Thomas seeing Jesus risen from the dead, saying ”my Lord and my God ” could have been recognising the work of God in the resurrection of Jesus, and praising God for it, while also praising Jesus, his lord, for having died for him and been worthy of that resurrection. So a two-fold prayer of praise, praise to Jesus for dying and praise to the Father for raising Jesus. My Lord and my God.
