bible, it is the Father who speaks as the one true God. He is the One who revealed Himself to the prophets, who gave the Law to Moses, and who sent Jesus into the world. Jesus Himself never claimed to be God in the way the Father did. Instead, He always pointed back to the Father as "the only true God" (John 17:3) and acknowledged that the Father was greater than Him (John 14:28).
Even in direct visions and revelations, those who encounter the divine hear this declaration from the Father, not Jesus. Jesus appears as the Messiah, the Son of God, the Lord, but the One who proclaims “I AM GOD” is always the Father. This truth has been obscured by later theological developments, but those who seek the original gospel will find that Jesus never sought to take the Father’s place—He always directed worship and obedience to the One who sent Him.
