Shame

 Drawing a parallel between the early Church Councils and Israel’s failure at Mount Sinai, where Aaron and the people acted presumptuously in Moses’ absence, leading to idolatry and corruption (Exodus 32): In my view, the Councils acted similarly—taking authority upon themselves in a way that overstepped God’s clear instruction, altering doctrine in a manner that provoked blasphemy, and thereby losing the Holy Spirit’s blessing.
